Good morning all!
I am going to the grocery store and have already started my list. It will be a big shopping trip. Beyond that, no plans.
Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Good morning and Happy Sunday!!
I spent the afternoon yesterday baking...made a pie for the new neighbor's and for us a new banana bread muffin recipe (low fat and sugar) and egg custard. The muffins are OK but next time I would add some nuts.
Today will probably be pretty quiet with our usual lunch out and stop to Target. DH started painting new post caps for our deck which he will want to finish. I am going to wait to mow the yard until tomorrow (rain predicted for Tuesday AM) even though it needs it right now.since we will be gone next weekend Iwant to wait as long as I can.
Hope everyone has a reflective Sunday.
Peg

Good morning everyone! We had rain all yesterday and last night. It's gloomy outside now and muggy, but not raining. My dad says he wants to go to church again today so he and I will go. I'm just amazed at how much better he has gotten over the past few months since his broken hip. My mom is not going to attempt going, and I am pleased that she came to that choice on her own. Last week was just far too stressful for her, and she was much worse for two full days afterwards. She is leveling back out now, and I don't want to take a chance on anything interfering with that. So DH will stay here with her. Wishing each one of you a lovely and restful day to get the new week started!

Hello to everyone
I spent the morning cleaning out my office, a chore I have been putting off for months. Another bookkeeper is coming this afternoon to go over one of my clients' books as he will be taking over her work. I have 3 payroll tax clients left and they are gradually going over the next month or so. I am meeting with another one on Tuesday to pass on her work. I think I will be relieved when they are all passed into other hands.
It is warm and humid here. We have an endless summer and drought this year.
Have a great Sunday.

Good afternoon, all. I have been absent for several weeks--nothing drastic, just in a bit of a 'funk.' My BFF is now in hospice and does not want to see anyone. No one ever knows for sure, but I don't think it will be much longer. We all expect to lose our 'elders' but when you see someone your own age struggle with sickness & death, it certainly has a sobering affect! I am working with the Sunday School children with music every week. We seem to have only little ones--pre-school- 3rd grade and that is not the age group I prefer, but I guess you have to play with what you're dealt! I'm cooking this weekend, too. I made a big pot of minestrone soup yesterday & today it is apple squares--sort of a bar cookie. I am bidding on a concert Ukulele this afternoon. I thought it would be fun to use with the SS kids. Auction is on EBay, so who knows if I'll get it or not. Peg--I know what you mean about the yard. My DS who does all the mowing is always hoping it's the last time! Joyce--I'm glad your dad is wanting to get out to church. That's a good sign. Esther-We have gotten a slight break from the heat & a bit of rain, but we're still way under our rain for the year. I'm glad you're turning over the jobs to others! Maryenne--I finally got to the grocery this week & managed to spend WAY more than I was expecting! No list & no plan will do that.

Good evening all. So glad to hear from you Joan. My heart breaks for your BFFs situation. Prayers for her and her loved ones. Peg, I understand wanting to put off mowing until you have to! Your baking spree is very impressive! Maryenne, I hope your weekend was restful. How is your cold? Esther, this humidity is awful, isn't it? Eastern Mass and RI are like living in a sauna. I hope tomorrow's rain helps with the humidity. Joyce, I am glad your father has been able to get out for a couple of weeks in a row. How did DH's rental pursuit go? Are you purchasing single family homes or apartment buildings? Michelynn, when will you be traveling to Baton Rouge? Is it a long drive? I made a watermelon , feta, onion and basil dish tonight. It was a dry run for the cookbook book club tomorrow night. It was delicious! I will make another tomorrow afternoon before I head to the podiatrist for a late afternoon appointment. My research on Medicare options is finding some interesting information. I did not know that the options vary by your state of residency. Have a great evening! Lynn
