Good morning friends!
It's a nice quiet morning here, but so hot! I went out on the porch around 9 pm last night to look at the moon, and the heat even at that time drove me right back in. I went out again this morning early and it was almost as hot. UGH. No breeze at all this morning.
I'll be at the downtown library this afternoon volunteering at a family event to help families get their kids ready for school. Not sure exactly what I'll be doing, but at least it will be cool there.
Joyce, I looked at the reviews for the Nicolle Wallace book and it didn't grab my interest.

Good morning!
DD submitted her exam and we’ll go to brunch in a little bit. Right now I am enjoying my coffee and finishing up laundry. We had a couple of thunderstorms roll through last night. No need to water the garden today.
DH wants to drive down to FL to see his nephew. We’ll take a look at the schedule the next few weeks. I have a laser procedure on July 3 for the glaucoma. That seems to be the only thing we have going on before the end of the month. DH wants to support his sister and we’ll coordinate our visit with his brother’s so she isn’t inundated with family.
We have a couple of errands to do this morning. DH needs a new belt, so we’ll go to Marshalls. I got a cute hanging plant yesterday, so we’ll need to relocate a sheep’s crook to accommodate it. I’m also moving a couple of houseplants outside for the summer. I may need to get another outside plant stand. When we went to the garden center yesterday DH got a telescoping pruner. It will keep him busy around the property.
We have had a lovely visit with DD. We’ll take her to Albany tomorrow for her flight back to Texas.

Maryenne, I'd love to meet up with you sometime when we come to Florida. We don't have anything planned now, but we might possibly come down this fall. I'll keep you posted to see if maybe we could work something out to get together.

We have a lovely breeze, but temperature is supposed to go to 96 with feels like at well over 100. There is a nice breeze blowing right now though. Dd and family texted they got home about 12:30 last night. I'm sure they're tired as that's a long drive, but they all had a wonderful time. Our day will be spent quietly staying in the cool. On the good news front I can tell the injection is helping my knee. Maybe within a few days it will feel pretty much normal, and this new steroid has been kind to my blood sugar also. Now to also get my blood pressure back in line and I will practically be a new woman. I have some pork stew meat I need to use and a WW recipe for pork paprikash, so think I will cook that today. Stay cool!
