Good morning!
We had a great time in Asheville. Did some stuff we usually don't do, went to a brewery that is new to us, ended up eating BBQ on the way home. The dogs had a great time meeting new people and dogs. DH is so nervous about taking the dogs out. Jordan used to be very anxious around other dogs and children. She has really gotten over that now. I watch her when loud, hyper kids get near her, but she doesn't seem to care at all. DH is harder to deal with than her.
We had lunch at a newish restaurant. DH had a Cobb salad, which he declared the best he has ever had. I had a Thai salad that was also delicious. It was a huge bowl of vegetables, pickled onions and peppers, peanuts and a vinaigrette with all kinds of good spices. We both will want to go back again and again. We also got a plate of pickled vegetables to start the meal.
I have today and tomorrow off. DS2 is coming in tonight so he can go vote tomorrow. I offered to fix dinner at home, but he wants to go to Burger and Beer night.
DS1 is headed over to work on his essays for law school. I am his proof reader. I try very hard to just fix the grammar and not change his voice. Sometimes it is hard to keep my opinions out of his essays. He really is a good writer, so I am happy to help when I can.

morning Ladies: Just had a nap after a 6 am wakeup call to get sam to school. Cyn, Sam texted his mom. She called the dad and he would not answer. She texted him and he would not answer (probably drinking). She couldn't go get him as it was his "time". Sam called me and texted and I told him we had to ask his dad. His dad said no. I asked him to have Jeff call....he said no. When I got there the girlfriend has moved back in and she came out to see who was getting sam to be sure he was safe. She was glad it was me. He won't tell his mom or me what went down yet. He is in therapy with the dad and family.WE had another calm lovely evening and no hitch on getting him to school. He asked me then asked his mom if he could stay the week. I said I don't mind. However, since next week is with his dad I may rethink that with him and his mom. He may need a refuge next week. I ate 3 lg cookies last night and 1/4 c potatoes with 3 oz beef and I am up 8 oz. Today will be better.

Happy Tuesday! I’ve got nothing except that I talked myself out of snacking last night when I couldn’t sleep. My jeans felt tight over the weekend and that feeling stuck with me.

I've got my Senior Discount Day at Walgreen's shopping trip this morning, then soccer pub at 2.

Sweetie has been having litterbox issues again. Sigh. I really wasn't planning for full litterbox change out today, nor having to get the little rug spot cleaner out. Sigh. Yest Liq good GHGs missing an oil APs yep SPs 22/23

MOrning Ladies: Pep, I would gladly say drop him with lead boots on......except the ins and child support is def needed with all of the troubles Cam has. Last night went very smoothly. I resisted his potatoes and everything else last night. We got e-mails saying our Viking Cruise can be rescheduled with no penalty. Will wait to hear from Donna. She is a nervous Nellie and I kinda know what she is going to say. We can use this one to pay for another one.....we do have one scheduled for next April.BUT it is to the Med around Italy, etc and I know she will nix that one. Wait and see.

Morning.
Yesterday was ok. No activity. MG is still recovering and headed to a scheduled dr appointment in the city later this morning (just normal A1c stuff). He wants to get the dogs acclimated to the new boundaries and that won't be for a bit yet. As far as I know he has not plugged in the transmitter for the fence and I'm almost certain he has not walked the dogs around the flag perimeter. I am hoping that we will be mostly over there by this weekend. Last night's WI was down 1.2. With the way things (moving stress/kid stress/just life) have been going, that is better than I could hope for.

Good morning!
I didn't get to help DS1 yesterday as I got hit with a massive ocular migraine. It knocked me completely out for a couple of hours. Usually they don't make me so tired, but I slept for two hours yesterday afternoon.
We have been working for an hour or so now and things are looking good for him. He is also ready to go to a psychiatrist to get back on his ADHD meds. He needs them, as they help with his anxiety, too, and he has a plan to hit a local clinic. He has no insurance, so this will be a great place for him to get help.
DS2 is here, but isn't feeling well. He will feel good enough to go vote though. I think his stomach is messed up with all the stuff going on in his life right now.
*Back from voting. DS2 didn't feel like going when we did, so he is still up in the bed asleep. I took DS1 to brunch to celebrate voting and the last day of Spring Break.
Time to get back to eating better and getting exercise again. Sloth stress is not my friend.

