Good morning, Thursday
BARB-hope Penny enjoys her new things from Dover, and since I guess the gloves are for you, wear them in good health BETH-nice to get orders. hope it's not too much. enjoy your chair. AMY-have a good day at the office.
woke up to a text from a neighbor that 3 deer were in my flowers. I looked and they were in the pachysandra and they are welcome to that. will go out now and spray the rhodies (organic mint/garlic stuff) and hope there are some buds left. I usually lose half in the winter to the deer. hope my bulbs are ok. Explains why some small things are pulled out and I have to plant them again. I don't even bother planting much anymore. they just eat the stuff, so annoying.

Good morning ! Spent another night on the couch -coughing -called my doctor (not immediate care) & have an appointment with someone there (NP?) later this morning-(DH was yelling at me at 3am that i had to go see a doctor!) Hope to get out to use the new brushes on Penny after that -The barn had another baby cow yesterday -and they think 1 or 2 more due! they are so cute. New Barn vet coming tomorrow for spring shots -and I'm going to swap out a few pieces at the "pop up" shop in the mall -so far nothing has sold -I am committing to one more month -then will pull all if nothing sells.
Faye- the deer always like our tulips so we gave up planting them -they are there one day -gone (chewed off) the next!
Beth -great about repeat customers! they are always the best.
Amy -have "fun" at the office!
Cathy-hope you get a swim in -do you swim for time or distance?
Libby- picking out kitchen stuff is so much fun -enjoy
Dutch -hope all is settling down at your place!

Good morning. Have already started working on the rest of the caps order. Tonight is our Maundy Thursday service at church. DH is singing in the choir. Service usually lasts about an hour.
Watered my hay bales this morning. Also took a 30 minute walk at the school track. Was able to do a 20 mile minute. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi horse lovers, I feel so bad that I've only seen Rosie once since I've been back! It was for her birthday oats w/dgd's. Tuesday night and Wednesday I had my other dgd with me - so, it's been all about the grandkids, ds (who has had a fever and got put on antibiotics yesterday) and spring break since I've been back. Now I feel like I can concentrate on me again! I did accept another very part time position as a nurse consultant with an Early Head Start Child Care program that is very close to home. It will be about 1 - 3 hours a month. A gal I used to work with owns the place now and she is such a fun person They called me the day I got home and I really struggled with whether to do it or not. Dh mentioned it would help pay for the horses hay and it's not much of a commitment. Happy birthday to Penny! Cathy; I picked out the drawer pulls, I'm not going to do knobs, just pulls. Wish I would have picked everything out at first-I can't make decisions well! Wave to Beth, Faye, Cathy, Barb, Dutch and Amy The kitchen moved along well yesterday! I've cooked in it each evening, absolutely love it! Now I just need electricity in it lol! DSIL will be doing the work - maybe this Saturday or I might have to wait till next Saturday. He quite often works his job on Saturdays, so he wasn't sure. Said he'd do it on Easter - I told him no, I'd wait.

Hi, all! Faye, bummer about the flowers; I know some folks have deer issues in our area, but even though it's considered "rural", folks have fences and stuff. Libby, at least you got the pulls picked out! I sort of knew what I wanted: the Arts and Crafts kitchen I couldn't afford in my house got put into the townhouse I don't think 1-3 hr/month will strain you. Unless they start asking for more, then you'll need to think it over again. The $ will come in handy. Beth, yay for repeat customers! Glad you got in the walk, sounds like your speed is increasing! What does "Maundy" celebrate? Is it the evening before Good Friday? Barb, sorry about the continued coughing...some of that might be a form of asthma so an inhaler might help. Hopefully NP has some suggestions! Amy, enjoy the work day Hi to Dutch! I did get in a swim yesterday and it was very quiet. Hardly anyone there so nice; wish I could have stayed longer but had things to finish at work. Today we try for 2nd attempt at mold remediation, since they didn't show up on Tuesday as promised. The guy doing the work actually called yesterday to agree to a time; I doubt they'll miss twice. Cathy

CATHY-hope the mold remediation guy shows. glad you swam. Fences need to be 8 ft high to stop deer and town allows to abou t6 ' so fence for deer for me doesn't make sense. LIBBY-so glad you like the kitchen! hope DGD is better. that job does sound good as long as it sticks to that amount of time. BARB-tulips are like candy for deer. heard the same for roses. at least they don' t like daffodils. even some things they don't like they eat of mine. I think of them as 4-legged pruners! feel better, hope the dr. can help
AMY-have a good day at work DUTCH-hi

