Good morning!
Michelynn, so exciting about your flute concert!
We voted and shopped for groceries yesterday. Today I'm staying in to catch up on laundry, floors, etc.
Happy Friday!

Sorry Maryenne.....we were both creating the thread at the same time....here is my post!
Good morning friends!
Yesterday was a productive day but we found that we have a foundation problem under our laundry room. We had issues over 10 years ago and that has a lifetime guarantee so hopefully that will cover this too. We will call the company to get someone here sooner than later. I also spoke with an old friend from our bank about financing a lot purchase and home construction, lots of great info. So now we have a good idea as to how to proceed.
Today is lunch with our usual group which should be a lot of fun as we haven't met for here weeks.
The sun is up bright this morning. I hope it will shine bright on all of our parades today. Please remember to shine bright for others.
Peg

Good morning friends. I am running errands with my sister before heading up to Massachusetts. I am waiting for her at the hair salon right now. Then we will head out for a couple of stops before I drive her back home. Peg, I hope you are able to resolve the foundation issues. Maryenne, enjoy your cleaning spree! The production of The King and I was superb! The Broadway series is awesome, many national tour start out in Providence. We are so fortunate to see the quality of the shows that we do at a fraction of Broadway prices! Have a great day. Lynn

Good morning everyone!
I didn't make it here yesterday because I had to unexpectedly take my dad in to see the doctor and to have x-rays and an ultrasound. His big toe on his right foot has turned dark purple, is swollen, numb and has blisters all over it. Just all happened totally with no warning. He has neuropathy so doesn't have good feeling there anyway, and I thought he had probably injured it somehow as I know he had stumbled the day before but didn't fall. Turns out it does not seem to be injured, but instead the ultrasound showed "significant vascular changes." Evidently it is a blood flow issue which I find scary to contemplate what could be the ramifications of that. His doctor is making us an appointment with a vascular specialist. Just seems there is a new issue all the time, and my dad already has so many serious health issues. Trying to tell myself not to think about the unknown possibilities, and wait to hear what the vascular doctor actually has to say.
Wishing you all a lovely day.

Can I crow a little? I paid off our mortgage this morning! I knew we were close, so I called the mortgage company to ask. I was shocked at how little we owed so I went ahead and paid it. And, I'm proud that I paid off a 30-year mortgage in 17 years!

Michelynn - Enjoy your flute again. We will all be rooting for you.
Joyce - I hope your father's toe is treatable. One day at a time.
I am officially done with work. I am on my way out to mail the last package of forms. I am passing on files tonight to another bookkeeper. I have enough volunteer commitments to feel like I am still doing plenty of work.
Have a great weekend everyone.
