It’s All Day Meeting Day! Wahooooo!

At least the end of the day is our white elephant gift exchange, which is an absolute hoot. My gift is a pair of socks that say, “THIS MEETING IS BULLSHIT!” We don’t usually have the holiday party on the same day as the company meeting, so I hope no one takes it as, “ALL DAY MEETINGS ARE BULLSHIT!” I’ll just smile and think that in my head.😝

Yesterday evening I had a video call with the furniture school’s board to see if I’m a good fit. Now I wait to find out. I thought it went really well. They told me one of the reasons they wanted me on the board is because I take lots of classes there and elsewhere. Hah! People laugh at all my classes, but here we are.

I’m tired and looking forward to the weekend. My plan is to not work at all. Now I need to find something to do.

Hello winter break!

Long day yesterday. I got the other set of exams graded and everything posted. Left campus around 5pm. Started getting serious about packing my gear then realized that I had a Zoom call at 7pm with the hiking club. It went really long as they are planning changes for two of the events. Of course they didn't get through the old business until 8:30pm. Then it was an hour+ to discuss the new stuff. Finally exited around 9:40pm when another board member had to get ready for work. I really messed up the kitties bedtime routine! And mine too. I finally was in bed at 10pm.

Woke up at 3:30am and decided to just get up. I can sleep long tonight when I'm up in Wisconsin. I'm about 70% packed. Just finishing up my morning chores and hope to be on the road by 6am. It is a 6+ hour, 430+ mile drive.

It is currently 5 degrees here and minus 15 degrees where I'm headed. The high is only supposed to be 1 degree. 14 degrees and sunny tomorrow. I have all the gear. My car is FULL!

Good Morning Ladies:
It is 39 here, but high winds and feels like middle 20's.....the babies were so cute in their jackets. Yesterday was a lot of fun. Today is wrapping, bank, grocery store and bills and chair aerobics. Zack is also here working for Christmas money.

Once I knew I didn't have to work extended hours, the day turned lazy. I went home and binged on old TV shows.

My sweater sleeves are coming along nicely. The front and back panels are done.
