Good morning dear friends and Happy Tuesday,
We've decided to drive to Cincinnati IKEA store today. It is only a couple of hour drive and will give us a quick get away. We hope to enjoy some fall color as well as buying somethings to help prepare the house for a spring sale, I have a "looking/buying" list. We will drive back tomorrow on different roads. Should be fun!
My gall bladder continues to heal nicely but I did over eat yesterday and it let me know it last night, just very uncomfortable.
What is everyone up to today's?? Hope you all have some fun and let the sun shine on your parade!
Peg

I had a good weight loss this week. I have increased my steps by 10%. Today is full of errands, dentist, recycling center, a trip to the grocery store, picking up grandsons after school, getting DH a birthday card and present and then card league tonight. Dinner is made and just needs reheating.
Have a great day. Lynn

Good morning everyone!
Peg, that sounds like a fun short trip. Enjoy! Being able to do things like that spontaneously is what DH and I miss most since becoming caregivers.
It's a beautiful day here, and in the 70s. I thought I was going to have to go to the grocery store this afternoon, as I suddenly seem to be out of so many things; but, DH stepped up and went and picked up a few essentials this morning. So I will wait and go tomorrow when it is senior discount day since I need to buy a lot. We also plan to go early vote tomorrow.
Have a lovely day!

DH is doing well... and the doctor he saw today is very impressed. I'm glad that he went to church on Sunday, went on a drive with me into the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge (saw mountains, buffalo, prairie dogs, long horns, deer -- but no elk this time). Monday I helped cook and serve a dinner at Food for Friends, we both went to another OLLI class on money & politics ... and then to an adult education committee meeting at church.

We have entered winter mode - temps in the 30's this morning. Today was the last in a month long series of Jewish holidays. I got up with good intentions of going to services only to have a flat tire indicator on the car. I took it to the mechanic and it was just low tire pressure all around. That took an hour so I missed almost half of the service this morning.
I have two more clients to finish up and then I am officially retired. I hope to get one of them done today and the other finished by the end of the week.
The back/hip problem continues to be painful. I visited a body worker yesterday who seems like he could help me. Unfortunately he does not have any appointments available now so I am on a waiting list. He gave me some stretches to do for now. I hope the waiting list does not turn out to be too long.
Michelynn - I hope your DH continues to improve.
Peg - Congrats on the hair. It must be good to feel more like your old self.
Waves to everyone.

Hi all, it's cold here! The colors are gorgeous though - seems we came at the right time. We're mostly not doing much. Ate dinner at a lovely restaurant overlooking Lake Erie. Everyone is working today so DH and I drove around a bit. DS is off tomorrow so we're planning to go to a state park.
