Good Morning - Faye - thanks for the start up! took tundra to the groomers this morning -kicking & screaming -ok -maybe not that bad -but not a happy camper to be going! Then the Y -now waiting for them to call that she is done so I can pick her up then head to barn -not sure if we will ride -have to see how the footing is.
Amy -hope you had a good ride yesterday & Libby sounds like you will be riding now as well -
Beth- how's the coughing? other than that are you feeling ok?
Dutch -when do you leave?
Cathy -still safe & dry -from what we see back here it's horrendous out there -
So -HAGD - CBL

Faye: thank you for starting the board! I just realized I don't know how to do it! Amy: glad you had a good relaxed ride and lesson! That wind can really mess with the horses senses! Barb; bowling sounds like fun! Hope you get to ride out on the trail Cathy; I'm not sure if Katy will lease Rosie or not, I'm kind of thinking about it - I could get 200$ a month from her parents for 2-3 rides a week which would pay for her shoes and grain. I don't have my truck, so need to wait for Heidi's boyfriend to trailer the horses to do the switch. Beth; trust your getting better each day! Dutch; are you forecasted to get more snow? We are on Thursday! HAGD everyone!

Hi, all! Faye, I hear you about "repairmen". I had someone come out and look at the dishwasher and the oven and said, for $75, that I should just buy new ones. I mean, I was in the wrong business...you could make boo-coo bucks coming out to peoples houses and just say "buy new, that's $75"! Amy, glad you had a couple of good lessons and enjoyed the walk around the property. The more trail riding you do, the better they get...usually Libby, OK, I get it about Katy. Wasn't sure if it was a done deal. I guess if you have liability paperwork etc, it should be OK. I loved leasing, but then I was the only rider, 4x/week. Barb, is Tundra like horses? You get them all clean and then they find the nearest mudhole to roll in? Hope you get to ride! Yeah, it's raining...rained all last night, probably all day today. I am done with it, especially the flood alerts that sounds off at 3:30 in the morning There is some local flooding but nothing affecting us here. Harp lesson today...whoo-hoo! Oh, and did I mention there might be another concert in early June? Not sure what tunes yet as practice doesn't start until May Cathy

Good afternoon. DH was using the laptop earlier. Now I have it back. It's lovely weather here today mid 70's. We still have our coughs. Seems to be hanging on and lingering. Not much we can do about it but what we're already doing. We did manage to go to church yesterday without much coughing. DH didn't sing in the choir and kept the cough drops in his mouth almost continuously.
Libby-If you lease to katy will you be able to ride your horse also?
Barb-What care does Tundra get at the groomers besides a bath?
Cathy-another show sounds like fun. Sorry about all the rain and floods.
Faye-I hope the washer repair isn't too expensive.
Dutch-hope you and DS get better for your trip. Has DH gotten sick or is he one of those people who don't get sick?
Amy-glad you are progressing with your lessons. Riding different horses can teach you a lot.

hi - we didn't ride -was very windy & snow was kind of icy-ish! not willing to risk it - I did take her to the round pen again -will try to at least do that or hand walk her a mile or so to start getting her into shape -she will be 21 in April so I don't want her to get too out of shape -since they are out all the time there is some residual conditioning but not like when we are riding regularly

Hi all Yup... some snow predicted for Wed/Thurs and Maybe Sunday.... I'm not too worried yet. But this raid is sure... wet! :0
Someone asked when I leave... Mid-march... so I have a few weeks to get better still... just running out of shopping time! lol
DH already had bronchitis 2 weeks ago... I can thank him for sharing. Apparently DS is of an age they don't get that, so he's lucky there, but still has a heck of a cold with a yucky cough. We'll mend soon enough though!
HAGD all!

Hi all, Started to feel sick last night. Woke up at about 3 am with what might have been a low grade fever. (or hot flash, who knows?). Feeling pretty OK this morning. Shower steam opened up my head so I am breathing well. Did not ride after work last night even though the weather was so nice. I just felt so blah.
Hope you all are doing well, I am still tying to comment under your posts to keep mine shorter. I haven't had a freeze up lately so I might switch back.

