Good morning all,
I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was restful and we continued our binge-watching of Longmire.
I don't have too much going on today, mostly just getting ready for the rest of the week - travel to Tampa on Wednesday and then vacation.
Have a wonderful Monday - find something good to do for yourself.

Hi everyone!
Slept really well through the night without any pain pills....hurray!
We are planning on meeting our WY friends for lunch today. I am planning on going so keep your fingers crossed for me. It will be my first venture away from home. I've checked out the restaurant's menu online and I think there are a couple of options for me. The key will be to not over eat and limit the fat, grease, and spice. The rest of the day will be pretty quiet.
Maryenne, I am sure you will enjoy your trip. I love to travel in the fall. We had planned to getting away but that will probably wait until the 2nd half of February when we hope to go to FL for a couple of weeks.
It looks like we are going to have a beautiful very warm day! I plan on enjoying it and hope you will too where ever you may be today.
Have a good one, Peg

Good morning everyone!
It's a bright sunny day here, and the weatherman evidently hasn't checked his calendar because we're supposed to be back up around 90* today. Definitely not fall weather! It is supposed to cool down for the weekend, however, to the low 60s. It's all these fluctuations that make it hard to know how to dress, and are hard on the sinuses.
Michelynn, hope your DH is improving.
Esther, how's your hip?
Joan, haven't seen you post for awhile. Hope all is well for you.
Lynn, did you get everything winterized at the MA house?
Yesterday DH and I got out and went to a matinee movie -- Deepwater Horizon. It's a good movie, but very intense. I had cooked a pork loin yesterday, and there's enough left of that for today, so I'll just need to make a couple of side dishes to go along with it. Both my mom and dad have eye doctor appointments this afternoon, so not having to plan for a main course will be a help.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Good afternoon all. Peg, enjoy your outing! Maryenne, safe travels on your business trip as well as your vacation. Joyce, we got all we planned to do accomplished and then some! We are ordering a new front door and replacing some boards over the porch crawl space. It's always something! I finally found five pairs of matching curtains for the master bedroom in MA As someone mentioned, it happened when I was not looking for them! I went out for a birthday breakfast with my sister this morning. We had a great time. I got up early to put together the maple baked beans I am bringing to the cookbook book club tonight. They bake for eight hours. The cookbook this month was Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa At Home. Have a good day everyone. Lynn

We thought DH would be released from the hospital today, but his serum glucose (blood sugar) has been bouncing around so they are keeping him one more night. Meanwhile I'm making dinner for a "meal train" for a church choir friend in chemo... the tumors are reducing nicely so the surgery shouldn't be as bad as it would have been.
