Good morning!
Esther, super congratulations on your first day of retirement!!!
I don't have any concrete plans today. Might get out into the sunshine for a bit.

Hi all,
Esther, congratulations on retirement!! As I told Maryenne yesterday, you too need to celebrate this milestone. Do something special for yourself.
I enjoyed lunch yesterday with the usual retired group but I sat too long.
Today we have a group of volunteers coming from a couple different churches to rake leafs and clean out the gutters so I am already presentable and not still in my jams as usual. We have no idea as to the time they will be here. We've never participated in this so who knows? With that said I am sure we will be spending a lot of time outside. Otherwise no plans for today!
Waving to everyone and wishing you all a great Saturday.
Peg

Good morning!
Esther, I join everyone else in congratulating you on your retirement! Yes, you should do something very special for yourself.
It's a beautiful day here, and the temperature is going to be in the low 70s. Feels more like fall, which I guess it should since it is already November. Don't forget daylight savings time ends tonight. Personally, I wish we would just stay on DST year round.
I'm encouraged this morning about my dad. While the discoloration has spread a little, the big toe where it originally began looks better, I think. It's not such a dark purple, but getting lighter in color. I'm hoping that is a good sign, as I have been so worried that he might end up losing that toe or even his foot. The doctor's office called with his appointment with the vascular specialist, but it's not until next Friday. I wish we could see him sooner, but I guess it is what it is. Maybe this is not going to be as severe as I have feared, but I know it can't be good that his circulation in that leg has become so poor.
I need to pick up a few items at the grocery store today, but other than that it should be a quiet day. DH is still out of town, but pleased with the remodel progress. He did come home overnight to get more of his medication. Not sure when he will be back, but expecting probably on Tuesday.
Have a lovely day and a lovely weekend everyone!

Good morning friends. We drove up to MA yesterday. Beautiful drive, the leaves are gorgeous! We will do some cleaning and purging of a few more boxes. We will be moving a bed back to RI Monday. Election on Tuesday. I have a sick feeling that the negativity will continue regardless of who wins the election. Next week we have company for a couple of days. Then we will get ready for our fall visit to New Hampshire. Peg, how nice the taking program sounds. You will get your steps in today. Maryenne, enjoy your sunshine. Ours seems to be missing right now! Have a great day. Lynn
