Good morning! We're leaving later this morning and driving as far as Cincinnati.
Off to fix coffee...

Good morning. Just got afternoon of coffee and will read a bit of the newspaper online. I dropped my paper subscription and only have online.
Made crock pot onion soup yesterday. It turned out very nicely so that will be lunch today.
Back to work tomorrow. I have done a number of chores around the house so that feels good. Need to do a few more today.
Have a relaxing Sunday

Janice, I like reading the paper online, too, but DH insists on the paper version.

Good morning all,
Sorry I didn't see the thread so I started it again.....hope everyone will find there way here.
Maryenne, safe travels today!
Janice, my DH reads the paper online during the week but we actually get the paper delivered on weekends. He commented the other day that he has quit reading online as he misses the actual paper, easier to know you have seen all of it.
I will try to copy my other post here! I tried once with no luck!
Waving to everyone!

Good morning everyone!
Joyce, how is DS doing??
Maryene, safe travels today. Hope your weather is great!
Yesterday I got a really good start to the final step on the snowmen....putting them all together. I have one completely finished and know the actual lengths of wire and ribbons needed. The rest will go much faster! HURRAY!!
We did take a drive to look for available lots in established neighborhoods. One possible area has about 6 lots which was a good find and we've started drafting an email to the real estate we want to use for selling our house.
Today I imagine we will go out for our usual lunch and then hit Lowe's for deck paint and Target for groceries. I cleaned out the spice shelf earlier pitching outdated items so my list includes about 10 spices that need to be replaced. We need one more small bag of candy for Halloween too.
Waving to everyone, what are you up to today??

Good morning everyone! Peg, thanks for asking about my step-son. It did turn out to be Bells Palsy, and he is home on steroids and other meds. We're hoping he will be one of the lucky ones that it clears up quickly, but there is no way to know. It can last from days to months. Just very grateful that it was not a stroke. Yesterday DH and I drove up to see him and then stopped at a farmers' market on the way home. We bought some sour dough bread and a couple of butternut squash. I have one of the squash baking in the oven now. It's a beautiful day here with sunshine. Highs in the mid-80s. After such a wet summer, we are having an extremely dry fall. Nothing special is planned here today. I do need to do a load of laundry and wash DH's favorite work shirt. Tomorrow morning we close on our newest rental property, so immediately after the closing DH will be headed out of town to begin preparing the house for renting. He won't actually do much of the work, but will do some himself. Mostly he'll be arranging the work, buying the supplies, etc. It will have to be painted throughout, and new carpet installed in the bedrooms. We're taking out the carpet there now and putting laminate down in the living room, dining room, hallway, and den. Not sure about the kitchen, but odds are the vinyl will need to be replaced there as well. So I expect that DH will be out of town a big part of next week. Our son-in-law manages all the properties, but DH likes to oversee this stuff himself. Keeps him occupied! It's a nice house in a good location, so should rent easily even though this is not the time of year people typically choose to move. Wishing each of you a lovely day!

I'm starting again on homework for remodeling our kitchen... any suggestions? I know that I want a gas cooktop instead of the electric range that died. Also new sink, counters, cabinets, etc.

Good evening all. Michelynn, I second the gas stove! Our new sink is stainless steel with one oversized deep well. I love the high crook neck faucet with pull down sprayer. Have fun with the renovation! Joyce, glad to hear that the medical news on your stepson was not worse. Peg, your snowmen project sounds like it is near completion! Safe travels Maryenne. Waving to Esther and Janice and anyone else I may have missed. I am feeling the effects of all the raking and pruning yesterday. My shoulders and wrists ache! Have a good evening. Lynn
