Good Morning all,
Another gray and rainy day here. We have high winds moving in around noon then storms rolling through tonight. Ugh! Not impressed.
Joseph made it back to his home about midnight. He texted me then I went right to sleep. Ha!
I did scrub the shower and got the towels washed then my washer died. It is seven years old have had no trouble with it. Doug is going to take it apart this morning and see if it is worth fixing. It is so expensive to fix these newer washer that we may just buy a new washer so far the dryer is fine.I will go count then we will start on this project.
It did not take me long to get the house put back together from Easter. I think I will leave my decorations up till first of May.
Lauren will you do an implant or a bridge?
SueCA how did the talk go with the guy that already works at the course. Hope he is a good fit.
Terrie hope your boss can hold on to the business a few more years.
Annie Bless your heart what a day you had. Glad everyone took all the delays so well. I do the same thing so don't feel bad.
Peggy you and Sue have a good visit tonight.
Barb glad you had a good Easter. Hope you can slow down a bit now as Tracy gets settled in.
Goal for today: journal, fluids,
Activity for today: walking
Yesterday's achievement/struggle: A got lots of cleaning caught up and exercise class S washer breaking.

Good Morning Cafe Friends,
I am feeling refreshed right now. Let's hope that feeling continues. I was in bed by 9:30 last night and asleep by 10. Woke up at midnight and told myself "not good enough" and went back to bed until 3. At 3 I took a pain pill for the throbbing but not pain and was up until 4:30 playing on my iPad and phone. Fell back to sleep until 6:50 so all together that was an excellent night sleep.
My mouth just feels weird. Not bad, just different. No swelling yet but they say that could take 72 hrs. The oral surgeon called me personally last night. I think all the discussions about my vertigo raised his concern level. He was happy to hear I was doing well. This guy is an MD as well as a DMD and we talked about the methods I use to control my dizzies. Funny, until I sat there and discussed all these issues, I never realized how much of my life is controlled by my vertigo. But I feel I'm in control most of the time. I know what I can and can't do from as simple as not looking out the window when I fly to no longer climbing up a ladder. It's a "work-around" that so many of us deal with as we age.
I am showered and dressed and am going to my crochet class. I really want to get some advice on Sandy's Dad's walker bag. Somewhere in the club's files may even be a pattern that I could adapt. Just ate a really good breakfast of vanilla yogurt mixed into some plain oatmeal. Very filling! Last night was overcooked mac n cheese so it was soft.
Annie: Enjoy your get-away! Your forgetting the tickets is like a daily occurrence lately in my life. DH makes fun of me but I see him making the same kind of errors all the time (I just don't point them out as frequently as he does to my incidents). Lists have become my life but hey, if making a list helps with my forgetfulness, it isn't harming anyone and brings me peace of mind.
Have a good day everyone.
Lauren