What does "Maundy" celebrate? Is it the evening before Good Friday? Christians today observe Maundy Thursday, which commemorates the Last Supper and Jesus washing the feet of his disciples. Here are some important things to know about Maundy Thursday: What does Maundy mean? The Thursday before Easter is known as either Maundy Thursday, or Holy Thursday. Maundy is derived from the Latin word for "command," and refers to Jesus' commandment to the disciples to "Love one another as I have loved you." What does it commemorate? Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper, which Christians consider the institution of Holy Eucharist, also known as the Lord's supper or communion. It is described in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 22. At the Last Supper with his disciples, Jesus breaks bread, saying, "This is my body," and pours wine, saying, "This is my blood." He then asks the disciples to "Do this in remembrance of me." What holiday was Jesus observing? The Last Supper is derived from Jesus' Jewish heritage and his observance of a Jewish holiday. The Last Supper was a Passover Seder, the feast of unleavened bread. Jesus and the disciples are eating unleavened bread. Passover is the Jewish festival commemorating the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, when they left so quickly there was no time for the bread to rise. Why foot-washing? Maundy Thursday is also associated with foot-washing. Jesus washed the feet of the disciples, an act described in the Gospel of John, chapter 13, as Jesus teaching them to be servants. It's the ultimate act of "servant leadership." Jesus instructs his followers to love and to serve. Most Catholic churches will have a Mass tonight, with a Eucharistic celebration that includes the washing of feet. Maundy Thursday has a dark side Jesus foretells his death at the Last Supper, saying he will eat no more until the kingdom of God is fulfilled. It also marks an act of betrayal. "One of you will betray me," Jesus says. Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus' 12 disciples, is pointed out by Jesus as the one who will betray him.

Doctor said basically same thing the immediate care people said-not much to do but ride it out-the cough can hang in for 4-5 weeks Just continue what I've been doing ( lungs, ears etc all clear) added some musinex to my drug list. At least DH can't say anything about it!

Morning all - first night of real sleep - combined the tynelol w/coedine & nyquil ( per doctors instructions!) and slept like a log -actually feel almost normal this morning -no coughing yet -maybe this is finally leaving me -sorry to have bored you all with the details!
New barn vet coming this afternoon for spring shots (Our old vet of 30 years retired from equines -got tired of 8pm colic calls!) Where as the old practice was a general equine -after looking at many in the area and getting recommendations we picked one who is a "sport horse" practice but of course will see us trail queens!
Amy -loved the photo of DD -that jump is very impressive! Not that this may apply to your office situation but years ago a friend of mine who was the office mgr for her DH's vet practice - when they advertised (remember this was years ago -in the paper!) she stated the requirements and then final sentence " hand written cover letters only" and those who sent a computer cover letter were automatically ruled out for not following directions!

Hi everyone! Happy Easter Weekend, if that's your thing! DS is doing great (now has a cough... I fear a cold, but that's another worry!). He's at Grandparents for 2 nights - he's in 7th heaven! DH is better. He has a personal counselor that helped him a lot on Thursday - I'm grateful for that. I'm ok about the accident. I of course want to squeeze him to death and smoother him in kisses, it's my job But I'm ok.

The dining area in my house is open to the roof now! It was cold in the house this morning, we are all huddled by the propane stove in the lvrm drinking coffee this morning. Dbil and Dsil are staying with us while he works on the kitchen project. The are driving back to Alaska in a week or two. I had some catching up to do on rest! Went out to our trailer and took a 2 hours nap yesterday! It's parked in front of the house waiting for me to clean it out lol! Maybe I'll do that today. We celebrate Easter, yet haven't joined a church here. Have one up the road a couple of miles that we can watch the service online. DH used to go and ds and I would watch online when he was on bedrest. Will have Easter brunch with my dd's inlaws, they live just a few miles a way in a wonderful home, they just told us they are moving to their "retirement" home which will be built for them, it's about 25 minutes away. I'll miss them being so close! Cathy; I really hope the mold person showed up yesterday! Faye and Barb; I was looking at my phone last night and realized I haven't posted all those harp pictures I took at the museum yet! Sorry! Dutch and Barb; sounds like your both on the mend! Amy; glad you've been getting to ride! Beth; thanks for the info! I'm glad you and dh are well again. How is the walking going? Waving to all, need to order those drawer pulls and get some inside cabinet protection so I can start unpacking when the drawer pulls get put on

Hi, all! Faye, yeah, I forgot...deer can jump REALLY high Barb, glad the extra med helped with sleep. It really will make you feel better! Hope you like the new vet. Amy, I missed a post somewhere (or maybe on FB?), about daughter jumping? Hope things are going well. Beth, thanks for the info re: Maundy Thursday. What is interesting, at least from my standpoint, is that India has today off, Good Friday. Now, they are not overwhelmingly Christian, which again, is interesting. We on the other hand, in the US, working for the SAME company, do not get today off. Hope you got in a walk today! Libby, I hope the opening in the roof is for the skylight (I think you mentioned that)? Is it going in today? Sounds like it's moving along Dutch, glad DS is feeling better and having fun at GPs! Good that DH is feeling better, as well as you So...the mold guys did show up, but apparently it's only to investigate to create the estimate. I know get to wait for that to be sent to the agent and then have insurance tell me how little they'll pay. The thing I realized is that if this hadn't taken so long, the mold wouldn't have had a chance to start, so I honestly don't think I should pay anything. I will bring this up, both with the agent AND in the nasty letter Going to parents tonight for dinner out; niece is here but leaving early on Sunday so we don't get the usual carb-load breakfast Dad cooks. The rest of the weekend is mine, for the first time in a few weeks. Would like to go for a hike, but the weather is iffy. We'll see Have a lovely Good Friday, for those that celebrate! Cathy

LIBBY-sounds like things are moving along and you're very busy. 25 min isn't that far so hopefully it will be ok BARB-hope you like the new vet. What's a "sports vet"? DUTCH-glad DS is ok and DH is feeling better. accidents happen. BETH-hope DH enjoyed singing yesterday. thanks for the info.

