Good morning!
Hope everyone is either resting or doing something fun this morning. Peg, how are you feeling today?
I'm having some kind of allergic thing in my eyes, mostly my left eye. Itchy and watery. I found some unopened Pataday drops leftover from my cataract surgery, so I started using them last night. It's a little better this morning. We're not planning to go anywhere today.

Good morning friends, We are gathering up stuff, cleaning up and getting ready for the drive back to RI. New England is in its glorious fall foliage glory. We rode through a nearby state forest and I got some gorgeous pictures. Today we head backs through Northwestern Connecticut through the Litchfield Hills, which are said to be at peak color. Tomorrow is DSIS birthday, we are going out for lunch. Off to have lunch before heading out. Have a great day. Lynn

Hi all,
My incision is sore today as the dr said it would be. I am using ibuprofen and tylonel for pain during the day and then the prescription pain pills at night. I've had two naps already today. Needless to say I'm not doing very much of anything. DH is keeping up on the dirty dishes and warming soups. Saturday college football, iPad games, and dot-to-dot book are keeping me occupied.
Lynn, enjoy your drive back home. The fall leaves in IN aren't very colorful yet.
Michelynn, how is your DH doing?? Hopefully better!
Esther, Lynn, Joan and Smith.....waving a quick hello!
Peg

Hope you all had a nice Saturday. I got some donations delivered, laundry and typical Saturday chores done. Farmers market season is ending in Kansas but did get a nice assortment of veggies.
Going to bed early tonight. Sleep well everyone

DH's edema is greatly reduced and his lungs are clearer. They are still trying to chase down exactly what happened ... he has chronic kidney disease, heart failure and chronic atrial fib. And there was some kind of infection in his lungs even though he had no fever or coughing. I suspect that he picked up something while his immune system was processing his flu shot... and I don't want him to stay in the hospital any longer than absolutely necessary because he could pick up a drug resistant infection there. Because he is on fluid restriction, he has no IV ... just oral meds ... and we can handle oxygen at home like we have before. It works especially well hooked up to his CPAP. I'm hoping that he can come home in a couple of days.
