Good morning everyone!
It has been such a busy week and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to join you. We got back into town at 9 Wednesday night. When they dropped me off at my car, it had a dead battery. So I had to wait about a 45 minutesfor DH to come and charge it up. He charged it again yesterday so I could get to work. He came into town later and bought a new battery and installed it. When I left work, it started up like new.
Yesterday was a crazy busy day and I was exhausted by the time I got home, but we had tomatoes we needed to use up and he wanted a tomato pie. By the time we ate last night, it was nearly 9. I must say he fried the bacon and cut up the tomatoes and shredded the cheese, but I would have been happy with a tomato sandwich. Anyway I had a good night sleep and I'm glad it's Friday, which will be a much lighter day. One meeting and lunch with a coworker, so I will be able to catch up on emails, etc.
Esther, I'm glad you were able to get into the doctor. What are your next steps?
Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!
Maryenne

Good morning all,
Sorry I didn't report in yesterday but we spent the morning in the ER. My gall bladder decided to hit the wall Wed. night. DH wasn't home because of his sleep study so I hung in until I knew he was awake then called him. I will call the surgeon later this morning to get everything scheduled. The surgery will be done as an out patient.
Well I have to get moving as I have a blood draw at the cancer center. I will check back in later.

Good afternoon friends. My goodness, the clouds are getting dark over our little group! Maryenne, I hope you can get some rest this weekend. I am glad your new battery is working out. Peg, prayers for the gall bladder surgery. May it be uneventful and your healing quick. Prayers for Joan, thinking of her and her friend. Michelynn, how are things in Baton Rouge? Esther, glad to hear your flute group is starting up again. Your music brings so much pleasure to you and I am sure your audiences! Joyce, I hope you have a quiet weekend. Nothing eventful happening here. DH cut the lawn for the last time this season. We will be back in a. Opulent of weeks to turn off the outside water and trim the hedges. Waving hello to all I may have missed. Have a good day. Lynn

Got to the condo to discover that the AC (new in 2010) wasn't keeping up. Had the service guy out and he discovered that it is leaking coolant from the evaporation coil. It's under warranty, but he had to order the part so I have to stay here longer than expected waiting for it to arrive.
As for battery trouble, I always use AAA. They usually arrive within minutes no matter where you are. The car that we keep at the condo had a dead battery again. (It hadn't been driven for five months.) AAA came out and jumped it, but since it wasn't recharging very quickly they took it to the shop to recharge over night. Well, it wouldn't recharge so, since I had bought it from them, they replaced it. I also got a "battery tender" to hook up to it when I leave. It does a "trickle charge" to keep it charged, but has the programming not to overcharge it. (Checked and put air in the tires.)

I had a good talk with the orthopedist. He says to use heat, advil and walk on level ground for now. When the pain is gone I can start yoga classes. I am very slowly getting better. Some days I am almost pain free. A lot of this was triggered from the two flights I took in May when I barely moved for 12 hours. I never realized how important it is to move around frequently.
I am going to a Boston Symphony concert tonight. I expect to be carried away.
Have a good weekend all.

I'm am very late reading and posting today. Peg I had my gall bladder out in June. I can only wish you have as easy a time as I did. Was only at the hospital a few hours and very little discomfort after. Had it on Wednesday and back to work on Monday.
Going to symphony tomorrow night. Was given tickets so the price is right too.
Have a good weekend
