Good morning. Gotta finish grocery shopping today. The storms are past us now but we're expecting another system to come through Sunday. The rain we've had has helped to put out the wildfires but we're still in a water deficit of over 15 inches.

Hi, all! Faye, let's see...Cabinets: I'm waiting on some scraping tools ordered so that I can get rid of the last bit of paint, then will try restaining. Goggles: don't get me started, even the anti-fogger isn't working. Harp teacher: yeah, I'm kind of surprised as well; the only other person she suggested was more of an arainger, and I need more than that. I go tonight to her temporary home  Beth, wow you are having some crazy weather...glad you are staying safe! How is your knee? So you're doing TWO days of groceries? You HATE grocery shopping Barb, I would just put up the weather strips...to heck with Dee Is your DH in a league? Libby, I hope things are going well...at least - better! Yesterday was a bust...worked all afternoon, which doesn't happen very often. Spent much of it waiting for people to get all their documentation in order. I was all dressed and ready to head out the door, too...finally got a few minutes to go get mail but that was it. Will have to go to Costco today...bleh. This is why you have to track food intake instead of exercise; there's ALWAYS time to eat, not always time to exercise  Maybe that's my new mantra... Cathy |

LIBBY-how exciting. good luck with everything. How long do they estimate it will take (and I guess you double that then ??) CATHY-have a good lesson. sorry about the goggles. I assume you dip them in the pool water first to get them to temperature? I never did like goggles, actually not that found of swimming so I guess for me it works out. good luck. Still hope you can get your glasses straightened out. BARB-would Dee be offended if you put the strips up? BETH-hope you got all the shopping done. I enjoyed Kabbalah class today. hope you are enjoying Bible class. Our class was smaller-the snow birds have flown the coop to Florida busy with laundry and will practice ye olde harp. Shopping done. Except for waxed paper lol. I was putting up some meat and I use waxed paper to put between meat sections before I finish wrapping for the freezer and used it all up except for about a 6" section left on the roll. I thought I had more.
Cathy-yeah I hate shopping. Yesterday I shopped for the non-perishable items after Bible study. This morning I shopped for the perishable items early so I didn't have to worry about any heat in the car. As to my knee, it's doing much better. I still have to watch what I do and not over work it.
Libby-are you getting a new sink and appliances along with the cabinets? Yeah double the time they tell you. When they did mine they told me "oh about two weeks". HA! It was a month!
Barb-show this weekend? My vendor friend from Atlanta is getting me up an order for her. It will include caps, towels and umbrellas.
Faye-next Wednesday will be the last lesson in 2016. This will be considered our winter/Christmas break. We'll have half of Isaiah done next week. We'll pick up the 2nd half next year when we go back 1-11-17. We mostly follow the school year.

taking a breather! now I know why people say they get close to divorce when remodeling, etc! DH is driving me bonkers! I have a plan in my head and tried to share it with him. He's like ok. Now he is watching me doing it and giving me all sorts of unsolicited advice - I just asked him to go to the store and buy more tape and bubble wrap! I need to take a deep breath- if it was later in the day I'd say a glass of wine lol, it's not noon here yet! Thanks for listening to my rant!!!

Hi- Beth- yes - show this weekend -next 2 as well! then I can relax! And to those who asked - yes, I think Dee would be put out if I put her strips up = besides - DH helped me (it is really a 2 person job) and i know he won't help there! So at least I get to rant to you guys! I rode this morning - the trail had more puddles than I have seen in years -our trail is an old rail bed so it is very up & down - small "hills" for lack of a better term & every down part had puddles all the way out - usually after a rain there are 2 -3 - but this was crazy - and of course the "princess" doesn't like getting her hoofs wet! Also with all the leaves on the trail being wet -we mostly walked. but we got out -
Upreach tomorrow morning -then farrier at noon-

Good morning. Today is bill paying and laundry. So exciting. It got down to 31* last night. Getting cold for the south.
Barb-how expensive is it to put borium on the shoes? I never did as it doesn't get too icy here.

Hi everyone, Beth hope you and dh are feeling a lot better! I love my pre-cut wax paper, have to buy it at the cash and carry (restaurant supply store) Faye; how is the tooth? Barb; trust your show will go fantastic! Cathy; sorry about the instructor. Hope you didn't get run over at Costco  dutchwife; hope things are going better for you! Amy; how are you doing? Have to make a couple site visits for work today, won't take long. Then it's back to packing the kitchen. I got the area where they will start cleaned out. All the boxes are in my lvrm. I'm throwing out a lot of stuff and giving things I've hung on to to goodwill. Lucy was such a brat yesterday, kept kicking the stall! I took her out early evening and free lunged her and bought some more Mare Magic, she hasn't had it in a month or so. Heidi helped me set up a large kind of round pen early afternoon. We had to move the rails for the arena as the demo dump truck will be parked there. HAGD everyone! |