Hi - we did a short ride (3miles) before the vet came -this new practice is so very different from my old one -as I said -he had been my vet for almost 30 years -this practice came w/recommendations from many people -they say they "specialize in sport horses" which of course we at our barn are not! Didn't get warm fuzzies -but nothing bad -they were more aggressive (not sure if that is the right word) about proceedures -wanted to know when last fecal was done (never) -old vet said in our situation and regular 3-4 months worming unless we had a problem no need- The other woman who's 32 yo paint has cushings & is on pergoglide - well -1- they don't use that any more -something different (guessing more $$); asked about blood work levels (old vet never did any -symptoms, age etc -yes -it's cushings & the meds have helped) so wanted to do blood work (which she did ) but we both laughed when they left cause they wanted her to let them know what the original levels were. All in all -for just shots -we are probably fine -will continue to ask around to see what others have done and we can always switch next year.
Have art gallery duty tomorrow so no ride -but plan on sunday -Happy Easter to you all - Faye - SUnday our temple does a matzo bri brunch-we are going!

Good evening. I spent most of the day working on the cozies. I have the order boxed and ready to mail tomorrow morning. As to Easter, We go to his parents house tomorrow for the family dinner. All of us in the family have other commitments on Sunday.
The service last night was nice. Lasted about 45 minutes. The choir sang one sang and then the rest of the singing was congregational singing. Sunday DH says that the choir will have about 3-4 songs to sing besides the regular congregational songs. He sings tenor. There are 3 tenor singers in the choir.

Hi All,
I put comments under your posts. I am not sure of the "jumping" photo you are seeing. A student from my DD 1's school went to the World Competition in Ireland. That might be what you are seeing. My DD-1 helped a lot with her training in the past year when the main teacher was out for months so DD-1 feels very invested in the students performance. On that note they decided to add another teacher Certification test in the U.S. and DD 1 got in!
I am making Easter Brunch tomorrow for the immediate family so I need to shop for that food. I might also pick up some lamb for dinner if they have a cut I want to make.
I am going to wear the dress to Mass that I bought to wear to a wedding out of state last summer. We forgot to put the garment bag in the car so DH had to buy a suit and I wore an extra dress I had packed in case we went out to dinner. I had new shoes too so I better go try it all on. I am pretty sure I haven't changed size.
Have to get going on the shopping and do some decorating.

Good afternoon. DH and I will be leaving to go to his family Easter dinner. Not looking forward to it. His DB creates lots of drama that DH and I hate. I have my mac and cheese in the oven to take over there. Made a second dish of mac and cheese to take to my DM's tomorrow after church.
Got the cap order mailed this morning. Missed out on watching April the giraffe have her baby. Baby is so cute though.

Happy Easter
Well the family drama wasn't bad surprisingly. DBIL was 40 minutes late which is not uncommon for him plus he was bringing the meat so we had to wait for him. Other than that it was a pleasant afternoon.
Today after church we have lunch with my side of the family. DM ordered chicken from KFC yesterday and I will pick up the order today after church. Makes it very convenient and not much of a clean up.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Beth - enjoy your KFC -I love that but haven't had it in years! And HAPPY EASTER to all who celebrate!
Yesterday at gallery was as expected -no one even came in -the woman I sat with got me on Instagram! I'm coming into the next century! Not sure I totally understand it -but will post some glass photos now & then.
Still coughing -although not as much! Off to the brunch then will ride -DH will help me take the strips down off the shed either today or tomorrow -now if the mud will just dry up -but they are predicting rain Wed - Fri so guess it's not happening this week!
Waving to all - HAGD - ride if you can

Happy Easter and Sunday, It's cold in my house! Put plastic on the ceiling in the second half of the remodel (the dining area). It was 52 degrees in the house this morning! bedrooms are warm Not sure what dd's in-laws are making for brunch today at 1:00. Will spend some time cleaning the camper out and manure management w/dh and tractor. Dh wants me to go get Rosie and bring her home. He is concerned as Heidi's sig stopped by the other night at 8:30 and wanted to borrow a bale of hay. He said he was suppose to stop by the feed store on the way home, he got stuck in traffic and the feed store was closed. 6 horses there and she didn't have hay? He said the hay was supposed to be delivered the day before, yet the hay guy didn't show. I've gotten low on hay before-yet never out of hay! Yikes! I probably need to get the camper unhooked and go get her this week. Wave to Cathy, Faye, Beth, Amy, Barb, and Dutchwife HAGD
