Good morning everyone and welcome Smith! Your pool advice sounds lovely.

This morning, the announcement will be made about my new job. I'm having some anxiety about the move - had a little trouble sleeping and I will be glad when this part is over. I wasn't given a choice and I have heard conflicting reasons for the move. The best I can do is take one day at a time as I said the other day. My job won't change ~ mainly a new set of players. Even though it's supposedly a secret, I've let people that I am close to know ahead of time, so they won't receive the news in an email.

DH and I are both somewhat better with our colds, although he is still coughing quite a bit.

Peg, Joyce, Michelynn, Lynn, Esther, Joan - I hope I haven't missed anyone - I wish you all a happy Monday!

Good luck today Maryenne and remember you have already set a 6-month self evaluation. You will know if the move has been a positive move or not.

Expensive but productive trip to Target yesterday. With sales and coupons we saved almost 35% -- good deals!!

Today I have an appt with the oncology NP for a local check after having seen the specialist in Indy about a month ago. I start back with the Zometa next week after my root canal has healed for 8 weeks. Ladies, you should be proud, I actually have a list of things I want to ask about. Then I will be meeting our usual group for lunch and hope to get the yard mowed before dinner. My cold appears to be a bit better this morning too, I hate a constant runny nose.

We have had a good time at the Cape. We went shopping yesterday for the October birthdays. We got gifts for my daughter, daughter in law, sister and great granddaughter.
Today we will go to our favorite kitchen store for some spices and to check out end of the season sales. Then off to the beach for a walk. Back to RI tomorrow.

We start rehearsals today for Jewish New Year music, coming October 3rd. I am also practicing to blow the shofar on October 3rd. I only get it out this time of year so I need to relearn it.

Lynne, glad you enjoyed your time at the Cape and good for you getting your birthday shopping complete. Sounds like your family has a lot of October birthdays.

Esther, enjoy your rehearsals. If I remember correctly you also blew the shofar at your synagogue last year as well. (I remember because I didn't know what that was and looked it up. Sounded very interesting.)

Looks like today is going to be a difficult day here. My mom is very agitated and teary. We have good days and bad days, and today looks like it's going to be on the wrong side of that scale. Maybe it will improve as the day goes on. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease! You don't realize just how horrible until you find yourself caring for someone who has it. This is one of those days were I recite the Serenity Prayer to myself multiple times. St Francis was a wise man.

Went with my BFF not only to the Farm Market on Saturday but for the county fair (next to it) .... had fun looking at pig and chicken judging, quilts, vegetables, etc.

I can hardly believe that it is mid-September again.
