Hi all!
Faye, Thanks for getting us started on a new week.
Back to work today after a disappointing week off, but at least I am feeling healthy so I am thankful. I only have until May 30th and then I will not be needed in the office so much due to our associate dentist leaving. I am looking forward to the extra time. There is much to be done at home that has been put off and of course I am looking forward to more barn time too.

Good Morning All! Amy - glad you are finally feeling better and that more barn time is in your future! Faye - enjoy your class!
Mother's Day without kid(s) around is just another day - DH & I went to a local seafood place for lunch - had a fantastic lobster roll meal & Chowda! Was so full that I never had dinner (ok - I did have some cake & ice cream around 7PM!)
This morning dropped off glass for yet another shop in a big tourist/vacation area -hope this one does better than the others
Raining here again -but -after today we will finally have warmth & sun - looking forward to riding more than one day in a row!

Hello Lovelies! Happy Mothers Day to you all! I hope it was enjoyable whatever you did! Someone asked what I do... I'm and IT Project Manager at a big bank. I do my 40hrs... plus work nights. More nights now than when I hired on 7yrs ago, and more projects too. Sure pay is pretty good, vacation time is great. But I'm getting burn out. Got a new boss this year.. she's more a manager than a leader. I'm an adult, I can manage myself... but a Leader would be great. So learning curve there of course. So, Interview tomorrow at 10am local. Fingers crossed! I don't really want to leave this company -they kinda have me hooked now with long term benefits and I'd like to retire early in 10years. So trying to build wealth right now. Yes- brushing Ally is Me time Not arguing that. I think I'm just pissed that I manage our son while DH does his thing... and I get to manage our son while I do my thing. Uh hello- didn't think you were just a sperm donor. And yes, I ask him nicely... I asked so nicely yesterday while DS napped, I got to go our and build my cross fence. careful what one asks for! haha.. In the pouring rain - but hey! It's done!

AMY-have a good day at work. soon you'll have more time for you (and Lukas!) DUTCH-best of luck on the interview. sorry about the DH watching DS issue. Pity, he misses out. When DD was little I worked on Sunday and DH and DD had their "date"-mini golf and lunch. Maybe put it that way, Father son bonding. BARB-good luck with the new shop. hope pieces sell. Wednesday supposed to be close to 90 and today breezy (and a bit chilly). BETH-how's the hay garden? are all the seedlings planted CATHY-sorry about DB's painting. maybe just put it aside and do your own thing, might get you back in the mood. LIBBY-how are Lucy and Rosie doing? Rosie glad to be back home? hope the drywall is sanded and you can finish up soon.
Mother's day was lovely even with cancelling brunch. Went to DD and helped her with laundry and around the apartment and then ordered chinese in for dinner. she's back at the Dr. today, coughing a lot. hope he can give her something. At Pilates today a woman said she had the same thing. was really down for the count.
Got another 2 gigs for August. so very happy with that. ONe show and one background (place I was just at and they are just lovely). other place is also a previous client in town. So hope this continues.
Waving to all. HAGD

Hi, all! Faye, that is wonderful about the extra gigs! You are becoming a "thing" (in a good way)! So nice of you to take care of DD; hope the dr can give her something to sleep to help get better. I had my mom listen to me playing Chanter's and she said "that would put me to sleep...can't you play it loud and soft?" Why do I bother at all? Dutch, good luck with the job interview...would it still be in banking? I don't know if you're like me but I've been in the same industry forever. Sometimes I think I can take my skills to other industries, but then it's hard to get into something new. Sorry about DH not involving himself w/DS. Hope you can get him more involved. Barb, good luck with the new location for your glass work. Hopefully, with more traffic you'll make more sales...you're stuff is so lovely, it should sell like hotcakes! Amy, won't that be nice, having more time at the barn...sigh. It sounds wonderful! Glad you're feeling well enough to rejoin the living Beth, sounds like a busy Mom's day...glad you had time to visit both "sets" Yeah, too much food yesterday. Brother's turkey enchiladas, and then I brought big cookies and ice cream to make ice cream sandwiches (saw it on FB). WAY too much food...had ginger tea when I got home to help with the full tummy. Today will try again to get the orthotics and the camera. They are on opposite sides of the city so we'll see...depends on traffic. Cathy

Good afternoon. Got some more plantings into some more bales and planted some pre seeds into peat cups. Walking this morning was very pleasant.

