I am feeling overwhelmed by work but will work on getting back here more than just the first of the month. Had a solid weekend especially considering I was away.

I'm back too! I had a realization last week (which I already knew). It's not the choices I make on "easy" days; it's the choices I make on the "hard" days. (OOO, need to make a card) LOL. My work days are "easy" days. Very planned meals, pack healthy food, don't eat or drink anything not planned. Yesterday was a hard day. We had brunch and ran some errands. The weather was absolutely gorgeous; we took advantage of a pool day. I told myself I could have one drink (practicing moderation) which I did. Later we ran more errands and DH wanted ice cream. TBH I have not had ice cream all summer. So, 1 scoop at 430 in the convertible ride around the lake. About 6pm DH heated up leftovers. I wrestled in my head what to eat (because his food smelled SOOOO good). The realization was "I am not hungry. At all. I am letting outside cues influence me". Well, here I am. Didn't die of starvation overnight and the scale was not unhappy this morning... My food is packed and supper planned for the day. Thankful it's an easy day.

lani, I think your posting that you eat 1900 calories a day is important. You do not starve yourself to maintain your weight. This is an acceptable lifestyle if reasonable choices are made...

I have always had a pretty robust metabolism. I do have to pay attention to keep moving throughout the day. Plop me down in front of the TV or a book and I will veg forever. Somehow I missed posting yesterday. It is a bit busy here because I'm leaving for a weekend workshop today and will be back for a couple of days before leaving again to visit family. I don't know how regular I'll be posting-wise till I return from that second trip.
Some muscle in my right waist area starting acting up badly last night so I won't be exercising today. I just want it to settle down before my drive to the workshop this afternoon.

I got back from my workshop yesterday. We hiked on Sat am, climbed s a small hill. While the rest of it was sitting, we did move around a lot and I took time to make sure I did - like assisting with things.
Food was so-so. I had taken dinners with me for Friday and Sat and didn't include anything off-plan. Lunches and snacks were provided and that is where I did go off-plan a bit. Lunches were very healthy but big. I was craving something sweet after so I ate Nutrigrain bars and Bare dried fruit snacks.
Came home last night and was really tired and did not do well. I also did not drink enough water while I was there though I kept trying to. It was always that my water was where I wasn't! Lots of hands-on work so having a water glass/bottle in hand wasn't practical.
My hip pain is very related to sleeping position only. It goes away during the day. But unless I sleep flat on my back or stomach, it bothers me during the night. I got up and paced quite a bit on Friday night to ease it till I figured it out. Unfortunately I don't sleep well on my back and my back hurts if I sleep flat on my stomach. Not sure what is going on. A heating pad helped last night so I am packing it for the next trip.

ermabom, I'm a side sleeper. After my first experience with sciatica I sleep with a pillow between my knees. Seems to help. I also have to watch my posture while sitting. Guests for dinner, alcohol and who knows what. We're starting off with a mushroom/truffle 10" pizza. I made some pesto potato salad that is from a Clean Eating recipe. DH has his apple pie and ice cream at the ready. Chilling champagne and the kids are bringing some wine that the girl's dad picked out. The couple are young and easy to please. So I guessed a couple thousand cals for dinner. Hope I'm wildly over-estimating.

lani, I’ve tried a pillow between my knees but my shoulders can’t take slde sleeping any more. I sleep 3/4 face down with a pillow for support or 3/4 face up with a pillow between my knees. I can sleep on my stomach but my back doesn’t like it. I think I am going to have to get used to sleeping on my back - which has always been my least favorite position to sleep in.

Hip is better this am. I got myself good and tired and slept on my back. My back is a bit stiff from not moving too much during the night but that will wear off.
Not a great day yesterday. I should pay attention to Beck when I'm busy but I'm not doing it. I will try to do better today.

You should have seen Mr. Lani trying to find someone to give the apple pie and ice cream to. He did find someone; he only ate two pieces of the pie before he got rid of it (and ice cream). I ate a random apple slice. So there was no problem sticking to a regular meal plan after all.