Ok guys, I am done with crappy shite right now. In addition to all the stuff going on with DS2, there is so much sadness in my circle right now.
-DS3 and family are fine, but the tornado in Nashville hit around a 1/2 mile from his house. They are ok, as are all of my friends that I have there, but this mama was scared when she woke up to that news.
-Another college friend has died. George had a big stroke on Thanksgiving Day. His elderly aunt, with whom he lived, found him, but no idea he had been down. He seemed to be recovering when he was hit with the flu. He never recovered from that and died on Saturday.
-A restaurant worker friend of my boys, and us, died in a car accident last night. He was drunk, driving too fast, not wearing a seat belt...a recipe for disaster. The only good thing is it was a single car crash.
-DS2 just told me that one of the people that I went to New Orleans with last summer died yesterday. Another car crash, going too fast and hit a school bus head on. There was probably no substance abuse in that case, just speed.
All of this just adds to my unsettled feelings of late.
Good news, DS1 and I got through two of his things for law school--with a minimal amount of stress on his part. I am really proud of him--when he went to sign in, his information was gone. Instead of losing it completely, he made phone calls and got it reinstated. That is something that would send him into a tailspin in the past. He needs his meds!
Thanks for letting me vent.

Morning Ladies: Poor Moose and your entire circle. So much sadness, so much waste. Hugs to you all. Cool right now but may break an all time record for hot. We shall see. I have cancelled several things and been home for days and days with this allergy/sinus crap. Smidge better. Going out to lunch with my friend today. Sam and I are smooth. No problems/no issues. He has always seemed like a loner. Family pics would have him on the side of the couch type thing while everyone else hugged on the other end KWIM? Anyway, I finally got out of him that most of his issues at the moment are with the siblings, so hopefully this break will help. At one time or another each of them have been here to get away from the screaming hoardes that is their house. Down couple ounces today. Hope the light lunch doesn't screw me over. Had my other knee shot yesterday, hurt like a sob again, but he said will hurt for couple days before beginning to get better then I should feel much better for about 6 months. so Yay.

Morning.
Remember when I fell into the chips last week? Last night I intentionally swan dived. It was ugly. And delicious. But really ugly. I did get on the exercise bike for half an hour like I told YF that I had planned. I have apparently been stressing more that I thought about moving/not moving/getting moved. My dreams are all over the place. I don't like it at all.

Yesterday was a good day. Newcastle won, so we continue on in the FA Cup matches. They almost gave it up in the last 10 minutes, so 3-0 became 3-2, but they squeaked it out. Waco Brothers gathering was v fun. Nice change to hear them do an all acoustic set, and the bus ride worked out well both ways, thankfully. Saving about $40 worth of possible cabfare. They had a nice craft bourbon there to try, too. Yes, I have a wee bit of The Overhang today, but I made no poor food choices. That's 5 days in a row w no stupidity. A miracle!

Good afternoon!
Back to work today, and I actually was happy to be there. The sun was out and it just felt good to see it and to walk in it.
DS2 is still here. He has slept another day. He finally looks healthy again. He wants to go to the restaurant where their friend worked to help with the funeral expenses. They are taking up donations to help and we definitely want to do our part. So, it will be salad and pizza for dinner.
The Wellness Challenge started back today. I forgot to weigh in until 1:30 this afternoon. Of course, my weight was up. I will still weigh on Friday and add 2 lbs from home. That seems to be about the difference in home and work. We don't officially WI again until next Friday.
Wellness Challenge:
-7-8 hours of sleep: yes -64 oz. of water: yes -30 min. exercise: no -Track food: yes
SP: 25/17
I hope you have a great rest of your Wednesday!

