I am definitely not an exerciser. I have old injuries, so I tend to start, it hurts and I stop.
Treadmill works, I did two days, but two in a row is too much. I do DIsney + and watch a show, so I want to watch another episode so I need to walk.
I need to add other things as well, I have a bunch of Holly Dolke, Betty Rocker and FitOn things I can do that are not too long.
Starting with 15 mins.
I need to convince myself that 15 mins is enough. WHen I do something I want to get to 45 mins to an hour, and that is too long and I stop.
15 mins daily is good, and treadmill 3 times a week too.

charlotte21 , "enough" can be such a hard concept to deal with! I need to avoid comparing myself to others in the fitness challenge thread, many of whom are posting lengthier and more challenging things than I'm doing. If I can accept that 20 minutes of standing/floor exercises is enough, I'm more likely to do it.

Here.
Journal. Daily weight. Food plan. Check.
Road trip this weekend, I need to have a solid plan in place BEFORE I leave. Winging it doesn't work well for me.

Hi, ((( bonzee))) you're grieving a loss, even if it's a sadness over what could have been. There is no timetable or right/wrong way to get through it. "He who lacks time to mourn, lacks time to mend." Shakespeare You're worth the time. I need to look up the source of this quote: "Comparison is the thief of joy." I got a great walkabout in this morning, and may do another this afternoon. Sun's out. I'm finding alternate walking routes. Tomorrow is basically hide at home, as it's Cubs home opener crazy. Listening to my hunger and fullness cues, MSS. Thinking about how to incorporate more foods that I have previously restricted myself from back into my life. Maybe. 🙂 Planning, tracking, OP'ing. Smiled in the mirror. My pants are getting baggy-woo hoo!

digplantweed, great point. Comparing to others leads nowhere.

WIth the help of an active link to track I found out years ago that I could be super inactive while being a gym bunny . This was a revolution for me because I found that I could be active with out being a gym bunny . SO yep , I do like to be fit and wow! walking is great with a few push -ups off the kitchen counter tossed in . Letting it be comfortable and easy has made a big difference to me .

Going in COVID lockdown again tomorrow night.
It is taking all my Beck tools for me not to jump in wine chips or chocolate. Or all three.
I am so pissed at the idiots who still don’t take this seriously. I could separate their heads from their bodies. Would this count ad APs?
I still have 6 DPs left, I think a nice Nutella latte would help me calm down while sticking to my plan.

charlotte21, where do you live? I am so sorry. Can you use it as a kind of 30 day personal April reset?

Cyn, I am in Quebec. I own the business, so I still get to work and worry about the rest. April reset for activity is a good idea, if I can get home early enough daily.

Had 2 meals out today but did OK. Played pickle ball for a couple hours and had over 15K steps. So, credit for that. Ordered a light lunch; brought home at least half my supper.
I do a lot of exercise but honestly do not love it. So, right or wrong I break it into small parts. For example, I lift weights 5 exercises with weights 5 times a week instead of 2 longer sessions a week. I also break up doing yoga and balance exercises that way. I row 3 times a week, kettle ball once, do an abs video once and get 10K averages steps daily. My knee is no longer made for running and oddly that makes me sad. It was a quiet time for me to listen to music and process thoughts. Now I walk the hills to get in cardio but nothing like running.
I managed to meet about 99% of my weekly exercise goals through COVID. The conclusion is that I can not manage my weight with exercise. Duh, I knew that.

jonik, thank you for the inspiration of breaking things down. Like you I also miss running. But my feet and ankles can’t take the pounding anymore.