The rain has finally stopped - ! now if the mud will only dry up- it is so deep it is literally up to my ankles (yes, i have tall boots!) And Penny's legs are just filthy -I hose them off every day -but then she has to walk thru the mud to get into the shed so it's kind of like locking the barn door.....
Have a good evening all!

Good Morning! The sun is out! Trotting thru - off to trudge thru the mud, weed wack some stinging nettle bushes at the pasture gate (I asked BM to do it -but since his middle name is "tomorrow" it's easier for me to do it & not get stung!) And then lunge & ride!

Good morning. DH has an appt to get an injection in his knee today. then run some errands while in town. My walk this morning was nice and cool. Reminded me of when I was training my show horses. I used to try to ride very early before the heat set in.

Today is suppose to be the last day of rain for a little while! So sick of rain! My arena is a pond! I guess I live in the NW, yet this has been a record breaking rain winter/spring. Going to take the dogs to the vet, go look at quartz countertops and go out to dinner with friends from Yuma. HAGD everyone!

Hi, all! Libby and Dutch, agree that this has been the wettest year that I can remember in a LONG time. They water district told us we can water 3x a week now! Whoo-hoo! Faye, maybe it's just the way my mom says things, it always seems like a complaint and not a compliment. I know we have issues, doesn't every mother /daughter relationship . Barb, how nice of you to get rid of the nettles...nasty things! Enjoy the ride if you can get Penny out of the mud! Beth, glad you getting in your walks again. Is the injection for DH's knee a regular thing? Hi to Amy! Called the contractor to finish the drywall in the garage. Lets see how long this takes Got the orthotics and the camera yesterday! Was supposed to rain today but the sun is out, so I guess I'll try to swim today. Wdlkjal;dfjka;slfkj. Sorry, keyboard is slow. Work is asking me to get certification on the system that we work in, but unfortunately I haven't been in there much in the last 3 years. I see lots of reading in my future and it's not exciting. Is the injection for DH's knee a regular thing? No. This is the 2nd time he's had an injection. Dr. told him if he came in again that DH would need an MRI.

Hi all,
Faye- glad you are getting lots of harp gigs. fun! (except for maybe toting the harp)
Cathy- your cat has an interesting voice. (FB). that was your cat right?
Libby- hope the kitchen is moving along for you.
Dutch- Best of luck with the job hunt.
Beth- glad you are back to morning walks, hope DH injection goes well.
Barb- I know about just doing things yourself, sometimes it is just easier? Seems like you are getting more riding in so that is nice!
I got the afternoon off and stopped by the nursery for some annuals. It is amazing to me how many pots I can plant with just one flat. I got 3 different kinds of marigolds for the patio to keep the deer from eating them. I also bought 2 bigger pots of yellow flowers for the big pots flanking the front door and One red, white and purple hanging basket too.
The plant beds around the property really need some attention but if I think about all I need to do it makes me want to give up so I am trying to focus on one area at a time. I am more likely to get the job done if I just do it in sections. I have found I am not a "spend the entire day and get it all done" type when it comes to gardening.
Riding lesson tomorrow!