Happy Friday Eve!
There will be some bike riding, errand running, tax paperwork reviewing, and packing all going on this weekend.
7 more days of work. Another provost candidate comes to campus today. Let's hope the AV system works correctly. The microphone kept randomly cutting out for yesterday's candidate. Of course this was in the newest building on campus that has the best technology. This candidate made a comment that we had great facilities. She obviously had not been given a tour of our older buildings. Can anyone say deferred maintenance due to budget cuts?

Good News Day: I haven't heard any news from the drama queen about wanting to cancel the trip......not about to call and ask. Me and Sam are doing fine. No issued or problems. Even had a long talk with him about getting on with siblings...… I am down in a decade I haven't seen in 2 months. Beautiful sunny day. We hit 90 yesterday and the earliest we hit it last year was 4/9. However, there was a breeze and lo humidity so did not feel like it to me. V, next best option is take a deep breath and enjoy all of your new space and storage and colors, and furniture and floors! The end is in sight!!! Cyn, 5 is the absolute limit for my miracles. Awesome job for you. I, on the other hand, had a yeast roll last night....still a good WI, but think of how good it could have been....damnitall

Hi, Yesterday was a quiet day, I sorted through a couple of little boxes of things in the closet and got rid of most of it. Liq good GHGs missing dairy APs DOR SPs 20/23 Heading to Costco today, it'll be interesting to see how they're supplied. It's a normal run that I've been putting off, I hope they're not low on my pantry staples of canned tomatoes, black beans and chicken broth.

Morning. Yesterday sucked, but everything this week has been tracked. Even the stoopit. Weeklies are gone and there are no blue dot days yet this week. I got on the bike last night and pedaled for an hour while we watched Colbert et al. The dog fence is in and working. The poor pups see those flags everywhere and are just petrified. Ripley, without the buzz collar on her neck, could barely be dragged on a leash around the inner perimeter of the yard. Any time I was holding the collar and got close enough to the line for it to beep, she cowered and tried to run for the house. I hate the guy that did that to her. I hope that when we pull up the flags she gets much more at home in her new space. Once the dogs are acclimated and we can get them over there life will ease up a bit I think. The furkids all like being in the new house when they are there. Abby had taken to the multiple windows and hidey holes. Draco takes everything in stride. And Ripley jumped up on the bed and settled in like she had always been comfortable right there. We are cancelling house internet for the current res effective Friday in hopes that it will spur us into action to vacate the old digs.

Good morning! Yesterday was a good day all things considered. 20/16 2 1/2 mile walk
DH left for a 4-week trip and was nervous about leaving with all that is going on here. The school district just to the north of us (the border is less than 2 miles away) closed all schools and will be doing cloud based learning for the next 14 days. Our district has not announced anything similar yet but I expect its coming. DD is worried because she knows it will be much harder and quite frankly I think anything resembling quarantine is a little terrifying for her which I get, because as an adult it pretty much freaks me out too.

Good morning!
Quick check in before heading to class.
DS2 needs to go home. He does not help me stay OP, as he likes to go out and eat too much, especially since Mom will pay. Seriously, he needs to go home and face his new life. I know that it is hard for him and his girlfriend. Still, he needs to get back and deal.
The pizza was delicious last night, as was my salad.

TGIF!
6 more work days! 1 more provost candidate today. I liked yesterday's candidate but some faculty didn't like that she had moved around a lot earlier in her career. She seemed to have valid reasons but faculty are weird. She's my top pick thus far.
Our website now has a big yellow banner that follows you to all subpages about the university's response to Covid-19. And we have a mandatory faculty and staff meeting this afternoon regarding it. I'm so ready to get out of town for break.

Hi, I didn't go to Costco yesterday, I was very disheartened about Elizabeth Warren, and I didn't want to be around people. I was afraid if I saw people stocking up on stuff ridiculously that I might snap-out. I must remember my Quaker upbringing now, we never know someone else's story. So I stuck to my meal plan 100% this week, and got intentional exercise. I drank loads of water yesterday to flush salt. I accounted for all my beers. My scale hop on Tues am had me down 2 lbs. This morning's peek has me down .2. Sigh.
