Good morning! Sorry that the weekend is behind us but not sorry I wasn't very productive. I did clean a lot of papers off my desk and it's now back to functional. I never did get my own laundry done, but it's a small pile. Back to work today and I hope it's a quiet week.
Happy Monday!

Good morning everyone!!
Monday morning means that laundry is well underway at our house. I will be paying some bills later and then I need to run a couple of errands. I did get the yard all mowed last night, it went easily. We want to get some corn this morning and get it frozen to enjoy this winter. This means we will have corn on the cob for dinner tonight along with some kind of meat. The rest of the week will include a couple of lunches with BFFs (one from college and the other from working days), then we head to NB to help DD out this weekend.
Maryenne, now that DH is settling into retirement are you getting more anxious to do the same?? I worked for two years after my DH retired and it didn't really both me any if at all.
Have a great Monday and let the sun shine on your parade!!
Peg

Good morning, all. I have been in a "checked-out" mood for the last couple of weeks, but it's time to get back in control. I got on the scale this morning to see how much damage was done, and there were no surprises. I could tell from the tightness of my clothes, that I was up. I will be heading back to Boston in 2 weeks to help DD after surgery and then it will be time to get back to a regular fall schedule. I'm talking to my church to see if they will allow me to run a couple of pre-school music classes there. I am feeling anxious about leaving for two weeks because my BFF is back in the hospital and I feel like hospice will be called in soon.

Good morning everyone!
Joan, welcome back! You were missed. I hope DD's surgery will go well and that it is not anything serious. It's good that you will be able to go up and help when she has it.
Laundry must be the "chore du jour". It's on my agenda here as well today. I also need to go to the grocery store, but will probably try to postpone that until Wednesday when Kroger's has their 5% senior discount, especially since I will be buying a lot. There will still be errands to be done today, however--pharmacy, Sam's Club, etc. So it's a typical Monday morning.
DGS starts 3rd grade today! Seems impossible to me that he is 8 years old; and, school is starting back extremely early. It's much too hot, but the classrooms are air conditioned. Anyway, he's excited and happy to be going back. DGD (5) will start kindergarten on Wednesday. DD is upset because with her new job she has to be out of town for a conference and won't get to go with DGD for her first day of school. As mothers you can all relate to just how disappointed about that she is. DSIL has promised to take LOTS of pictures, but it won't be anywhere close to the same. Moms have to make a lot of sacrifices juggling the home and careers, but this new job was a big step up for her.
Have a lovely day!

Good morning everyone
I had a restful weekend, not what I planned. It rained when I was about to leave for a folk festival so I stayed home. I have been knitting baby hats from every pattern I can find and using up all colors of yarn. I will have a nice collection to donate when the knitting group starts up in September. Michelynn – I hope the spin class goes well.
Joan – I hope your DD’s surgery is not serious.
Joyce – It seems awfully early to start school. We have another month of summer vacation to go. At least the kids are happy about going. It is hard on the mothers who are out working, always a juggling act between home and work.
I need to get the dog out for a decent walk and then I have a PT appointment.
Have a good Monday!

Thought I would check back in. I did a sink full of dishes this morning. I really need to get a handle on doing dishes after each meal instead of once per day or less! After prayer and scriptures I ordered garments from the church and now I need to get in there and start going through paperwork, shredding and filing, but I probably won't get far as this is another workday at Walmart. I work 12 - 9 today and it's already time for me to start getting ready for work.

Good afternoon all. I took my sister to run some errands this morning. Back home, did some gardening chores, worked around the kitchen for a while. I set up a few meetings this week and am relaxing with my afternoon cup of coffee. Tonight DH wants to go to Barnes and Noble to get the new Harry Potter book. Joan, I am sorry to hear about you BF. Hugs and prayers. Good luck to your daughter with her surgery. Peg, glad that you were able to get the lawn done. We have it on our agenda for today, but train is imminent, so it may be put off until tomprrow. Joyce, do your grandchildren go to school year-round? My nephew did years ago in Florida. They went to school for three months and then had a couple of weeks off. How are you doing with the PT Esther? Maryenne, your place sounds like ours location wise. We are on 3 acres, no neighbors in site. Michelynn, how was the spin class? Glad to see a new friend drop by! Have a great day. Lynn

I can't find our thread from the home page. I finally stumbled on the participates tab. Is that the best way to find it? Have any of you found other groups T should check out?
