Over 60 and Still Working/Monday

Good morning all!

Well, it's back to work for me today but it's also a four-day week due to Veterans Day Friday.

DH's ex-brother in law died last week while we were away. They had remained close over the years. The service will be next Saturday near Orlando. I'm not going with him because we don't want to leave the cats again so soon, and also because my car may be ready at the end of the week and I'll need to drive almost to Atlanta to get it. Hopefully the timing will work out so that DH is able to go with me.

Good morning everyone!

Maryenne, do you feel rested and ready to get back into your working routine?? Hope everything will work out the way you hope for getting your car back.

Well ladies the deck is painted!! I finished it up yesterday while DH went to an urgent care to get something for his nose that literally wouldn't stop running. Today I will use a small craft brush to touch up small spots where we touched the white railing with the deck board paint color, not a lot but it will complete the job!! Hurray!! Otherwise I have a lot of errands to run.

Today is supposed to be our last 70 degree weather for who knows how long.

Good morning friends.
We head back to RI today. We are bringing back a bed for the guest room in RI. So we need to break that down and pack it up on the truck this morning.
Tomorrow we will vote, how I wish we had signed up for absentee ballots!
We have company Wednesday and Thursday. Then I am not sure what is going on for the weekend.
Peg, it must feel good to have the deck done!
Maryenne, sorry to hear of DH's loss. A short work week is a great re-entry after a long vacation. Hope it's uneventful!

What name change?

Yesterday's all saints memorials at church were really beautiful. And perhaps it was particularly moving because a dear friend who has been ill for a very long time passed a week ago tomorrow.

Good morning and Happy Monday!

Nothing special going on in our world today. The home health nurse came and showed me how to take care of my dad's foot now that the biggest blister has begun seeping fluid. Really anxious for him to see the vascular doctor on Friday.

Other than the nurse's visit this morning, there is nothing else on the agenda for our day. I do need to do some laundry, and a few chores like that.

Monday and temps in the 30's this morning. The leaves are still bright so it doesn't look like November yet.

I am reading for my course and practicing my new treble Renaissance flute. Then I am going to take the dog for a walk in the woods. A nice way to spend my day.

Remember when we were asking about a new name for this place? It wasn’t forgotten, I got busy and unfortunately, I’m the one that needs to do it. But there was a clear winner and the new name for this place is going to be:

In order to give people time to hear about this and make adjustments, the change will be done on November 12, 2016 and for two weeks after that date, the site will redirect you to the new name if you haven’t updated your links (yes clean your cache and cookies after the change!) and after that, you won’t be redirected but you will get a message that the board has moved. Everything will still be the same, except both the name at the top of the page will be
