Good morning and here we are back at Monday again I have a few meetings today but nothing major. The major thing that was scheduled for this week has been cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. My agency is very involved in restoration so that takes precedence over everything (on the part of management, not me personally.) The weekend was restful and we stayed up for the debate. Wondering what this week's dramas will be? I've got breakfast and lunch packed - yogurt, watermelon, leftover chicken and vegetables. Hope your Monday is a good one! Maryenne

Hi all!!
I will admit I made a batch of my favorite brownies last night in anticipation of not being able to have chocolate for about three weeks after my gall bladder comes out on Thursday. I figure I might as well enjoy some each of the next three days in my favorite form. This morning will be quiet but then this afternoon I have an appt with the surgeon as well as one at the hospital for EKG etc. I will hit the grocery store to stock up on jello and other soft bland foods that I can eat for the first couple of days after surgery.
How is everyone doing?? Joan, we miss your posts.
Peg

Good morning! Maryenne your lunch sounds good. I'm cooking chicken for our lunch today--think I'll do bar-b-qued chicken breasts in the oven. Wish we had some of Peg's brownies to go with them! This looks like it will be a nice, quiet week for us. My mom got up in good spirits this morning, my dad seems to be doing well, so I'm knocking on wood here that it stays that way! We also watched the debate last night. It was ugly, but not as ugly as I feared it might get. As Maryenne said, we're probably in for more drama as the week progresses. I don't think I've ever been as anxious for a campaign season to be over as I am this one. It's a beautiful day here. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good morning friends! We are expecting six grandchildren to be here today. Some of them want to bake pumpkin bread, so we will be doing that. The rain has finally stopped and the sun has come out! Our great granddaughter turned one yesterday. It doesn't seem possible possible! We watched the debate last night. All I can say is that the real winners are the comedy writers and Saturday Night Live. Glad I had a glass of wine to sip. Have a great day! Lynn

Good morning everyone
I am glad we all escaped damage from Matthew. I skipped the Oktoberfest yesterday because of the rain, but some band members were out in the rain anyway. I give them credit.
Today we cooked food for the break fast after Yom Kippur on Wednesday. Our contra dance band is playing a concert of American fiddle tunes in Concord, Mass this afternoon. I hope it is not too cold since it is an outdoor concert.
Lynn - Enjoy the grandchildren!
Joyce - I hope your day is peaceful with your parents.
Have a great holiday!
