Good morning everyone,
We made it to the IKEA store in Cincinnati and three hours later we left with several items. DH doesn't usually shop very well but he did really well and I found myself waiting on him a couple of times, total reversal but fun! We then walked to a pizza place just down from our hotel. I was very careful with quantity I ate because of the grease...I actually left still a little hungry.....which I guess is a good thing.
Today we will take our time driving back home today. If the rain holds off we will probably stop at a state park, maybe even two.
i wish Joan would find her way back to us.....miss her posts and hope she and her family are doing AOK.
What is everyone up to today??
Not much sun available to shine on my parade today so I will be busy making my own.
Peg

Good morning friends. Today I will stop and have one of my headlights replaced. DH and I are heading to the cosmetology school for a hair cut- him- and eyebrow wax for me. Then off to Barnes and Noble for a couple of books. Leftovers for dinner- pumpkin meatloaf. We may go to the new Tractor Supply store in town. DH got a gift certificate for his birthday. It's cold but sunny today with rain moving in tonight. I will get in a walk today. Peg, have you decided to sell and downsize for sure? Such a big decision! Hello to all! Have a great day! Lynn

Good morning
Peg - It sounds like you are having a nice trip.
I am getting a haircut and then going to the dogwash to get the dog cleaned and manicured. Then I have a few chapters to read for my course that starts tomorrow. I haven't taken a formal course in years. I hope I like it.
Two more clients to finish up this week and then I am officially retired.
Have a good hump day!

Good morning everyone!
As usual, it sounds like you are all busy. Peg, hope the rain will hold off so you can stop at the state parks.
DH and I are going to vote this morning. The polls will open at 10:00, and I'm hoping the line will not be too long but know it will definitely be shorter than will be on the actual election day. SO ready to have this election over and done with!
Joan, as Peg said you are missed. Hope all is well with you and that you just are too busy to post.
Lynn, pumpkin meatloaf is a new one on me. I can't quite imagine those flavors together. Can you share the recipe?
Esther, what course are you taking? You may have told us, but if so I missed it.
Maryenne and Michelynn, waving to you both. Everyone have a lovely day!

Joyce, I use a small sugar pumpkin. Hallow it out, Cut the top off first- LOL! Make your favorite meatloaf, stuff into the pumpkin and bake for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. We count ours into four pieces, protein and a vegetable all in one. Roasted pumpkin tastes just like winter squash, butternut. Last night we had it with green beans, salad and a small potato. It will be even better tonight. I love leftover meatloaf! Lynn

Hmmm. Pumpkin meatloaf. Sounds interesting and attractive.
I enjoy walking around IKEA. Have only bought a few small items from them.
Taking Thursday and Friday off as vacation days. Tomorrow going with a friend to a couple quilt shops. Just a little roadtrip and Friday I hope to do a little fall cleanup in the yard and clean out a closet.
Have a nice evening.
Janice
