Good morning dear ladies,
Well I got my seasonal clothes swapped out yesterday. All done, a huge bag taken to Goodwill, and everything back in the closet with hangers reversed. This will allow me to see in the Spring what might not have been worn this season.....and I will pitch them.
Today we are off DH's cousins 80th birthday celebration. It should be fun. DH's family is aging so there won't be a lot of family members there that I will know.
Our weather is beautiful today, anxious to get outside. So glad Matthew wasn't as bad as it could have been.
I imagine several of you will be watching the debate tonight. I am so fed up of this year's election that I may just let it go on without me. I would probably be in a better mood that way.
Have a great day!!
Peg

Good morning!
Peg, that's such a great idea. Since we don't really have seasons to speak of, I could do that with all my clothes. I know I have clothes in my closet that I don't wear often, but I keep thinking "I might wear that."
We will watch the debate tonight. But you're right - it's all very disturbing.
No plans today although I might go to the grocery store. Light week ahead.
Happy Sunday!
Maryenne

Good morning friends. Peg, I like the hanger idea of keeping track of what clothes you wear. I am cleaning out closets one by one as we have wall switches installed in each to replace the old pull cords. Maryenne, glad to hear the hurricane missed you. My nephews in Jacksonville, sister in Charleston and friends in Fort Lauderdale had various amounts of damage. It is raining here in RI, so I may venture out to look for bedroom curtains for the house in MA. Roast pork for dinner today. Have a great day all. Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Peg, the hanger idea is an excellent one. I should definitely do that!
Lynn, good luck shopping for curtains. I'm not much of a shopper, but I find that when I'm not looking for something I see several things I like, and then when I am actually shopping for something somehow it is much harder to find what I really want.
Maryenne, we will be watching the debate here as well. I'm afraid it is going to be very ugly, perhaps the ugliest thing we have seen thus far in the campaign and that is certainly saying a lot. I think the entire country is just ready to get this campaign behind us, and move forward. Certainly that's how I am feeling.
It is a gorgeous day here although a little windy, with temps supposed to be in the mid-70s. I had hoped to take advantage of such a beautiful day to get my mom and dad out of the house for lunch and a drive, but can't get my mom to go, and of course my dad won't go without her. She says she doesn't feel like it, but she doesn't seem to be feeling badly although I'm sure she never feels good. Anyway, after a little coaxing I let it drop. No point in getting her upset and agitated, and if she doesn't want to go she wouldn't get any enjoyment from it anyway. I think it's a combination of depression and Alzheimer's which makes her so reluctant for anything out of her norm. So since I can't get them out to enjoy the day, DH is going to bring in carry-out for them from a fish place they both like. Then after I get them settled for the afternoon, he and I will go out to eat and maybe take a short drive for some "us" time.
Waving hello to all who stop by later, and wishing each of you a lovely and stress free day.

Just got Alton Browns new cookbook, Every Day Cook ...and I LOVE it. In some ways it is the best of his 8 cookbooks. It reflects lots of experience and is not based on any show. The subtitle is "This Time It's Personal" practical, unusual and delicious
