Good morning all!
Smith, your mention of watermelon yesterday made my mouth water, so I picked some up at the store yesterday. Today I'm taking a small salad, cheese curds, yogurt, and watermelon. I wanted to get bananas but they were all bright green. I might supplement my lunch with something from the cafeteria.
We will not get hit by the hurricane but we're keeping an eye on it. My state agency cancelled all travel this week. I hope everyone on the Atlantic coast stays safe.
Hope you have a sunny Wednesday!
Maryenne

Good morning everyone and Happy Wednesday!!
I am feeling tons better. So now I am anxious to get some errands run and a few other things taken care of today. I am meeting a BFF for a lite lunch today and I know we will sit and talk for a couple of hours.
I did buy us a new mattress pad yesterday so it is in the washing machine this morning.
Country ribs for dinner tonight.
Waving to everyone! Peg

Good morning friends! We are keeping an eye on Matthew. Some models have it affecting southern New England. My teacher BFF and I are going to a meet the authors event tonight. Three great authors- Ellen Herrick, Wally Lamb and Alexander Chee. I have read Ellen's debut novel, The Sparrow Sisters. Loved it, it took place on Cape Cod, one of my favorite places! The last book I read by Wally Lamb was We are Water. Loved it! And I have just started Alexander Chee's book ,The Queen of the Night. Today I am making the baked beans I plan on taking to the cookbook book club in a coupe of weeks. They would probably be great with your ribs, Peg. Maryenne, I hope you had a more restful night. I am paying some bills today and cleaning a bathroom. I may venture out to get the supplies for a Halloween craft. It uses a tomato cage, glow sticks and a witch's hat. I got the idea from Instagram. I will try to upload a picture when it's finished. Have a great day! Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Today is the day the DGKs come, so not sure how much I will be online for the next few days--probably not much. DH has gone to pick them up now, and I'm expecting them early afternoon.
Peg, so glad that you are feeling better!
Maryenne, Lynn, and everyone who follows waving hello and wishing you a lovely day.

Hello to everyone. I have been celebrating the Jewish New Year the last few days and not on the computer.
We are watching out for Matthew this weekend. Our annual 3 day Honk Festival with street bands from as far away as France is this coming weekend. We usually get glorious bright October weather for the festival. I am going to try to play in a couple of events if I can do it. I have pretty much given up the street band since the arthritis got so painful.
Joyce - Enjoy your grandchildren.
Peg - I hope your gall bladder troubles subside until your surgery!
