Good morning. Saturday
It's a beautiful day here. The temps are in the 50s this morning. The sky is a brilliant blue. No wind. Just gorgeous. BUT DRY! DH and I just came back from a nice slow 2 mile walk.
Barb-I know the dangers of getting stuck with too much inventory and not be able to sell it. It's better to have a small inventory and get more as you need to than to have a huge inventory and can't sell it. YAY to the sales you have made!
Faye-have fun at the reunion.

Hi Horse Lovers, WI went well yesterday, lost 2.2 lbs. going in the right direction again but still up a little from my recent lowest. Rode Lukas later in the day and practiced what we need to work on then took him out around the farm, again a little further then before he is doing really well with it. My DD that rides is coming out to the barn tomorrow to ride Lukas for the first time. I found out he really does not like his mane pulled. I switched to a solo comb which makes it looked pulled but it is actually cut. He does not have a super thick mane so it should work well.
to answer some questions: I am currently jumping 2'6" with oxers and yes, they trained him differently in Europe so he is a different ride. They don't go from a trot to a canter so he doesn't do that. If I am trotting I have to transition to a walk and then pick up the canter. If I try to pick up the canter from a trot he just trots really fast. He is not being bad, he thinks that is what I want. They also do not trot jumps or use ground poles a lot so he thinks that is a strange request but he will do it. I take a lesson once a week I learn things and they are just fun because she challenges me.
Faye- have fun at your reunion and I hope your show goes well on Sunday too.
Cathy- Skipe for harp lessons sounds interesting. Do you think you will give it a try?
Barb- Congrats on having your art chosen! I have jumped 3' but not often at all. I like 2'6" it is high enough to be fun but a little safer.
Beth- glad the debit card problem has been worked out.
Going to go do some outside fall clean up

Amy- that is very interesting about the training -who knew? my guess is that he will learn the "right" way quickly! But it sounds like you are taking slow & correctly - have fun -Back when I was showing h/j I did usually 2'6", sometimes 3' - but like you didn't really like it (or any jumping -which is why i switched to dressage!) Also congrats on WL!
the sun actually came out when I got to the barn -so i did do a short, quick ride! gotta love NH weather!
DH is on a window cleaning spree so I am staying out of his way! TTFN

Barb-do you still want to sell some more glass? Glad you got to ride AMY-congrats on the WL. I did weekly lesson; really enjoyed them. having Lukas teach you the European way BETH-glad you have nice weather. Lovely here too so had a fantastic time. Didn't even make it through the lobby and heard my name (I actually was told by many I looked the same and they would call my name without seeing the name tag so that was nice.). the resort was lovely, and talked non-stop (really, DH had to get me water twice, I was losing my voice ). it was fabulous. Neil DeGrasse Tyson showed up (Cosmos series, Hayden Planetarium etc) and we were friends back then so nice to see him. Nice guy. DH had a good time too. then breakfast we took about 2 long tables and chatted till we had to check out. Just a wonderful time and I almost didn't go. so very happy I did. Waiting now for my ensemble duet partner so we can practice for next week's show. waving to all HAGD
