Good Morning Stitchers!
Not much to report today, I did get some stitching in this morning before work. The biscornu is looking good, I love the colors that I am using. I did steal the color idea from someone who stitched this biscornu and she shared the colors that she used. I am stitching it a bit different than how she stitched it, she used white fabric and I am using fabric by Fabric Flair that is called Waxing Moon. It's kind of a lighter green and the colors really pop on it.
Have a good day everyone and I hope that you can find some time to stitch.

Hi Stitchers!
We were just in a tornado warning, a couple tornadoes touched down and one of them was pretty close to our house. I am at work right now but our DS#2 was going home when he saw it. DH called him to make sure that he was OK so I don't sit here and worry about him.
I stitched for a bit this morning on the biscornu before DH went to his PT. I also stitched at his PT while I was waiting for him and was able to get the last of the big stitching done. Now all I have to stitch is the snowflakes and some stitching high lights (Christmas lights one the house, fringe on Santa's hat as well as on the Elfs cap. The snow flakes might be difficult to count to the right placement and stitch while I am at PT, I might just work on it at home and try to get it finished. I should check my UFOs to see if I have anything else that I can take with me to PT, I like having something to work on while I wait, it's better than playing on my phone!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi Cross Stitchers!
Well, DH got an A+ from his surgeon this morning and doesn't have to go back to see him until the first part of September! He was also told that he can stop wearing his TED hose so as soon as we got in the car he had me drive him home to he could removed them. I'm a bit surprised that he didn't throw both pair in the garbage.
While I was waiting for him in the surgeon's office I was stitching and had a lady come over to ask me questions about what I was working on. I enjoy sharing my hobby with people that have questions about it. DH also had a PT appointment this morning so I got some stitching time in then as well and I also had someone ask me about my stitching.
I am almost finished stitching the top of the biscornu, just have some straight stitches to put in and I need for find the beads that I plan on using instead of doing French knots. I still have to decide how I will stitch the bottom half but I do think that I have an idea of what I will do, it won't be as much stitching as the top which is fine with me.
Have a good start to the week everyone and I hope that you can find sometime to stitch this week.

Good Morning Stitchers! I started stitching all of the snow flakes on the Little Stitch Girl's Fa-la-la-la Lane project that I have been working on. I was going to count the snowflakes that need to be stitched but I am afraid that will scare me off and I will put it away and then it will never get finished. Have a good day stitching everyone!

Hi Stitchers!
Boy, am I late posting today. DH has one more PT appointment and then he graduates!! He has done so much hard work to get him where he is today and I am so proud of him. The surgeon did tell him that his recovery will take at least a year and possibly as much as 18 months so he has more work to do.
I did get some snowflakes stitched this morning while I was waiting for DH. They take a long time to stitch since I have to count, count and count again to make sure that I have them in the right place. There was a lady waiting for her PT that told me that I should just buy some snowflake buttons and put them on instead of stitching them on but I would rather stitch them. Anyone else ever substitute buttons instead of stitching what the pattern calls for?
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Still working on the snowflakes! I do hope to get this project finished soon so that I can start something new. Tomorrow is DH's last day of PT so I can get some stitching time in then.
I am going to the big city tomorrow and Saturday and was hoping to stop at the local cross stitch shop but saw that they will be closed for a few days. This is the store that I used to purchase some patterns at the Nashville Market earlier this year. I asked her to hold my purchase because I want to see if she has any fabric that would go nicely with a couple of the patterns. I was hoping that I would get to the big city before now but may just wait until I attend the biscornu class that I am taking there in June.
Have a good stitching day everyone!

Hi Fellow Stitchers,
I hope that everyone had a good weekend. I was busy doing things with my sister and brother on Saturday so didn't get any stitching done. Sunday was also a busy day, we went to church and then out for brunch with a group from our parish. After brunch we went back to the church to count collection. It didn't take as long as it usually does, the couple that counted with us are the ones who training us on how they like to count the collection and they have been doing it for years.
No stitching for me on Sunday either and this morning I had a couple appointments so had to leave home early. I took my stitching with me just in case I had time that I could stitch but that didn't happen. I really hope that I can get some stitching done either right after I get home from work or before I go to bed tonight.
Have a good start to a new week everyone!

