Good morning- BETH- glad your neck is better. would a massage help with the stiffness? Did DH ever do a camp bus? LIBBY-enjoy camping with the horses and DGD. DUTCH-Ally sleeping sounds cute. Then again, I wouldn't mind getting up for a new pair of shoes LOL AMY-sounds like a good plan to wait one more show with better footing to see about moving up. CATHY-sorry about the pillow. hard to find a good one.
waving to all. last Kabbala class today but it's 2 so will be there 2 hrs (last week they had to cancel).

HI All, Faye- What did you think of Kabbala class?
Beth- DH turning in his bus soon, that school year seemed to go fast in some way. I am glad the sharp pain is gone.
Cathy- My DH likes his "my pillow", I have been considering one but not sure I would like it. He got a firm one which is not what I like so I can't really tell from his. Have you started painting again?
Libby- So did you end up doing all the kitchen painting yourself?
Dutch- any word back on the new job prospect?
Barb- are you doing anything special with horses this summer? Good question about how to camp with horses, Libby?
It is raining a lot this morning. I am going to go out and ride in the indoor with friends. The rain will mean no mulching today and also means I like my plan this year of only buying enough mulch to put down in a day so I don't have a pile of mulch soaking up rain.
Probably will work on some personal space organizing today. the cabinet under my bathroom sink has gotten out of hand!

Good morning.
Last day for DH to drive. School is a half day so he has to be back to school at 11am. He turns the bus in to the bus shop tomorrow morning.
As to camping with horses... We used to tie them to the trailer with enough slack in the rope to be able to put their heads down to eat out of the nosebags with. Also tied a hay bag next to them to eat on all night. We would hand water them often during the day. We ourselves would pitch a tent to sleep in and cook on a Coleman stove for meals. There often was 12-14 of us all camping together and looking out for each others horses and just cook communal meals. While riding we would pack the saddlebags with sandwiches and stuff and take a break about mid ride. We had a lot of fun. DH's horse Squiggle was usually the lead trail horse as he was calm and would go through just about any obstacle. My horse Sugar often was near the back (by design) so all the spider webs would be knocked down before I rode through.

Trotting thru DH is in an ALS research study and we are going downtown Seattle to the university hospital for a spinal tap and blood work this morning. He has some type of muscular dystrophy, not ALS yet similar. He has had it since 1989 and it is slowly progressing. The ice bucket challenge gave lots of funds for research and this is some of the benefits HAGD everyone!

Hi, all!
Faye, enjoy your last Kabbala class for the year! Beth, sorry about the continued neck pain. Hope the chiro helps! Barb, stay dry! Have fun with paperwork. Amy, nothing like working on small areas to organize. I think I'm going to get back to the bathroom cabinet...stale-mate for a few months. Libby, your morning sounds exhausting. Hope DH does OK. Sorry about his struggles. I like the idea of a corral versus tie up. If something spooked them, I'd be worried. Dutch, hope you like the hair cut, have fun will Ally if you get the time.
IT is trying to fix my work laptop. I'm getting odd pop-ups, in German no less.
Driving over the hill today (and of course, it's rainy-drizzly) for lunch with old horse friends. Cat seems recovered, she slept most of yesterday.

Camping sounds like somewhat fun -we used to camp in a pop up trailer (not w/ horses- just DS!) I'm definitely not a tent person! And I'd be afraid to trust Penny like that - as she can be mare-ish at times! But have fun - Libby -hope this brings some relief/help for DH -Beth feel better -
Made appointments for my colonoscopy & echo cardiogram my primary doc wants me to have - also due for mamo -just so much fun~

Oh No!!! DH just called me and said his bus broke down in the middle of his route! He called the bus shop and they're bringing him an extra bus to finish his route. How ironic on the last trip of the last day of school LOL.

Hi to all,
WI down 1.2 but not "new" weight. feeling more motivated though so I might not quit. My eldest sister just joined WW so now I would feel kind of bad quitting I think we could motivate each other with texts and stuff. She lives outside D.C. in Chevy Chase MD so we don't see a lot of each other, mostly holidays.
Right now they are predicting thunder storms for Sunday's horse show. If that is the case I may not go because I can put up with rain but not lightening, we will see.
Lukas gets the day off today. I will probably get some more gardening done.

Hi horse lovers, DH was exhausted yesterday, 7 vials of blood and the spinal tap took way too long, over an hour 1/2. They had to poke him many times. We got home at 3pm and he was in and out of bed with back pain the rest of the day. I'm going to keep a good eye on him today, he kept moaning last night in his sleep. An infection in the spine could be awful! It was red and a little swollen last night. I'm probably not going camping after all. My dgd's mother is driving up north of us to stay with her husband who is on a job, so she will drop the girls off Saturday late afternoon. Cuts our time together short. They will be happy just to play in the hot tub, ride horses at home and have a camp fire in the front yard and have s'mores. It actually will be easier for me lol! The neighbors are having a memorial day block party on Monday. I wrote comments under everyone's posts yesterday Enjoyed working on Wednesday, nice childcare center. I hope I didn't overwhelm them with all my recommendations, tried to prioritize them, do item 1-3 now (safety issues), do next items 4-6 before I come back next month, work on 7-12 in the future. They do a good job, the director is new and I just have way too much experience with this, I could overwhelm then easily! lol Nice sunny day again here today this is amazing for Seattle area!! Will plant my flowers I bought the other day and go to the nursery just around the corner and talk with them about some plans. What is everyones plans for the weekend?

