This is my second DTS review. I have forgotten for months about the importance of eating on a schedule. I have usually eaten any of my meals when I get hungry. My work schedule from 1998 on was flexible with my breaks and lunchtime. Now retired 4.5 years and live alone. First I will focus on eating dinner between 5:30 to 7:30. After that is an ingrained habit I will look at the other meals and snacks. I will focus on this for the upcoming week to begin.

Focus is slow and mindful eating. I've been letting it slide.

Resisting the caramel popcorn.
I should not have bought more. I will only have some as a treat on the weekend.

I've been off track, mildly depressed, and unfocused for a couple of weeks. Trying to treat myself with compassion and making a meal plan for the rest of the week.

Eating slowly needs some attention. I am finding weighing myself daily is a great accountability check.

My focus for today is to follow my eating plan.
I also need to practice eating slowly and mindfully.
For months I was a daily weigh-er. Then I tapered off. I finally started back up weighing daily several days ago. It feels good. It helps me stay accountable.

My focus today will be sticking to my eating plan because we are getting together with friends for dinner. I'm fortunate because my friend is about eating healthy as well so that should definitely help.
Still weighing daily and I am actually liking it!

I'll try to remember to start sharing tips here too since we're through the big 10. Friday Weekend Warm-up: What we THINK will lead to a great weekend is eating whatever we want, in whatever quantity we want, but when we do the opposite – control our eating and stay on track – that’s truly what feels so great. fitin14, pirouette, sweetmarsh52, gemellus, Cyn, Emily.Postal, beherenow, ontosomething, charlotte21, phoenix, digplantweed, lindabee, lumberjack55, wendroz, corgi, mary~m, peacemama, bunzoni, tina1966mi, mollyrox, melbre, Emily.Postal, irisinnia, gracie

Here.
I was pretty social with close friends so this weekend will be down time to recharge in hermit mode. I have to work on training myself to not eat for recreation.
I can be active and out and about on my own to keep myself on track. I may have to give myself a loose and easy schedule instead of going freeform, though.

It's weird (for me) how the calendar structures my choices. I've been off track for a couple of weeks due to both travel and mood issues. Tomorrow is May 1 and I feel comfortable and confident in saying that May will be a period of planned and controlled eating. Why not right now? No answer.

For months I was a daily weigh-er. Then I tapered off. I finally started back up weighing daily several days ago. It feels good. It helps me stay accountable. Daily weighing has been a huge factor in my Noom success (35 since last July). When I'm off daily weighing, I'm not losing.

I am going to do the hunger tolerance exercise today. I need the practice since I have not done it since December. "Hunger is not an emergency." 😁😉😋

Here!
I almost did the hunger exercise yesterday. I am not made to fast. I had lunch at 2pm because of a late appointment, and it took all I had not to derail, but I managed it.
My plan is set forMay.
WW Blue, tracking, exercise, goals are set and I want to be in the 140s on May 31.

I had accidentally posted this in the Alumni thread yesterday when I meant to post here
Happy Weekend All!
I am working today and Saturday. That helps me stay on track with my eating.
Normally weekends don't mean that I can eat anything I want. I try to stay on track and control my eating. I guess since I'm kinda retired weekends are just another day of the week.
I had a wonderful credit this morning. DD left some candy out on the kitchen counter. I usually have it way in the back of the cabinet. It would have been so easy for me to eat some, then put it away. In fact, I had opened the container to grab a few pieces, thought about it, and put the jar back in the cabinet. Yay for me!

My May plan: weighing daily, Noom lessons, tracking all food and staying in my calorie budget, at least 64 oz of water a day, 10K steps a day.
I have a meal planning spreadsheet set up and I'm working on filling it in. Breakfast will be the same every day: Greek yogurt with fruit and almonds. I have three lunch plans, and (so far) 4 dinner plans, with more dinner plans to come.

I incidentally practiced hunger tolerance last night. I woke around 3 or 4 am super hungry and thought about grabbing a small snack. I managed to remind myself that it would further disrupt my sleep and stayed in bed, got several hours additional rest. Aside from coffee and water still haven't eaten yet as I am going to have breakfast out later(healthier option) before shopping for groceries.
Stepping up the exercise this month.
Daily weights continue. Starting to feel a bit more routine.

Good Daysomfar, working this weekend. Just saw this today, Hope is not a strategy, you have to plan. Could sum up my past behavior at times thinking I could hope I’d lose weight...

I did the hunger tolerance exercise yesterday. It was for less time than I would have liked. I need to strengthen my hunger tolerance muscle. I realized that I had not experienced hunger for any length of time in a great while. I will revisit this practice weekly again to get stronger.
