I am happy to report that I finished the book I was reading at the silent book club a few weeks ago! It's the first book I've read in quite awhile-I really lost my focus during Covid isolation and it's taken quite awhile to get it back. I used to be a tremendously voracious reader, and do read fast normally, so I'm hoping this will be a jumpstart to get myself back into the habit.
I'm also going to delete the nonogram game I have on my phone, which has been a monumental time suck distraction for waaaay too long. I just want to finish the current tournament off, then I can poof it with a feeling of competitive closure. 🙂

Greetings!
Up crazy early to drive to Rochester, MN to begin my bike trip. Looks like a chance of getting a bit wet either today or tomorrow or both at some point. Oh well, that is why I have all my rain gear with me on my bike.
Yesterday's 5K was great as a dear friend texted me as I was pulling into the lot that she was there! I haven't seen her since last fall. It was so good to catch up with her! We used to run together all the time before my knee vetoed running. I also walked my fastest 5K since 2016! 51:07 which was a very pleasant surprise since I had hiked 14.5 on Saturday.
The damn cicadas are SO LOUD by our house now. My ears were starting to hurt as I was working outside moving stuff from one vehicle to another and getting all my stuff onto my bike. I will be so glad when they finish this invasion. They really aren't kidding when they say 90-100 decibels. It is the worst in the afternoon when it warms up and they really get going. I don't know how anyone can enjoy being outside in some areas right now. Thank goodness there aren't any in Minnesota.
Have a great day!

Howdy!
My head is all stuffy and drippy. I hope it’s a quick thing resulting from working at the garden yesterday. Bleh.
Mom was feeling dizzy and weak yesterday. I’m going to work from home today in case she needs to go to the ER. Yesterday I asked if she thought we should go. She said no, but told me where she put her meds list and other check-in items, just in case. 🤞
I think I’ll go back to bed for a bit since I don’t have a commute this morning.
Have a good day!

Morning.
It was rainy yesterday. Just a perfect day to go to a movie with YF & our teacher friend. We saw IF and although it had some heartrending moments, it was great. I did get choked up watching it. Go see it especially if you need a good cry, but even if you don't. Afterward we went for a walk in the park.
Today looks clear, so I'll get started on the peak I crapped out on last week. I need to pick up the last of the paint I ordered. And I need to take the car title to the bank to secure the financing loan to complete the projects. We had rain last week and the neighbor lost a big limb from her tree. The limb was brought down to the ground safely but left in the street area (on our dead-end street with only her, us, and another Q neighbor needing access). This week the tree guy is supposed to come and clean it up and then will get to the trees in my yard so that I don't suffer the same fate of unwanted tree damage. I have tried to get him out here for a regular trim since the tornado went through 2 years ago, but he has been super busy and our non-emergency maintenance had to be prioritized. The neighbor's tree that broke is one of the hanging canopies that needs to be addressed. We have a good rapport with the neighbor and I'm sure that we can work together to get her tree trimmed without any hurt feelings about overstepping boundaries.

Good Morning Ladies: Nice morning and the babies and I had the super long walk. Yesterday was an awesome nap and not much else. I have a new addiction....FB cop videos of arresting Karens. I am investing way too much time. Today I have a list to complete!

Howdy!
There’s a bug going around my office and I caught it. I worked half a day yesterday (from home) and slept the other half. Today might be more of the same. Mom’s feeling great, though, so that’s a plus.
Have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies: Yesterday was half playing and half working (at home). Got a nice amount of my list done. Too bad the things I didn't want to do are still there...LOL Our book club luncheon is later at a beautiful dock side fishing place.

Good morning!
I got a bit done yesterday. The best part is that the refrigerators are purged of the gross food/science projects and there is not much left to worry about. I do have a grocery run before we leave, but that won't be until Saturday.
Tonight is opening night at the wooden bat league team we follow. I hope that the weather holds.
DS1 found a baseball game for us to go to while in Portland--The Portland Pickles!!! It's also a dog friendly night, so we will take all the pups, too!
I hope you all have a great day!

Greetings from Red Wing!
Yes, it is the town where that brand of footwear is made! I rode behind one of their facilities yesterday. My trip report is on Facebook.
Today I head to St. Paul. Weather looks okay. At least it’s cooler this morning, in the upper 50’s. Will get up to the 70s. Looks like more rain later today but hopefully I will be to my hotel before it arrives. Tomorrow will be very windy and of course I will be riding straight into it. Ugh. Good thing I got a lot of rest yesterday and last night.
I’m waiting for the Perkins restaurant to open at 6am to get breakfast. Then I will head out.
Have a great day!