Good morning. Just doing laundry today. DH had to go to the bus shop this morning to turn in paperwork and meetings. He has until 6-1-17 to be off and then he has a class of bus drivers to train for next year. Right now he is the only official bus driver trainer for the county system but will probably have some assistants to help for this class.
No special plans for the weekend except Sunday is DH's bday and he wants to go to Longhorn Steakhouse for his bday meal.

CATHY-did IT fix the pop ups? any move on a contractor? So, what time did your friends show up for lunch. I have friends that always come late, it's just a personality thing I think . They mean well, just always late. Me, I'm there before things open. Hope it didn't aggravate you too much. BETH-how interesting that DH is a trainer for bus drivers. glad he should be getting help with it. How long is it to train drivers? does he have time to relax before the school semester starts again? How's the neck?? LIBBY-glad you like "camping " in the Backyard. happy you are having nice weather. the Day care sounds nice and good you are aware not to overwhelm them. Hope DH feels better and doesn't get an infection. Was this done at a hospital or a research place? AMY-congrats on the WL. I don't do thunder, I don't do ice. the rest is just wet smart not to go if thunder. BARB-any thing selling in the new location? I forget if they open in July. did you have outreach this week? We are expecting rain today but nice tomorrow. foot is ok. tore a ligament in the toe. go figure. said to do whatever I want depending on pain and I got a Metatarsal pad which does help in driving. not much else bothers me if in comfy shoes. Just need to be careful in yoga not to pull toes back in certain poses--no mermaid for me right now says it takes 12 weeks from time of injury for pain to subside. pain is very low and or not there unless I make it mad so trying to be nice to it Pilates was fine yesterday, really love it. today , yoga. tomorrow we do a Mansion tour. they take an old said historical house and the decorators go to town. I think i actually once had an MRI in the building (it was once a medical building, now not sure what's in it). and you can buy things. Went to one years ago and bought DD a couple of pictures for the wall and a small corner table. and they have a garden and a tent for food. should be fun. REst of weekend just some gardening and weeding, maybe I'll be daring and get an annual. waving to all. HAGD

Hi, all! Faye, glad foot was diagnosed...wonder what you did to tear a toe ligament? Enjoy the Mansion tour, sounds fun! Beth, oh...poor DH! Nothing like a bus realizing it's the last day and wants it to last How many people does he have to train? Have a nice dinner Sunday! Barb, wow, you are going to a poke-and-prod place in life! The one thing I liked about the colonoscopy is how you felt after the "cleanse". I can see why people do it, recreationally Amy, yeah, no thunder storms at a horse show, thank you...smart decision Have fun in the garden! Libby, poor DH...it sounds miserable and 3 or 4 pokes for a spinal tab sounds like someone didn't know what they were doing? Or are they difficult? Sounds like the new gig is a good one, they will appreciate your experience in the long run Hi to Dutch! Yeah, yesterday I ranted a bit on FB. The woman who sets up these lunches WAS an old horse friend and I got tired of last minute cancellations, all on her side. Lots of other issues too, so I can see these things creeping into these lunches and I'm "ready to bolt"! She said we can split the distance more evenly but that's not the real problem; it's her lack of compassion on the effect her tardiness creates. She's still the same...it took me over an hour to get home due to traffic because of her lateness. Today is busy. A couple of co-workers are coming over the hill to this side, and we're meeting another co-worker at a bakery to get a dessert, which we can expense to the company. It's their 35 yr anniversary and since we have no office party, we're allowed to have dessert on them Another friend is over here visiting her sister and she wants to come by, and then there is rehearsal tonight at 5:30. I wonder if I'm going to miss that...I guess we'll see how it all goes. My mom called last night...well, she FaceTimed me and didn't realize it...and said niece was in town and they were going to do Fish Market today. I had to opt out (mostly because I didn't want to drive that again today ). I think I'm just going to work on things around the TH this weekend (bathroom cabinets, working on weeds in "backyard", etc). There's another Meetup hike on Monday I'm signed up for. Will just see how the weather goes. Cathy

