This is a conservative thread to allow those with conservative views to express themselves. We welcome Republicans, Tea Party folks, and those who believe in the Constitution as written, not as interpreted by liberal judges. If you have liberal views we invite you to participate in a civil and respectful conversation. We would respectfully request that if you cannot post in a respectful and civil manner to refrain from doing so until you can. Good discussions are great - insulting arguments are not. We welcome discussions about our weight loss journey!

I am not a conservative (and consider myself a moderate). Can you explain what the core principal of a conservative approach to governance is? I see lots of different takes on this on various websites. Genuine question. Thank you.

Glad to see you here GLRogers! I consider myself a moderate/conservative and don't need to hear what you think the core principal of a conservative approach to governance is. My tongue-in-cheek answer would be the opposite of what is going on right now.
Liberals are have so much fun making fun of Trump's hair....perhaps they need to do so in order to help them forget some of the best Hillary lies. I only have time for one at the moment, have other things to do.
This is a good one:
Hillary Clinton had been regaling supporters on the campaign trail with hair-raising tales of a trip she made to Bosnia in March 1996.
From a Hillary Clinton, speech at George Washington University, March 17, 2008
“I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”
Far from running to an airport building with their heads down, Clinton and her party were greeted on the tarmac by smiling U.S. and Bosnian officials. An 8-year-old Muslim girl, Emina Bicakcic, read a poem in English. An Associated Press photographed the greeting ceremony.
And here is more on this from CNN at the time (Hillary was running against Obama).
Sen. Hillary Clinton said she "misspoke" last week when she gave a dramatic description of her arrival in Bosnia 12 years ago, recounting a landing under sniper fire.
Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for rival Sen. Barack Obama's campaign, said the Bosnia claim was part of "a growing list of instances in which Sen. Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking."
Thanks for providing a spot to chat about our point of view.

Good to see the replies here. We are a Weight Watchers thread that is in the process of looking for a new home. There is a strong possibility the entire community section of the Weight Watchers website will be going away next week. We welcome an open dialogue here so long as it is respectful.

The Today show on Sunday's- now that it is Willie Geist's show they don't make any pretense about hating Trump. The first 1/2 hr is Willie & his panel of "experts" bashing Trump.
Today one panelist complained about Trump wanting to move on quickly from controversy to controversy. Sounds like Hillary! And the Today spent very LITTLE time discussing the DNC & the wiki leaks emails. I think Bernie supporters would like to know more about how their candidate was snuffed out. Where is the investigation behind that?

One thing really nice about the ProBoards forums is that it displays the number of views. This thread has received 127 views since I put it up besides my posts, so that shows we do have lurkers! We invite the lurkers to come on in and make yourselves known, remembering if you have liberal views to please be respectful.

Once this thread gets going we normally open a new thread every day to keep it to a reasonable size. We are still up on the Weight Watchers site and many of our members are unwilling to post in 2 places, but the community feature of Weight Watchers is scheduled to go away sometime this week and I have directed our members here.
