Good morning everyone

I hope you are all busy and happy.  I was going to go to the beach today, but it is raining so I will wait unless it clears up this afternoon.  I am making progress cleaning up the house.  Maybe that is what rainy days are for.

Yes, there is a relationship between the fracking and the earthquakes. But it is not direct ... geologists say that it is an effect of the "wastewater injection wells". Fracking takes a lot of water and when the oil and water come back up they have to be separated (not so hard to do) but after that the water is still extremely polluted ... so they have to inject it into deep wells below the aquifer .... but when it reaches a fault it nicely lubricates it and it starts to move. There have been wastewater injection wells for decades because many of the production methods involve water, but not as much as the fracking requires.

I don't know how my friends in Baton Rouge can take it ... first the floods, then the unending clean-up .... and malfunctioning vehicles and now a lot of sickness, including severe mold allergies. One friend's mother had a heart attack and last night her mother-in-law had a bleeding stomach ulcer.

And I'm also hearing from friends and family affected by Hermine on both the Gulf and the Atlantic coasts

Another hot and humid day here, but the sun is shining and that is always helpful for my mood. DH is out of town again with the rental reno, but will be home tomorrow evening. I have a number of errands that I need to run today, and took care of bookkeeping tasks this morning. There's nothing new going on here, but things are moving along pretty smoothly thus far today.

Hello friends!
Busy day, errands, laundry, paying bills, WW meeting- down a pound! Manicure and now on my way to pick up son at Logan Airport in Boston. His army buddies had a reunion in Las Vegas this weekend.
We are heading back to the Berkshires tomorrow and then Cape Cod Saturday for a long week-end.

One mouse down, how many more to go? We never had mice when we had cats. Hopefully it was just the one. No signs of it until I saw it scurry across the kitchen the other day.
