Luv, drugs was the first thought in my mind! How awful!
Read but just posting a recap of our time here as I'm on the mini iPad. Didn't arrive until 9:15 last night. DH was frustrated but calmed after reminding him it won't make a difference 10 yrs from now. Stayed one night then moved in today. All set for the rest of the weekend. Took a boat ride, got late and no one deciding what we were all doing for dinner so DF ate and I finally settled for hot dogs. Hate when people lolly gag. DH had no idea it was so late so was fine with it.
I hear spray so will read until bugs settle down.

Evening all. I posted photos of the sundress (now finished) and the old sweatshirts. DH & I walked a total of 4 miles, being sure we took our walk through the alleys that have murals. The borough even has a mosaic that says "Mural Corridor" at the end of one of the alley's. We had a great lunch at a new place which is a Farm to Table type of place. We continued our walk, stopping for ice cream, a cupcake and finally a beer in the beer garden.
Once back at home I put the hem in and ended up moving up the straps on the sundress as DDIL was worried DGD would get tangled up as she crawls along. All is completed and is ready to take with us on Friday. Finally I finished the WW lecture. DH had HGTV on and I was following along with Beachfront Bargain Hunters.
Luv - how tragic for the family - so sad what the wife/mom will have to deal with.
Betty - nice page turn.
RV - hope the rain stopped for you.
Heading to bed soon, I was up late last night.

Good morning. It's finally sunny and warm out and since I'm saying this at 7AM, I thinks it's going to be a very hot day. Today DH and I will explore more of Boston. Our apartment is really well situated. In front of the building, you walk to downtown and Faneuil Hall. To the right is Beacon Hill, Boston Common, etc. Behind us is the Charles River. To the left is the North End with its Italian restaurants, and the Old North Church and Paul Revere's House.
I learned a lot from the Duck Tour - for example, did you know that Revere had 16 children? Or that he lived well into his 80's? That it wasn't "one if by land, two if by sea" - it was two if by river! And not "the British are coming" since everyone was British LOL. He yelled the Regulars are coming. Also much of Boston is build on land fill so that anything that's flat is likely landfill. Charles Street, which starts to our right, is Beacon Hill but it runs between Boston Common and the Public Garden (as in "Make Way for Ducklings" if you remember that wonderful book) - well that used to be the course of the CHarles river! I can tell you more LOL. I really enjoyed the tour.
The "Freedom Trail" is marked with a line of red bricks - maybe we can follow that. Or whatever today.
We saw the new Spiderman movie last night and instead of Italian we went to Chinatown, right near the movie theater and had a pretty good meal.
Allison - will head for FB to see your photo. Interestingly I think we can insert photos here using the task bar at the top of this Quick Reply box. If I had photos on this new laptop, I'd try.
Betty - sorry you arrived so late last night and ended up eating so late as well.
Luv - how was your lobster last night? And where will you cruise to this year?
I'm going to find my online news (I do miss my newspaper on newsprint - call me old fashioned) and have coffee and some fruit. BBL

Good morning! DDer has gone home to water her plants and take care of the cats, she will be gone a couple hours. It's another lovely sunny day, with a little more wind than yesterday, which might not bode well for a boat trip later this afternoon, we'll see. Right now I'm planning to stay here tonight, do my cleaning etc. in the morning and head home, hopefully on the road by 10.
Caryn - I'm sure you knew I was joshin' with your yesterday? I love, love, love hearing about your adventures in Boston. Wonder what fun things you will find today.
Allison - I'll head over to facebook to see those cute things. I think our friend (who has a new drone) might have posted some pictures from our 'courtyard' area. Several of us gathered there last night for pizza. Our kale salad was awesome. The kale was from DDer's garden, but the rest we already had here in the camper (red onion, feta cheese, sunflower seeds, bacon) and some of our favorite, local, Italian dressing drizzled over it. There was about one serving left and I had that for breakfast with a hard boiled egg, it was still delicious.
Betty - do you camp next to a marina there where you can dock your boat? Glad you got moved, you will now be there for the season?
RV - thinking of you and hope the weather cleared up enough so the boys could get outside.
Other than the possible boat ride, not much on the schedule for today, looks like I can finish one book and maybe start another. Sweet! Waving *hi* to all.

Peg - I like that you bolded the names. I think we all should explore ways to use the capabilities of this site. We have exceeded our data for the month so as soon as we get it back I'll email or download photos from my cell phone (once I take some) and try and upload one here to test it.

