Over 60 and Still Working/Friday

Good morning! Big storms here today, tornado watch, power is out. My morning student cancelled, but I'll still do the afternoon class, if we don't blow away. Thank goodness the coffee perked before the lights went out.

Lynn and Esther, hope you are both looking forward to a good weekend.

It's cooler here today and only supposed to be mid-70s before going back up tomorrow. I did get my haircut yesterday, and we bought the monkey grass for edging the patio bed. We've decided to do Break-Out roses and some other (not sure what yet) perennial in that bed. Today we're going to see about getting those things. Tomorrow and Sunday I don't want to be anywhere near the plant nurseries as they will likely be packed with people.

Well, turns out we had 3 tornadoes this morning. Downtown and all around are a mess. I've cancelled the afternoon class. I just went outside and couldn't see anything damaged, so it appears to have missed us. But it just started raining again. The cats are not happy. DH is reading in bed.

nashville11 , your gardening project sounds lovely! DH wanted to go to the garden center to get the barrels for the end of the driveway. We’ll either do it today or next week when we come back. Tomorrow and Sunday are not the days to go anywhere near it!

Esther, I hope your friend is doing better.

DH and I are here in the Berkshires for a quick weekend, then about a week in RI before being back up here for the summer- most of the time. We’ll go back once a week or so to check on the progress of things.

The only thing I have to do is enter my grades today. Have a peaceful day. Lynn
