Hi all, I posted around 9 last night so I won't repeat all that. We finally got our power on at 5 this morning. I've dumped all the freezer food and am going to the store this afternoon to re-stock. Saved what I could out of the refrigerator, but all dairy and cream-based anything had to go. Many people still don't have power.
DS has been in Chicago all week so he missed the hurricane excitement. But his flight got bumped, he ended up stuck in Atlantic City, and is now taking the train back. We will pick him up tomorrow morning in Jacksonville.
What a world!

Hi all,
Maryenne, I did read your post last night. Soooo glad to hear that you are all OK and DS will be back soon too.
Today is really cool in northwest WY with a high of 58 but oh my it is beautiful. We knew it was going to be cold so we packed jackets, sweatshirts, etc. DS and SO went for a hike across one of the lakes and it is starting to rumble thunder.....hope they don't get soaked.
Waving to all!! Happy Sunday!

Yes, I was asleep when the earthquake hit. At first I thought I heard thunder, then stuff falling on the roof, then thought someone was dragging something very heavy down the street ...then the bed started to rock and there were no cats on it .... then it REALLY started to rock and the overhead fan was swinging and stuff on shelves was rattling... towards the end it was a real roller ... the bed felt like a boat in heavy surf .... it was a 5.6 and shallow at the epicenter about 70 miles away and it lasted a little longer than a minute here... there have been a dozen or so aftershocks -- five over 3.0 -- but we have not felt them. Some folks have damage, but as far as I can tell we have only crooked pictures.
Shaken, not stirred

Nothing exciting to report here . . . waving to Joan, Lynne, and Esther in case they stop by later.
Wishing all of you a lovely day!
