For those of us who are not in FB group.
Yesterday's fast was so tough I barely managed to stick with it to the end. Did not drink enough on Shabbos so felt dehydrated, with pounding headache all day long. Need to be better prepared for the next fast - water, water, water! and watermelon.

Yana!!!!! So wonderful to see you!
Sorry you had such a tough time. May we not need the next fast.
I spent most of the day in bed with a head cold. The only plus of the fast was I was too dehydrated for the Niagara Falls nose. Then Was a good girl and skipped the cake, breaking my fast instead on coffee and an egg white omelette. Good behavior did not last....was up till the wee hours of the night and binged on cauliflower.
I usually listen to Classical music when working. It's sooooo quiet in the house with no music. Will have to dig up some A Capella.

This afternoon, HRH is coming home for the 3 day break between Summer Camp sessions. She said she is looking forward to healthy menus after 5 weeks of delicious but oh so fattening camp food

attention Costco Shoppers: Kashrus Magazine July 2016 - Kosher Without Symbol The Orthodox Union certifies Kirkland Select Farmed Atlantic Salmon with 4% Salt and Water Solution (Raw and Frozen, a.k.a "Costco Salmon"), made in Norway. Some of this product is being sold in packaging that does not have the OU symbol. This products is manufactured under the supervision of the Orthodox Union and is kosher for year-round and Passover use. Corrective actions have been implemented.
I was frustrated Pesac zman when Costco switched the label and the OU disappeared. Am thrilled with this update as this is one of my freezer must-haves, especially in summer when my fish monger has shortened business hours.

Just got back from women’s ‘Art and Learn’ hakhel event at the jcc. We were given a canvas and acrylic paint and even most artistically challenged (myself included) ended up with interesting creations. Mine was a colorful mess! They will be exhibiting our artwork for a while, and then we get to take them home.

Stuck at work until 7 pm with nothing to eat except smoothie (black currant and banana - it was so sour!). Wasn't even hungry because of all the work-related stress. Tomorrow is WI - hope to lose 2 lbs that I found last week.

Im having a hard time following the thread here because it's not showing up as a new thread, but a continuation of the initial thread started earlier this week. Anyone else? Or just me and my lack of computer skills, which it totally could be. Shabbat Shalom!

Or just me and my lack of computer skills, which it totally could be. Shabbat Shalom! Hi brgsmn, an easy way to follow a thread no matter where it is is to bookmark it through the site. So there should be a box near the top of the thread that says Actions, then you click on it and choose Bookmark. From then on you will get a notification when someone posts there and you can always see it by choosing Bookmarks from the top blue menu bar. Shavua tov and hope that helps!

Gut Voch! Shavua Tov! becca -- Thanks so much for your diligent monitoring of threads and providing guidance to help all of us in this transition from the old board format. brgmsn -- Welcome! I always found the daily threads hard to follow when conversation refer to previous days' thread. The majority of my dear KCers moved to Facebook (which I avoid). Tips I have learned: When listing threads, those with new posts since your last read of the thread are marked 'New' -- click on the 'New' to take you to the most recent post If you post in-line comments, the thread is not updated as 'new'. I'm starting to use the Quotes button then adding my comments to that as a new post.

Gut Voch! Hurting all over after the yoga class (we used bands today). Went to the farmers market and to the art festival with mom, then drove to the assistant living facility that agreed to accept my uncle (he is being kicked out of his current one - too hard for one staff person to care for him). Nice place but really far - close to an hour drive (but about half an hour from my work so I might be able to take extended lunch once a week and make up the hours). Then Costco, Traders's Joe, kosher store and regular grocery store. Did relatively well over Shabbos, and today had light breakfast before yoga and nothing else until got back home around 5 pm - and I was starving! Had leftover salads and couple of spinach cakes with flatbread and hummus.

Good morning! Yesterday was such a busy productive day for you. Hatzolocha on the new facility for your uncle...if not extended lunch, then could you swing evening visits?
Have a FABULOUS day!

Good morning Rozy! Evening visits would involve joining rush hour traffic from downtown Mpls - not so thrilling. But this is minor inconvenience - the main thing is to get him in the facility that is capable of adequately caring for him. Hope to finalize everything this week!
Is HRH back in camp now?

In transit to customer...forgot how craamp subways are during rush hour Rozy, I had to google to see if that was a joke. They really call it Camp Tubby? I'd hate to be an overweight girl. "What did you do last summer?" "I went to Camp Tubby." In any case, hope HRH is enjoying it. And if you're stuck on the subway, at least its not very hot today.

Is Morristown NJ considered Catskills? Forgive my ignorance. DS is there for the summer.

Is Morristown NJ considered Catskills? Yana -- Morristown is in New Jersey about 1hr drive west of NYC. The Catskills is about 2 hr drive north of NYC. Back in its heyday, the Catskills were known as the Borscht Belt, where Grossigers, Kutshers and other resorts provided summer vacationing and scores of comedians honed their skills.

Good morning. I remember hearing about the Catskills. My parents went to Grossingers for a conference of Mens Club from our former synagogue one summer. Not to mention "Dirty Dancing"!!!!!

My DH grew up spending summers in the Catskills. And back in the day, my mom (a"h) used to go to singles events there. More recently (although still ancient history by now), before the Concorde closed, I once went for New Year's Eve; that's where DH proposed to me.
Interesting stuff to read up on ... they used to hire high school basketball players to work in the hotel, and play on their teams, so guests saw the likes of Wilt Chamberlain as a kid.
