Good morning,
I'm having Cheerios with strawberries this morning along with my coffee. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day and a little warmer, too. I'm writing Postcards to Voters today but nothing else planned. I will walk them down to the mailbox soon.

Good morning!
Maryenne, Cheerios are my favorite cereal and having them with strawberries sounds very good. You reminded me I should put some Cheerios on my grocery list. Good for you in being so faithful about doing the voter postcards!!
Yesterday I did start my walking back as I work on my new health goals. I signed up to use the walking track at the church near me. When we went first during the morning we couldn't use the track because it turned out Vacation Bible School was going on, so we went back in the afternoon. Normally during the week it's open 7 to 7 unless something special is happening. Nick went with me, and he walked 1/2 mile. I did a mile, but it was a painful mile. Today though I don't think my knee is any worse for it. Nick is not happy that I am walking so much on it, however. He thinks it may be bad for it. So I have a call in to my ortho doctor's nurse to ask about whether walking is ok or not. Maybe that will ease his worry, and I wouldn't want to do any further damage to the knee. I won't be walking today anyway as VBS is still going on in the morning and I have a haircut this afternoon. By the time I finish with everything people will be getting off work and I expect it might be crowded then. I'd rather go when it's quiet. There were only 3 other walkers there when I went yesterday, so it didn't matter if I was walking slowly.
Waving to Lynn and Esther! I hope each of you will have a wonderful day!

Hi Joyce, I hope you hear back from your doctor that walking is OK for your knee.
I walked to the mailbox with one stack of postcards and then realized that I forgot the other stack, so I walked it twice. LOL

I did talk to the doctor's nurse, and she said that the walking will be good for my knee with the arthritis and it will not make the torn meniscus any worse. In fact, she said that it will help strengthen my leg muscles which will be helpful in recovering after surgery. So that relieved Nick, and he's not worrying about it now.

Good morning! We got a lot done in RI the last couple of days. Kitchen flooring narrowed down to four choices- I am having the kids weigh in on what they think. DD2 and DGD helped with paint choice- going with a soft gray. We finalized the cabinet placement. Just the hardware left to pick out. Today we are going to visit my sister in law at her daughter’s house. She is glad to be out of the Florida heat for a couple of days. Tonight we’ll watch the Celtics play. Their coach is a RI guy- his father was the head of our inter scholastic league and I had the privilege of knowing him as our school was usually in the playoffs and I had to meet with him prior to the games. He was a nice man, very pro-kid and all about the teams. It seems his son has followed in his footsteps in that manner. Joyce, good idea to check with the ortho. maryenne , nice way to get more steps! Waving to Esther. Have a peaceful day. Lynn