Morning.
Lazy day yesterday. We were going to get out and water aerob. And I was going to get out and paint. Thunderstorms put the kibosh on both. So I napped.
Either yoga and/or a run tonight (today is national running day). And I will try to get something going on the eaves on the street side of the house. Having the side facing the street only partially painted is making me twitchy.

Hi, Clammy here, lots of rain in the overnight. Hoping it mostly clears out for a RosesWalk later, we haven't had one in several weeks. I'm making homemade pizza for late lunch today. Mmmmm. I'm stupidly happy that a pair of sandals that I used to own appeared on the Kohl's website e-mail today. My old pair bit the dust 2 summers ago, so I'm delighted to get a new pair! They're Baretrap brand, very comfy for the amount of walking I like to do.

Greetings from St. Paul!
Report from yesterday is on Facebook. The worst problem yesterday was that the soda machine was broke at Perkins. I had green tea instead. Finally got my Coke fix in Hastings at mile 21.
Heading out early this morning to minimize the miles riding in 20mph headwinds with gusts much higher. I had those conditions last year one day and it was very painful.
Have a great day!

Howdy!
I found my thermometer yesterday morning, and I didn’t have a fever so I went in to work. By afternoon I felt much, much better. That was a weird illness. I did some work things on Monday that I only vaguely remember doing, so I feel like I’ve been in a fog. Monday was also the day I spent dressed like it was winter because I could not get warm. When I mentioned that to one of my co-workers, she said she had the same thing the week before — absolutely freezing.
I cooked burgers on the grill last night. I’m so glad I got rid of my gas grill and went back to charcoal. Gas grills nowadays are better than they used to be, but it’s hard to beat the charcoal taste. It’s worth the 20 minute wait for the coals to get ready.
Have a good day!

Helloooo, friends! WI day: -2.3 lbs 🙂 Running total: -4.7 lbs Down into a new decade as well! 14 day tracking streak going. I'm tightening up my process a bit this week, so will be more mindful of portion measuring. Also going back to instituting my Nothing That's Not on the List, and Defer, Don't Deny methods of handling my food shopping and indulging.
I've way over-indulged myself enough with really bad choices to try to assuage my grief over my friend Liam, my Sweetie, and those magic owls. The Chips, Chocolate, Cheese, and Cherry Garcia plan I've been on was the old "stuffing my face, not facing my stuff" behavior from my past-making myself bigger did not make my problems smaller. (Can you tell I've dug out my Beck cards?) Anyway, hopefully my all-cliché team mantras will help me to continue with my forward and downward journey. It's looking like a lovely, not-ghastly humid day like yesterday, so I'm off on a birdabout shortly.
Roses and I were hot, sweaty messes yesterday on our walkabout, a few sprinkles would not have been unwelcome. Thanks for listening, always! ❤️

Morning.
I napped again after work. But got up early evening while it was still light out and nearly finished the street-side eave. It got too dark to see, so I had to stop. If I had gotten out even half an hour earlier, I could have finished it completely. That leaves the other side and the back to do. And the shed. The other shed (simple staining and minor cosmetic repair work) won't be tackled until everything is done on the house and the first shed. I will finish up the house, go over some of the spots that paint dribbled or places that the ladder kept me from getting, and clean up the tools and yard. I hope to be well on the way to that this weekend. All of that to say that I still ~still~ have not gotten my garden going, so I probably won't have any summer veggies of my own.
The scale has not been kind during this time though. I keep thinking that I will re re re start and it never really takes. I haven't been out to run in a week and I haven't tracked in forevah. I need to set a date and just put my shovel in the sand. With everything else, that just feels like too much though. I have been making sure that I'm drinking water and packing lunches. Now I just need to add one more thing. It will probably be almost July by the time I'm ready to actually move forward on it though.
ION I found a pair of sandals on the local FB bidding site that I won for $4. I need to pick them up this afternoon. I hope I like them!

Good Morning Ladies: Yesterday was a great day. Made some good progress on my list. Today me and the ladies are going you lunch at a Puerto Rician fancy pants place and I have no idea what to order. I'm just hoping they have some non-spicy stuff. Then, going to a matinee at Winter Park Playhouse. Then they will probably stop for dessert. I really need some cheesecake. Then I have to stop at Publix for meds and BOGO's of the week. Hope everyone has a great day.

Happy Thursday? I love not living by a calendar.
Baseball has been fun, even though the team has given up too many runs and left too many men on base. Hopefully they will come together soon.
I am going to work on my packing in a bit. I also need to do some more laundry.
GN is at a Mexican restaurant tonight. I will order something that I can get a couple of servings out of--fajitas, probably.
The dogs went to the vet yesterday and got a clean bill of health and are ready to travel to Portland!
I hope you all have a great day!