Hi, all! Faye, have fun harping! I have another 2 lessons in Dec, then she comes back in Jan for a couple of weeks. She's trying to get me to join the local talent concert in Jan; I guess they practice for a few weeks then perform. My old teacher tried to get me to do it and it was a big 'no', but I do feel more confident, so we'll see! Libby, I am SO excited for you and your new kitchen! I used the "dining room" as the kitchen, relied on a microwave, the frig and the dining table. That was it...no stove or oven. You will need to post photos on FB so we can see the havoc Beth, you have a busy week this week...shopping (x2), bills, laundry! Glad the knee is doing OK. Barb, sorry about the puddles...I think it's funny that Penny doesn't want to get her feet wet. I knew horses who would walk into water and promptly splash and play...and hope no one wanted to roll!! Hope Upreach went well. OK, so with Dee we tried I did get to Costco...and as always, buy more than I intended. No Xmas gifts but a couple of ideas, which is always good. Cool and breezy today, so of course will swim. Cat is paging me...must go! Cathy |

LIBBY-tooth is pretty much back to normal, thanks. guess it was the TMJ. didn't even take all the muscle relaxers because it was feeling better. Figured I'd save 1 or 2 just in case it bothers me again. Regular dentist check up later this month and he go the report. CATHY-very exciting about the talent show. what would you play. could be fun!!! it's a harp--they'll love it been one of those day. Printer jammed, spent about 20 min fighting with it, couldn't get the back off but I finally won out! starting to look gloomy again. Food store didn't have most of the things I wanted, looked like empty shelves. oh well. yoga later. hope that goes well. waving to all. HAGD |

HI yes, Penny got her winter shoes - silver in color! Since i was able to re-use last year's it was only (!) $65 for a trim & reset - new ones (just fronts) run about $90 which is really very reasonable for here -I know some farriers that charge $150+ for 2! Faye- hope the yoga calms you - computer issues really stink! I had a quick message from Judy today - she had an accident -didn't say if horse related or not - and broke her fibia -had surgery on Wed - I left her a voice mail message so hope to hear more & will pass it on. Cathy - yes, I usually over shop at Costco etc -stuff I "can't live without!" You should give the show a try -go for it girl! Libby - mares -gotta love them - hope putting Lucy back on MM helps! (and lunging!)
Car is packed - DH & I go set up at 7pm tonight - show tomorrow is 9-3 -it's about 20 mins from my house -will most likely be there by 7:30 tomorrow morning - tonight we only set up tables, put the cloths on & shelves - glass goes out tomorrow!
Waving to all - Amy & Dutch - haven't heard from you in a bit - hope all is ok - ride if you can - HAGD - most likely won't be back until Sunday!

Hi all I'm trying to at least keep up on reading. Work although has lightened up a bit, is still pretty busy. At least i'm down to 45hr weeks. Plus, i'm having marital issues.. long story, but it sucks my energy for daily posts some times. Bought 2 more stall matts for Ally... put them at her outside stall door - try to keep some mud down... see how that works. Farrier was out on Tuesday. Was really impressed w/ her personality. Siders working on the house, neighbor dog barking a lot... and she didn't care much. Realize, the farrier is doing his work on my back lawn as I really do not have a horse facility! He was super complimentary. Of course i glowed like a proud mama... I've done really nothing for her to be this way- this is truly just who she is. You folks are pretty cool. I'm glad I started posting here. I love the variety I see in your lives! |

Good morning Saturday BETH-hope all your shopping is done including wax paper. do you cook for the week and freeze things? DUTCH-glad you are part of the board whether just reading or joining in to say hi. This is a very friendly, helpful, supportive board. Glad Ally did well with the farrier. hope things start to look up for you. BARB-so sorry about Judy. seems a long time to wait for surgery for the broken tibia, seems like several days. wonder why they have to wait. Is she still working in schools or just her private practice? I hope she's ok. Send my best. Good luck setting up and with the show. Silver shoes sound lovely for Penny, goes will all colors of blankets yoga did relax me. we worked hard and did a lot. I love my yoga. CATHY-hope you enjoyed your lesson. Glad you can still have a few. LIBBY-good luck packing up. hope the puddles are drying up. Sorry Lucy was in a mood. hope she's more mellow. Going to see Arrival tomorrow (the movie with amy Adams). I saw contact (movie with JOdi foster,) years ago and seems a similar plot so curious. had a facial that was nice. just doing stuff in the house today. |

Good afternoon. I've been addressing Christmas cards this morning. I'm trying to get them out early this year instead of waiting until the last minute like I did last year.
Barb-hope you have good sales today.
Faye-I've never had a facial other than what I have done to myself.
Dutch-your life sounds very hectic right now.
Libby-I remember washing dishes in the bathtub and using a microwave or the outside grill to cook. Mostly microwave.
Cathy-glad you are getting a couple of more lessons in.

LIBBY-just saw where you asked if I clench my teeth? mostly when I sleep. I have retainers and they had to give me extra thick plastic because I bit through it so yeah, guess I clench when I sleep. I also try to pay attention to it during the day, the yoga helps. but sleeping is probably when it does the damage.
funny, i finally got diagnosed many years ago because I thought I had an ear infection my ear hurt so badly. it was the TMJ.

Judy posted on FB. she fell dismounting Tuesday night and broke her tibia in several places. she has hardware outside her leg until surgery on Friday. I'm speechless but wanted to let those not on FB who know her to know since Barb mentioned it.

Good morning Sunday.
Getting ready for church. Today is the Christmas choir presentation. Our church choir has a lot of the university students in it and they go on Christmas vacation next week so we have to have the program this week for them to participate. It's been slowly raining (the good kind) here off and on since yesterday and will rain through tomorrow is what the weather people are predicting. Then it will get cold toward the end of the week.
