Good morning ~ I got up a little earlier this morning to watch the hurricane coverage. It seems they are just now in the thick of it. I've got a Facebook friend in Eau Gallie just south of Canaveral and I'm concerned about her. She stayed in her home with her cats. One map shows the storm just gliding along the coast for a few hours but not hitting land and turning more to the east. That would lessen the impacts. But winds are up to 125 mph.
I'm going to work half-day today, lunch with my former boss who retired about three years ago, and then coming home. DH and I may go up to Thomasville and eat at the market diner, depending on the weather.
Peg, my job is going well so far. There are a few things I'm not crazy about -- mainly that the boss wants to meddle -- but so far I can hold her off. Everyone is very nice and some kind soul left me a welcome cupcake the other morning!
Hope you all have a peaceful Friday!
Maryenne

Good morning
I am on my way out to the skin doctor for my annual checkup. Why do we have so many doctors as we get older?

Hi all,
Maryenne, hope your friend is safe. I've been watching coverage of the storm this morning too. Hope you joyed your welcome cupcake, it was a very nice gesture. Hope you can enjoy a drive into GA this afternoon.
I am doing a couple of loads of laundry this morning but have to get moving very soon as I have an appt with the local oncologist. I am not expecting anything really different but I want to talk to her about the gall bladder surgery and then one of my blood numbers is slightly elevated. I think DH is going with me so maybe we will go out for a nice lunch.
Any fun plans for the weekend??
Peg

Good morning friend. We are also keeping an eye on Matthew as we have friends and family in Florida and South Carolina. DGS is spending the weekend with us. I pick him up after school today. I have been letting my hair grow and today I am getting it styled with a totally new look for me! Not much planned for the weekend. Esther, it seems that our lists of doctors increase as we age! Good luck with the skin check. Peg, hoping for a good visit for you today, too! Maryenne, the farm diner sounds interesting. Have a great day! Lynn

I drove back from the condo yesterday - had to stay longer than anticipated because of repairs. They still have not recovered from the August floods... can't imagine how long will take to clean up after Matthew. Driving north and west, the oncoming lanes were a steady stream of "cherry pick" electrical repair trucks

Back from the doctor and everything went fine. Everything remains within normal range. Hurray!! I really like my local oncologist, we talked about my upcoming gall bladder surgery and that recovery, weight, and more and more. She really cares about the total being.
We have an 80th birthday reception for two cousins on Sunday. It should be fun.

Good news Peg! Michelynn, glad you had a safe trip back to Oklahoma. I went for a major revamp on my hair style and color. I love my new look. Collar length, side swept bangs, warm brown with subtle streaks of honey and caramel. Before I grew it out it was strawberry blonde with blond streaks, chin length. This style allows my natural waves to come out. I am excited to see my family's reaction! Have a good evening! Lynn
