Mine is getting my weight under control. Sticking to my low carb eating plan and exercising 5 days a week. I get derailed from my eating plan and need to learn to handle certain situations that are hard. And my exercise has been nonexistent and that needs to change.

Reduce/manage paper clutter. I pretty much have all other clutter under control/eliminated. Sorting, filing, dealing with papers of any kind is paralyzing for some reason.

My eating is reasonably under control and I have at least maintained the 25 lbs. I lost with Beck last year. While I'm joining in on the Becking thread and hoping to see a lower number on the scale, I realize that my health would see a bigger improvement if I would start getting more intentional exercise. I think I'm at the point that losing 15 lbs. to get to goal would make me look marginally better, but starting to exercise regularly would make me FEEL significantly better and stronger and give me some increased flexibility.
So I will define my willpower challenge as getting intentional exercise 5 days a week. Since I'm getting more or less NONE now, aside from an occasional bike ride, that would be a big step in the right direction.

Should I focus on developing one good habit that fosters weight loss, or overcoming one bad habit that impedes weight loss?

I won't drink any diet Mt. Dew beyond the three bottles currently in my pantry. This is a big issue as I'll be on vacation in a few weeks at a spa that doesn't have any caffeine. I need to go through withdrawal now instead of when I'm on vacation.

Should I focus on developing one good habit that fosters weight loss, or overcoming one bad habit that impedes weight loss? Great question! For me, wine impedes weight loss. Picking a challenge of sticking to 1300 calories doesn't allow the "glass" of wine I like to enjoy.

I was going to put business related goals but if I have to pick one right now - I have more motivation in the "won't" category to stop binge eating.

Should I focus on developing one good habit that fosters weight loss, or overcoming one bad habit that impedes weight loss? That choice is totally up to you. Either is obviously a benefit to you, so it's just a matter of deciding which is more important for the next few weeks. If you would rather hold off deciding until after we cover the first chapter's "I will, I won't" material, that's also ok. That might help you better frame which challenge is right for right now. That goes for everyone.

I think that I'm going to hold off on deciding on a challenge until I've read chapter one.
I'm thinking that I'd like it to be around exercise but I want to see if anything else jumps out at me.

My challenge is to stop the after dinner snacking. 1 snack is ok, 5 snacks is not. Also, I need more sleep. I need to be in bed by 11 pm at the latest.

I need to revise my goal. I won't go in to a boring explanation but my goal is 1300 calories Monday through Friday and 1500 on Saturday and Sunday. This gives me enough wiggle room in social situations to not feel like "ok, you've blown it so let's live it up".

My challenge is to do some form of exercise three times a week. I figure that will go a long way to helping me both in weight and in mindset.

Lord knows I have plenty of work to do around healthy choices/losing weight, but for my well-being my goal needs to be: get a new job. So, I will apply to at least 7 jobs/week (minimum) until I find an HR position that lets me use my education while helping me to pay off my student loans!

Until I read Paisley's goal, my challenge was to stop snacking after dinner.
However, I know part of what makes me anxious enough to eat after dinner stems from my ambivalence about my job. When I get anxious, I eat, plain and simple.
So I think I'll stick with my challenge of not eating after dinner, but I'm owning that there is a larger context here and I will most likely have to come to terms with my job.

I can change my mind after reading Chap 1, right?

My challenge will be to meal plan, shop & prep healthy weight loss facilitating food for a week at a time.
Edit: After some reflecting, I’m changing my “I will”. I’ll be going away camping in a few days for 10 days and will not need to prep the same way I do at home, so my new “I will” is to record EVERYTHING that I eat or drink in My Fitness Pal.

Ok, I guess I need to add to my "lose weight" challenge. I'll say by logging into the Lose It app everyday.

I'm waaaay behind (sorry), but I really want to be a part of this, so....I WILL unfuck my habitat. This place needs to be uncluttered, deep-cleaned, organized, and arranged/decorated.
