Ok, I’m sure we could all use a break from politics!
It’s time for a quick WLJ conversation. DH and I are staying in a vacation condo for a few weeks here in Montana. It has a small kitchen, but we are mostly eating out. We make coffee, breakfast and lunch, but for dinner we will go out or pick up from one of the local restaurants. We are hiking (and plain walking) a lot. We aren’t keeping any junk food in the condo. And, there is no scale here! So I can’t do a weekly weigh in. I have no idea what my weight will be when I get home. But for now, it’s kind of fun to step off of this particular carousel! My suspicion is that the increased exercise, combined with the zero ability to gorge on junk food will end up being a good thing.
How’s everyone else doing ? And Holly, when is your DH’s medical appointment? Can you give us an update? Thanks

I agree with your assessment. You would also notice if your pants were getting snugger, etc. You are probably doing fine. I think the exercise counts for a lot which segues into where I am.
I am amazed at how I can keep to IF. I eat zero at night, no problem. Like on any program the weight loss is not steady, but that's the way it is IRL. I would like to get a little more into exercise bu tI do at least some strength training and some days my steps are up there. Would like to work on those other days and would also like to get one the floor for some yoga stretches, both because I need it and to prepare myself for "summer camp".

DH's appointment with his attending physician got moved. That's all I know at the moment. He still has the August appointment for the cognitive testing... Also, he was ill (similar to what I had) and that's over (baruch hashem). And he had a less-than-one-day God-only-knows-what the morning we left Oregon (last Thursday) and it was cleared up well before we got home (another baruch hashem moment).
For a few months, my weight stayed between 1 pound below goal and 2. When I got home from the week in Oregon, it steadily climbed. It's been less than 1 pound over goal since Friday and I'm still a happy camper. (I confess: it felt better when my jean shorts were just a teeny bit looser...)

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all well and SAFE! Please pray for Israel.
Re today's topic: Since I am on a pre-colonoscopy/endoscopy juice fast, I am down three and a half pounds from yesterday. Of course, it will probably come back as soon as I start eating normally again, but it's still nice to see the scale show this big loss.
Have a peaceful day, Lee

My weight is going down slowly, slowly, but surely. I'm less worried about it than I used to be, probably because I'm more connected to my overall health. Regular exercise makes a huge difference to my head.
