Over 60 & Still Working/Sunday

Good morning all!!

Our weather is glorious this morning.  With the time change last night I was up well before 7 so I made some cherry scones for breakfast.....total yum.  I used our last cherries so I may just have to order more.

THe volunteers did a great job raking leafs.  It was great to get them cleaned up knowing full well that we will probably have at least that many yet again.

I have no idea what we will be doing today.  We really need to go looking at lots.  I got the paper work together that the bank wants to approve us for a land purchase so I can get that delivered tomorrow.  We are going to have to wait over a week for a foundation check.  This week I need to line up a painter for us. 

What is everyone up to today??

Good morning!

So far I've been sitting here drinking coffee, but I guess I will eventually do things that I put off yesterday. Back to the office tomorrow after 2.5 weeks, so I need to get my head in gear. No travel until early January and then two trips to DC and maybe one to San Diego in February.

Good morning! It's a lovely day here too, but we have no special plans.

DD called while I was at the grocery yesterday and asked me to help her search for a new toy (a Hatchimal) that DGD (5) is consistently saying she wants Santa to bring her. She was out shopping and had been to her local Toys-R-Us, Target, and WalMart only to find they were already all sold out. So I thought it would be no problem to find one in the Nashville area. Wrong! They are sold out everywhere, even all the online places despite the fact the toy wasn't introduced until some time in October and it is only early November. Online places won't even back order for you. The toy normally sells for $49.99, but I found where some people now have them listed online for $200 and up. Geez! So I'll keep searching along with DD and maybe we'll luck up when some store gets in a new shipment, but they aren't even telling you when to expect them. Every year it looks like there is some "must have" toy, and unfortunately this year it seems to be the one thing that DGD continually says she wants.

Esther, hope you celebrated your retirement yesterday!