Good morning, tuesday CATHY-how'd the harp lesson go? BETH-washer is under warranty so hopefully won't cost anything. at least when he walks in the door it should be free LOL BARB-sorry about the wind. hope today is a better riding day. DUTCH-sorry about the coughs. hope you and DS feel better soon. LIBBY-Rhoku is an interesting name. does it mean anything? hope the switch goes well. enjoy DGD. as far as starting the board, I cut the intro and go back to HOBBIES and on the right there's the tab to "create thread". but I'm up early so no issues (and Barb or Beth are early risers too ) AMY-hope you are feeling better and can ride today. waiting for washer repair bet 11-2. if all goes well that does give me the rest of the day to clear out the laundries. if not will have to go again to neighbor. Good morning. Light rain here. Temps in the 60s. DH's cough was less last night so we both got some sleep.
Faye-hope it's just something minor with the washer.
Amy-sorry you didn't feel well last night. Hope you don't come down with anything bad.
Libby-have fun with the horses today.
Dutch-you leave in what... 3 weeks? I bet Ally is really growing. Will you try to break her this year or will you wait until she's 3?
Cathy-how did the lesson go?
Barb-I can't believe Penny is going to be 21. It seems like you just bought her.

Amy - hope it was nothing too bad -(a hot flash -could be a good thing i guess!)
Libby - good luck w/ the switch -do they both trailer well? How far is it (I know you must have told us ...but CRS...! )
Faye- how old is the washer? Hope they can fix it -knock wood -we have had very good luck w/ Sears/Kenmore washer & dryers.
Beth & Dutch- glad you guys are on the mend -
Cathy - are you painting anything these days? (water scenes? LOL)
getting organized for a small event this saturday -it's an "art & Music coffee house" only 9 artists -I did it last year -only cost me $15 to do it -so pretty much I make money! hehe

Hi, all! Faye, the lesson went well, kind of funky. We spent the first few minutes arranging my harp to suit her (I had it backwards I guess). Seemed OK and she wants to continue as long as I do. She'll be coming back for the summer (June, for the concert) and then will stay through to August before going back to NOLA so will have in-person lessons this summer...yay! Good luck with the repairman! Beth, yay that you both got sleep last night. Continuous cough drop mouth is yucky but it works! Barb, glad you got your water aerobics in. Sorry the weather is too yucky for riding 21! And you've had her 4 years!!?! Time is speeding by! Amy, hope you're feeling OK today...my hot flashes kind of went away, now they're back again. Not sure what that means? Dutch, yeah, on-line shopping. Sometimes the only way to go. Glad kids don't get bronchitis...hope all get well soon!! Libby, good luck with the horse switch. Do you think Rosie will be OK at the new place? I guess time will tell. Have fun with DGD! Wowie...some storm last night...heavy rain and wind. Brother kept texting me to see if I was OK. Told him to expect more rain and wind as it was on it's way (we tend to get it first as we're near the coast; it then travels inland)! All nice and quiet this morning, sun tried to come out but was quickly surrounded by more clouds Will try swimming today, but will take rash guard in case the water is cooler than I like. Cathy

And there you go That reminds me of when DH was having trouble with his lawn mower. He couldn't get it started, changed the spark plug etc. He called a good friend who came over and asked DH if he had run out of gas. Sure enough-no gas. Just went clothes shopping! Love me a clearance sale! Shirts for $4.49!! whoot! Got DS a small backpack too - see if he likes it! That's a great price for shirts. Where did you get them? I'm going to do all the ground work to break her this year. She is 3 now. See how it goes- maybe Sept/Oct I'll swing a leg over her... gulp! I"m not 20yrs old any more!! No more bouncing off the ground for me! (what WAS I thinking?) Where does the time fly? That's a great price for shirts. Where did you get them? Fred Meyer (Kroger) clearance... 70% off lowest price. Better than a 2nd handstore at that price!