Good Morning Stitchers!
Happy Wednesday everyone!
No stitching for me yesterday. I had an eye appointment early morning yesterday and they dilated my eyes so no stitching for me. Also, no driving, since it was sunny and even with sun glasses it was to bright, no reading and no working on the computer. I did, however, get my kitchen cleaned and a bunch of clothes washed, dried and put away! Yeah Me!!
This morning my eye sight was back to normal and I was able to start the second part of the biscornu that I need finished by the middle of June. I made good progress and hope to find sometime to stitch tonight after supper. I won't have time after work as I have a Bible study class and then will go to Mass. I do need to stop at the grocery store before I head for home but only have a few things on the list to pick up.
Hope that everyone has a good Wednesday and you can find sometime to get some stitching done.

Good Morning Stitchers!
Happy Thursday everyone!
No stitching last night, by the time church was over and I went to the grocery store to pick up some items it was late when I got home. I'm glad that I picked up some hamburger so when I got home I could start making meatballs with rice or as we call it, porcupine meatballs. DH had already been to his garden and brought up some fresh asparagus so I made that along with mashed potatoes. No leftovers for my lunch today, darn it!!
I did get some stitching done this morning, still working on the biscornu. Did anyone notice that I changed my profile picture?? This is a pattern that I stitched in 2021 and pulled out of my finished projects bag and had it framed. I love the mat color that they suggested, it matches the birds on the tree branch. The frame's color also matches the branches. I plan on putting this in our guest bathroom. I also stitched a hand towel to match this pattern. I don't remember the name of the pattern but it is a Stoney Creek Design. I hope that everyone likes it. Have a good day everyone and hope that everyone can find some stitching time today (including me!!).

Good Morning Stitchers!
I was able to get the middle part of the second part of the biscornu done! Now to decide if I just want to stitch the outer edge with roses in each corner or stitch the entire pattern.
I did reach out to the shop owner of the shop that is having the class in June. I purchases some patterns from her to pick up at the Nashville Market earlier this year. I told her that I hadn't forgotten about the purchase but that I haven't been in her area to pick up my things. I was in her town last weekend but she was on a retreat and her shop was closed. She did write me back that it was fine, that my purchase would be there when I come in June for the class, I have already paid her for everything so I thought it would be OK.
Not sure how much I will get stitched this weekend. I hope to have lunch with a dear friend tomorrow and then we are invited to play cards with some other friends in the evening. Maybe I can stitch some in the morning before I head to lunch.
Have a good weekend everyone and I hope that you can find some time to stitch!

Good Monday Morning Stitchers!
I didn't get as much stitching done this weekend as I had wanted to but did get some done, some is better than none right? I am still working on the biscornu and have set a goal to have it stitched by next Monday. I will still need to stitch the small beads onto it and since I haven't done very many beads before I know that this will take me some time to get done.
I did order some patterns from a couple designers that my regular on-line shop won't be carrying the designers any longer. The patterns were at a close out price and I just could resist! The patterns should be coming in sometime this week and I don't remember if I was having them shipped to my work address or my home address.
Have a good start of a new week and keep stitching! I'm off to check my e-mail to track my order!!

Good Morning Stitchers!
I finally stitched some last night, I don't remember when the last time that I stitched in the evening was, it felt good to get some stitches in.
My patterns were in my mail box when I got home from work yesterday. I looked at the covers but didn't open them up, I was afraid that if I opened them I would have to kit them up and then I wouldn't get my biscornu finished. LOL
My stitching plan for tonight is to get the last boarder side stitched and maybe stitch some of the leaves and vines on one side.
Hope that everyone has a good day and that you can find some stitching time!

Good Morning Stitchers! Well, all of the stitching that I did yesterday morning and this morning had to be taken out, I was one stitch too many on the bottom boarder which made the rose 1 stitch over and it didn't match up with the rose on the top. I know that I did count and recount but must have miscounted, oh well, at least taking out stitches doesn't take very long and I do have plenty of floss so will not be using the floss that I removed. I do hope to get the last rose re-stitched tonight and then finish the last boarder tomorrow morning. There are some fancy stitches in each of the 4 corners that I need to read up on to make sure that I stitch them correctly. I'm glad that I didn't stitch last night, I was just too tied to even think about it and went to bed at 10. I'm going to try a new recipe tonight so I need to stop at the grocery store after my Bible study group. I even made up a grocery list so that I don't forget anything that I need, something that I rarely so, just don't want to start the new recipe and then have to improvise because I forgot something. How often to you try new recipes? A couple of years ago I tried a new recipe a week, something that my husband hated but he never tells me what he is hungry for so he gets what he gets. Have a good hump day everyone!