painter coming today to prime walls Starting to feel like there may be an end to this remodel- lol, then we will have to get a new roof for the house and barn. Was going to wait till next year--it's not going to wait ;( we had a couple very small leaks- not from the skylights, from the guys walking on the roof and disturbing shingles, then the heavy rain storms and wind. Then I would like to be done with home projects for a long while!! Rosie's allergies are weird this year, the missing fur and skin breaks are only on the left side of her face. She's on medication, which she doesn't like of course! Her weight is slowly getting better. Lucy had no reaction from the shot I gave her on Friday, so I'm encouraged to give them their shots myself, ordering from Jeffers next year. With Lucy I will buy each vaccine separately and give 2 weeks apart. Today is the first day of a 10 day no rain forecast! I can start weeding my entryway and my rose garden which has been ignored! Faye; I hope your dd isn't too ill (not serious) Barb; is your mud drying out? Is Penny getting the crud on her legs from all the dampness? My girls are Amy; I'm going to join your attitude of taking one section at a time on the property here. It's only an acre and 1/2, yet feels like 10 sometimes! I'm going to make a plan and write it down-that way I don't feel that overwhelming I want to move feeling! I'm glad your feeling better! Dutch; did you get an interview or just drop an application in? It's really hard to change jobs! More power to you! Beth; hope the injection helps your dh. I got one in my elbow about 2 weeks ago and it is amazing! Cathy; I finally got an ortho appointment on this Friday with an ankle/foot specialist. It's only 3 miles from my house! So excited to start getting a better plan for my feet Hope your getting some sun. Your kitty's pretty persistent with that meowing lol - doing some CE for my nursing license this morning, I feel your "lots of reading in my future" comment! Mine has to be done before the first week of June! HAGD everyone!

Hi, all! Amy, thanks for the info on Faye. Yes, that was my cat. She's pretty deaf and I think she's just louder than she used to be. She sits at the top of the stairs, maybe for echo effect? They say to get big jobs done you should break it down into manageable tasks so you are doing the right thing! The flowers sound lovely...I need to do something with the front porch, just cant decide yet Libby, yay on the dr appointment. Hope they can provide a good plan for you foot/ankle. Oh, so close! I hope the painters get there and get done soon! Roofs are a big $$...good luck with that. 1.5 acres is a lot. I had a small lot in San Jose and it still felt huge! I guess we'll get "certified" together Could Rosie's one sidedness be from something she does? Like stand somewhere in the sun or something? Barb, glad the bugs aren't out yet! You're really getting a lot of glass work done...love all the photos on FB! Beth, hope the chiro can help the crick in your neck! Hi to Dutch and Faye! I guess the drywall contractor and I are going to play phone tag for a couple of days, happened the last time as well. Got to swim yesterday, pool was chilly for me (was last week too) so came prepared with my rash guard. Helps me keep warm. Will probably walk today. Cathy

Dutch; did you get an interview or just drop an application in? I had already applied for the job - it's with same company, just different department. I had the phone interview yesterday with HR. I know the job is over my head- but HR has no real clue. She's forwarding my info to the hiring manager. I will do that interview if I'm called. Heck, I'm willing to learn something. Hi all!

Hi all, Lukas and I had our lesson outside today along with Jane and her horse Quaid. Lukas was a little sassy but overall it went well. Trainer always challenges us. Jane and I go out to lunch afterwards and discuss the lesson and laugh at ourselves a bit, it is fun.
I am still feeling a little low energy but not sick.

Good morning. We go to extremes in weather here. Yesterday morning it was 63 and cool. This morning it was 73, sticky muggy and I was sweating a lot when I finished my walk. Now it's raining.
DH's knee is feeling better today. My neck is somewhat better but I have another appt tomorrow. I love my chiropractor. He has kept me going without having to have surgery. I have severe arthritis in my neck (due to a bad fall from a horse I had back in 1984) and any other orthopedic surgeon would have probably wanted to do a fusion or more. I have used him more than 15 years. Prior to that I used another chiropractor who was very good too. That one treated the initial condition.

Hi, all! Faye, glad DD is doing OK, a lot of folks are definitely getting hit with this bug. What a nice mommy you are, to go in at midnight to take care of her! Take care of yourself, too! Beth, it's nice to have a good chiropractor that can keep you out of surgical hands! I tried a couple of sessions after a neck spasm but it was sort of weird for me, the chiro was my exSILs. Maybe it was because I had to pay so much out-of-pocket? Good that DH is feeling better as well. Dutch, nothing wrong with learning new stuff...it makes life more fun! Amy, sounds like your lesson plan is great...especially the follow-up lunch Sorry you're still struggling with energy. Hi to Barb and Libby (did you pick out a countertop?). I guess I should try to call contractor again...I hate this stuff. If I don't hear from him soon, I will call the claims adjuster (like that will make any difference). Hope to swim today. Cathy