The weather cooperated after noon. Some light rain but the boys got in the pool, the snow making machine ( it was Christmas in July), played mini golf, jumped on the big jump pad, played miniature golf. I think they had a good time. We are cleaning the tanks now and hope the slides go out as they gave us trouble going out after we got here.

RV - glad you were able to get outside with the twins. GL in packing up and heading home.
Caryn - yup, I agree, I like the bolded names. Thanks for the interesting info on Boston. We haven't been.
Peg - YUM on the salad. I need to make/take something to the sorority pool party Wednesday night. I am thinking the Vietnamese cabbage salad with mint, cilantro, carrots, red onions and a light lime/rice wine vinegar/fish sauce dressing.
Yoga was good as was Farmers Market. We are heading to my ILAWS for peach fritters (pancakes) and some card playing in a few minutes.
Allison
ok, somehow I bolded everything and not just the names...how did you get only the names bolded?

Allison I typed the name after hitting the little bold icon, then moved the cursor (hitting outside the 'b' things to indicate bold) and typed the message. I tried typing this in your message, but it didn't keep. Hope this helps.

To All Well we made it home safe and sound, no problems. I even got my e-mail straightened out all by myself. Might have to become a techie. Better get off the compute - have been on a long time.

Peg Cool idea on the use of bold, beautiful pic on FB of your campground area.
Luv That is just awful, so sad for the wife/mother.
Caryn We did the Freedom Trail when we visited Boston. It was very easy to follow and quite interesting. My DB's 5th grade history project was to build a replica of Paul Revere's house. So it was cool to see the actual house. My project was to be 'Betsy Ross' and to hand sew the 13 Stars & Stripes, plus 2 earlier versions. I did it with my DGM and I actually still have the flags. My kids used them for 'show and tell' in kindergarten, LOL.
Allison The sundress is so cute.
RV I'm still confused about your battery issues...did the explosion blow a hole in your RV? YIKES.
Cleaning up dask today. Will also make sure DS has all the stuff he needs to move north. He leaves 7/31. Mom sad!

Gina It did not blow a hole in the RV. It blew the side of the battery out but it stayed inside the door. No damage to rv. A little damage to HOme Depot Parking lot as battery acid was running out of the hole. Took pix of how all the connections we're but didn't think to take a pic of the side of the battery. To much on my mind I guess.

Will try to use it on the PC.
RV - good to hear that weekend ended well and that the kids had fun.

Now need to relax.
BTW Jethro finally got his walk yesterday. He was very happy!

Okay, to make it simpler, just hit "control B" which will indicate (tried entering the bracket with b end bracket) giving you the bold effect. Go beyond the next (bracket /b end bracket) to continue typing in regular type. It will all look correct and make sense once you hit "post reply".
Peg - You crack me up, as you have no idea how backwaters we are with our camper! There is a Marina nearby but our little back water boat would look like a toy in there (and has)! We just have a 14' flat bottom fishing boat. When we go for a boat cruise, we are usually in DFs boat which is a couple steps above ours! LOL
Caryn- Your tour sounded wonderful. Great tidbits of information!
RV - So glad you were finally able to do a proper camping with the twins, sounds like they had a great time! We will have DGD with us next weekend (we'll see how that goes).
J - Glad you got that list of chores finished and were able to watch the winning team! Yeah!
Well, as you can see, we're back at home, unloaded and basically done for the night. DGD arrives at 6:30 tomorrow morning so thinking I'd like to get to bed early tonight since I didn't sleep well last night. I also have a huge list of to-do's before we leave next Friday. I may try to do some of my "shopping" on-line. Will check a couple of things next, then make the coffee then off to bed! I can read for a bit - that should finish me off!
Oh, we didn't go to DMILs as we were told she wasn't having a good day - not taking her meds and putting clothing on incorrectly (I suspect she's had too many days of activity and her DF is staying there who stays up too late so she tries to hang in there for his sake but between her birthday outing Wed, us out on Thurs, Fri I suspect he wanted to eat out and there was another DGGD birthday this weekend I'm sure she attended. That's just too much for her so she's so tired, she doesn't take her meds as she sleeps through them which in turns finds her not drinking enough so becomes dehydrated and confused. Susan was going to check on her on her way back from activities in Monroe today. I suspect if she takes her fluids, meds, eats then sleeps, she'll be fine. She just can't skip them and the fluids!
Okay, off to the coffee and bed shortly.
Hi to all, see you next chapter!

Jeanne I know...we're going to SLO on the 23rd to the 26th. Rented a house, so we can spend some time as a family before DS starts his job. It will be hard (but good) to see him go. I've loved having him home.
Time to start a new chapter follow me to 827
