Over 60 & Still Working/Thursday

Good morning,

I didn't actually fix the pot roast yesterday as the house cleaners were here so I didn't want to occupy the island with it.  I will be doing that today though.  I did fix an angel food cake dessert recipe with a home made peach pie filling.  It is pretty good and WW friendly, just needs more of the peach filling.

Well today we are off to Indianapolis to see the eye surgeon for my DH's 6 month check.  That will occupy most of the day.

We went looking at lots again yesterday and will go back tomorrow and actually walk the one we're interested in and we have a meeting set up with our possible builder next Wed.  We are definitely getting closer to decision time!!  Exciting and yet nervous.....what will the election do to the economy??

Can you all believe Thanksgiving is two weeks from today??  Any plans yet??

Good afternoon friends.
We have had separate visits from DS and DD2 today as well as DGGD. And I got my hair done this morning. No sign of the company yet but this is how DH's family rolls! They will show up at some point!
Planning the packing for Wednesday's trip to New Hampshire.

Esther, I thought of you recently when my grandson was telling us about how therapy dogs were brought in to his school following a student's sudden death. I just had a crazy idea that all schools should have resident therapy dogs!

Good evening all.

Been super busy. Wish I had the stamina I had 10 years ago!

Kansas weather has been wonderful. Have not turned on furnace as yet.

I have noticed that the resident therapy dogs at nursing homes/retirement centers age very rapidly. Was told they care so deeply for the residents that they are under a lot of stress. Also heard they don't get enough sleep as they are interacting with people all day. Don't know that there is any proof of either thought.