Hi All,
Going to Harrisburg Artfest this morning. It is family tradition, and I am very much looking forward to it. Then off to the barn to bathe Lukas and clean tack for tomorrows show. It looks like the Thunderstorms are now predicted for Monday.
Beth- Happy Birthday to DH, if his birthday is Sunday then we share a birthday. Longhorn is a good choice. (I might pick it too)
Faye- be nice to your toe! Sounds a little annoying but at least the cure is not bad. What annual did you buy?
Barb-thanks for the reminder to make check-up appointments.
Libby- So sorry to hear DH testing was so rough. Sounds like you have a fun plan for the kids even without camping. They also just want time with you so what ever you do will be great.
Cathy- glad kitty's health is on the upswing. I am usually an on time person too. I also think cell phones have added to the problem because people think it is OK to be late as long as they contact you.
Dutch- that photo made me laugh, at first I didn't see Ally and I was like "what am I looking at?" LOL. She is a growing girl, needs lots of rest.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Going on that Mansion tour this morning. have fun at the Artfest. and good luck at the show tomorrow. BETH-Happy Birthday to DH. when does he start teaching the bus driver course? BARB-any riding plans with the friend again? DUTCH-any news on the interviews? CATHY-if you get to rehearsal, have fun. if not, hope you are having a good time with your friend.

Good Morning- Libby - sorry about DH - hope he is feeling better today- I know what you mean about being on time/late - I used to have a friend that we would tell 15 minutes earlier than we wanted to meet and she still was late - I always feel if I'm not 5 mins early I am late! Amy -glad the weather looks like it's holding - good luck tomorrow -if you braid today will Lukas keep the braids in ok? LOL And early Happy Birthday! Beth - Happy birthday to DH- the only instructor in the county -that's pretty impressive! Faye- feet are funny -glad you got it looked at and know what's what! Take it easy - Cathy- hope you get a swim in and enjoy your time w/ your friend. Dutch - nice looking area -now we want a photo w/ Ally in it!
I pulled glass from the mall store yesterday (nothing sold in 2 mos) and pulling from the small store tomorrow (nothing in one month but don't see it improving & they said they would refund June's rental) Talked w/ the owner of a new shop in a more upscale area -shop is very nice - with a lot of very good quality - will go in on consignment (only 70/30 which is great) so will inventory the next few days and take stuff out next week. This shop is also only open Thursday -SUnday which for where it is makes sense.
I got to Upreach yesterday (a half hour drive) and it wound up the client didn't show -they usually call in advance -oh well - it rained most of the day - so didn't even get to the barn. Heading out in a bit to ride before it rains again -tomorrow may be nice then....more rain......getting really tired of this -we actually put the heat on the other day to take the damp chill off!

Hi, all! Faye, hope the Mansion tour was nice! Barb, yeah, sounds like the new shop will more productive since it's in a high traffic area. Nice that the other shop will refund June. Hope you get in that ride today! Amy, good luck tomorrow! I hope the storms hold off and things go well. Enjoy the Artfest! Dutch, too funny...she DOES look like a big stone in the field Hi to Libby and Beth...both having too much fun today I hope! Yeah, yesterday was a little stressful, but all got done. Our dessert celebration went longer than I thought and then my other friend showed up 20 minutes before I had to leave for rehearsal but I made it. Didn't sleep well last night at all...woke up tired, which doesn't bode well for my 'tude! Did some garden work (trying to even out the dirt in the "backyard" so got a hoe at ACE), will have lunch and then work on the bathroom cabinets. I think I'll swim tomorrow and then the hike is Monday. Cathy

BARB-hope the new store does better for you. Sorry about the Upreach client not showing up. Holiday weekends sometimes do that, I think DUTCH-glad you had fun planting and had help! CATHY-the tour was fun but nothing I'd buy. but at the end there were some boutique shops set up and I got some fancy vinegars . Are you painting the cabinets? how was rehearsal? was the other harpist that you played with there? AMY-How was the artfest? good luck at the show and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIBBY-hope DH is feeling better. BETH-any plans for the weekend? Do you do flowers too or just vegetables?
Mansion tour was fun. weird designs. a peacock feather lamp for example. but fun to see and it was a stunning castle/home with stained glass windows that were lovely. Funny thing is it was a private mansion in the gilded age, then a church, then a medical building and I had an MRI there many years ago. I figured out where the waiting room was! so fun to see the whole building. And the gardens were stunning
waving to all. may try to get a few flowers tomorrow and run some errands if it doesn't rain.

good morning all, Have to go load up the car for the show soon. there is a 30% chance of T-storms but that means 70% chance it won't so I am going.
Artfest was nice. Overcast, so we didn't roast in the sun like some years. One vendor I really like was listed but not there so that was disappointing. I got a casual bracelet from one place and picked out a necklace at another that DH bought and is wrapping up for my birthday. DH also bought a wood pen and letter opener set as a parting gift for our associate dentist who is leaving our office. DD1 got Cowboy Kettle Corn. YUM!
Faye- that mansion tour sounds super interesting and fun.
Barb- don't have to braid for this show, thank goodness I don't think Lukas would do that well. I should just practice one day and see.
Hi to everyone else- I really have to get that car packed LOL... procrastination.
