Gypsy3n8, I'm really bad about scheduling them. The only reason I scheduled it was because I take meds for high cholesterol and my MD won't refill it until I go in.

I have my annual on Oct. 4th. It’s a new doc and not sure if we;ll do gyno stuff or just the basis and blood tests. I dread seeing my cholesterol. I’ll bet this new doc puts me on meds for it.

I can’t wait to see the baby pics annhtx! Hey hotties. It’s quittin’ time. Woo hoo. My super fit and active DH had to start BP medication today. He’s been fighting it for a year and half. We thought retiring would help but apparently his issue is hereditary. He was light headed once today. I’m nervous for him. He’s a little depressed. He won’t admit it but I can tell. I read everything but dang! 3 pages is a lot to respond to at once. I love when everyone is chatty! I think I’m the flaky BFF you all describe. Being a friend is hard. I can do better.

tootles , Sorry about DH. All of the available medical care and medications is why people are living longer now though. Tell him to take the meds and enjoy feeling better. Jels , DD's fall has nothing to do with DS except that it triggers my nerves about having him in someone else's care. I went to the grocery store to get some ingredients for a chicken taco casserole and because I was out of deodorant. Bubble bath and bath salts were on sale and so was mascara I like so I grabbed all of those things and somehow spent $85 on my odds and ends grocery trip. Oh well! Looking at my credit card statement I have a sephora order I made for stock up on foundation powder, $52. Two orders for new family photos for the wall, $40.85 and $13.89. Regular charges for auto insurance and youtube tv. Editing to add: Ann, I want baby pictures too

In an effort to clean out my kitchen fridge/freezer before I go to ND, dinner tonight will be 1/2 box of General Tsoas chicken (which is really good), 2 leftover mini egg rolls and a leftover pack of microwavable fried rice packs (which isn't very good).
My kitchen freezer is starting to look like it did back when I was a honeymooner. Nothing but, frozen veggies, pizza and Red Box Stouffer meals.

I agree scarlett11 ! He's lucky his doctor noticed this trend. They said give it 6 weeks to even out. He'll probably feel better about it by Christmas. For reference he's slowly gone from 128/78 just a few years ago to 165/95 today.

Tootles, I was right there with your DH a few years ago. And starting the meds was depressing until they made me feel so much better! I was amazed when I realized how bad I was feeling before them. I hope he realizes it too, in a few weeks!

Thanks annhtx. It's nice hearing a first hand story of success. He is on thyroid medicine too and has been for years. Prior to that he didn't realize how bad he felt just like you before BP meds. I'm hoping that is the experience he has with the BP meds. I've known something new has been off for a while now but couldn't pinpoint it. I hope this is it.

Well shit. His Rx can make him dizzy and already has made him dizzy on day one. Alcohol can make it worse. He's going on a 4 day golfing trip starting tomorrow. This is very bad timing. He loves sipping on a bourbon once we are settled down for the evening but he's not a heavy/binge drinker unless there is a "men's weekend". All bets are off when he is hanging out with his high school buddie once per year.
This drug is brand new to his body. No telling how it will react with or without an influx of alcohol. I'll talk to him about it tonight after his podcast.