Home from work and tired but not feeling sick like last night so hopefully that was it. Practice ride on Lukas tomorrow, can't wait. I also might take the time to braid his mane over and start training it to the right. It falls beautifully to the left side and it should be on the right for hunters. Lukas does not mind being groomed but doesn't like his mane handled too much so I may have to do it in stages, we shall see. He is starting to shed too. I saw a cartoon on FB the other day that said "horse hair is my favorite color, I wear it with everything" LOL.

good morning - the window installers showed up at 7:30 so we are beginning -my biggest "fear" is the snowball effect.....what will we have to replace next? I have to run up to my glass place as I was in the middle of a project & realized I was missing 2 important parts -there is no Upreach for 2 weeks (they always take a 2 week break between sessions for the horses to have a rest) so I just have to zip up there this morning -then planning on a walk on the trails assuming footing is ok -will let you know
Faye -funny about washer -hope it holds.
Amy just any time you spend w/Lukas on or off his back is good for both of you. I always hated pulling manes.
Dutch -who will take care of Allie (and any other 4 leggeds) while you are gone?
Waving to Beth, Cathy & Libby -(how did the switch go?)

CATHY-how are you doing with rain? news looked terrible today. hope you are ok LIBBY-hope the switch went well AMY-I once wore the wrong jacket (polar fleece) to the barn and was covered. Never did that again BETH-hope each day your cough is less. DUTCH-same for you and DS-hope you are feeling better

Hello all, The horse switch went fine, both horses trailer well. Rosie is in a 12 x 14 box stall and can't see the other horses. She has Diesel right next to her. They were calling back and forth for a bit when she first got there. Walked her around the arena, free lunged her, then jumped on, she did great! Lead dgd around on her at a walk and a little trot, my feet were hurting, I forgot to put the orthotics in my boots, haven't had foot pain in a while. Rhoku is right at home. He was used to being out in the pasture with run in shed. Now he is in the barn with a 12 x 36' run. Him and Lucy seem to get along fine, no barn kicking lol! Faye; oh no! about the washer! Barb; great about the show Beth; have you kicked the cough yet? Dutch; nice shopping! Cathy; it must have been weird having a lesson over internet! Glad your ok with all the rain! Amy; great pic on fb! HAGD everyone, driving to downtown Seattle today to see the attorney for a 3 month follow up. My nephew's wife is doing her boards yesterday and today in Phoenix! Off to feed Lucy and Rhoku and clean stalls!

Hi, all!
Faye, glad all is OK. What'cha up to today? Barb, hope you get the chance to get out and walk/ride. How fun about the windows...you will love it when all is done! Beth, how are you holding up? Dutch, nice find at the store...sometimes those cheap shirts are the best! Did DS like his new backpack? Libby, glad the exchange went well. Crossed-fingers for Rhoku and Lucy happy friendship. Have a good day in Seattle! Amy, glad it wasn't sickness. Have fun training manes...like Barb, I hated pulling.
Almost didn't swim...as I was getting ready, hail started coming down, then someone at work wanted something. Left 20 minutes late, then it poured while driving to the pool so turned around, then turned around again because I REALLY needed to get some exercise. By the time I got to the pool, it wasn't raining anymore. Had to share a lane but that's OK, the work got done!

opusluv way to be dedicated to your swimming! Nice job!! Ha! Yes, DS likes his backpack... It is a little big, so I'll keep my eyes open, but if I trade it for something else, his 3yr old brain may not appreciate me! lol I see some sunshine today and I have the day off today. I'm thinking of braving my cough attacks and play with Ally abit! Got my taxes submitted to our CPA - best I can at the moment. I inherited a mess from Dad last year, then forgot to take my RMD in 2016, so still trying to sort that out. It's a paperwork mess and NOT what I'm used to! I'm just glad I was able to get it to our CPA yesterday and start this process!