Good morning all
Today's goal - work focus, walks, get on the ferry before it fills up or leaves! Today's activity - walking Yesterday's s/a - I let time get away from me and didn't walk. But I didn't eat much either Yesterday's activity - a lot of running around at work! Yesterday's menu B - vegi/egg/egg white scramble L - Cobb salad D - 2 pancakes, eggs & spam
Hello - nice to see Terrie back. Terrie - it's always good to see you, my Holiday decorating queen! That's my nickname for you! I hope your boss will hold off on retiring until you are ready! I would be a pain to have to find another job for a few years when you have one you like so much now! Tell Jim Hello! We hear rumors of you via Janet & Peggy, but it's better to hear from you directly!
Yesterday was busy! The first day of Monthend - not my favorite! But I am glad Grace is still here to help this month.
And the current employee did apply - his name is Jon - we talked a bit about the position. He's probably in his 30s', older than most of the guys in that same role. Has a 4 year degree in Sociology & some other humanity field (I forgot which). Has been an teacher's asst, and taught in that role at the college level, done some programming, and also worked in a medical office (based on the name a relative of some sort). No acct or HR experience - but honestly the role doesn't need much. It's 50% HR, which is hand holding and following up, and helping employees with web-sites & benefit questions. The accounting stuff is basic, mostly just data entry, and running reports and counting cash. His boss thinks he'll be a good fit, the GM is leery. I'm inclined to give him a go though. But I need to really think it through, to make sure I'm not just taking the easy way out. And I need to call some of the other applicants too!
Last night I was exhausted when I got home from work. Greg made dinner, and I fell asleep on the couch by 7:30. I woke up at 10PM, then proceeded to watch American Idol on the DVR - both Sunday and Monday night's shows - that's 4 hours of TV! But zipping through commercials, I cut it to 3 hours! I was replying to Peggy's text at 1AM - and then this morning at 6AM - she must think I don't sleep! I got my 7 hours worth, but with a break in the middle!
Peggy & I are meeting for dinner in Oakland. At Jack London Square - she likes to go there - it's pretty close to where she's staying and they go there every time they are here for at least one dinner. I'm going to take the Ferry there - from SF's Ferry Plaza. I'll take Bart from here to Downtown SF and then transfer to the boat. I could take BART into Oakland, but the closest station is a 12 block walk, and I don't want to walk 12 blocks in Oakland. I don't know it well, and honestly am afraid, especially walking back to the station after dinner, in the dark. Jack London Square is fine - I know those few blocks better and am comfortable there. Funny - SF and Oakland are actually pretty similar, but I know SF much better and am OK with being there, walking around by myself after dark. Oakland just scares me! I know it's all in my head, and I'm probably no safer in SF than Oakland. Besides, this way I get a boat ride! Two boat rides, there & back! I'm also going to buy a clipper card - it's a card you can load $$ on for public transit and is valid on all the different transit agencies here. Bart and the boat are separate - this way I don't' have to figure out how to get tickets for each - I'll just load $$ on the card and swipe it as I board. I'll use it to go on the train to the ball park too.
I'm going to run - need to stop at Walgreens & buy that card! There's one just down the street, almost on my way to work! Have a great day all - remember to eat with HOPE and Dignity and be sure to MOVE!
Sue

Good morning, Café Friends,
Recap: Goal for today: eat according to macros Today’s Activity: weights & walk Yesterday’s Menu: B - coffee, MCT oil L - rotisserie chicken breast, avocado, Tapatío sauce S - beef jerky D - Roast lamb, Greek salad with balsamic vinegar & olive oil, gin & diet tonic Yesterday's Activity: walked the dog, Totals: 1193 cals., 101gP, 19(net)gC, 59gF
Today I’m hoping to get out to Target to look for shelving/storage options to add additional space in the bathroom vanity and my armoire as well. Tracy has accumulated a lot of things in her 10 years in that apt. Add it to my 40+ years here and you see the problems. She has purged a lot and so have I, but there’s room for more. DH needs to keep his mouth shut when he talks about my things until he goes through his stacks and stacks of old magazines and T-shirts. He has many clothes that don’t fit him anymore and he won’t give them away or toss them. Aargh!
Annie - you handled all those little hiccups in your day well. I would have been off the rails if all those things happened to me. Thankfully, mostly my forgetfulness runs to leaving my phone or Fitbit on the charger when I want them, but my life isn’t as busy with grandchildren and activities as yours is. I just hope I remember to go to jury duty on the 23rd, haha!
Terrie - again, so happy to see you back here and posting! Glad that your kids are all doing well!
Maggie - I hope Steve is feeling better and that your weekend wasn’t too weird. Inlaws can definitely be different. Sounds like those feelings of your MIL run deep from waaay back.
Janet - your 4# gain is definitely water unless you ate 14,000 extra calories. I sincerely doubt that! Don’t worry, it’ll come down. Remember the scale lies on a daily basis. It’s the overall trend you’re looking for.
I really thought I posted yesterday. I had written something out on my Notepad, but apparently never transferred them to the board. I’m down another pound on the scale this morning but won’t change my total because of just what I wrote to Janet. And I saw a new quote on my keto board this morning. It’s in regards to not snacking. “The time between meals is when good things start happening.” Fat-burning happens when your body is not actively digesting so snacking is counter productive. I need to put that into action, especially any evening snacking!
Have a great Tuesday. Hi and waves to all, eat mindfully and move something! 👟💪🏻🏋🏽♀️

Good morning friends. We’re just waking up and having our hotel breakfast which is pretty unexexciting. We have two room, adjoining. Greg and the boys in one, Zion and me in the other. The boys are all up and at’em chomping at the bit. Zion and I went to bed early and slept in. We were the quiet room last night. Ha! We have the zip line at noon and River is wanting to know what we’re doing until then. lol so cute and excited about everything.
Thanks for all the comments about yesterday. I’m normally forgetful, but yesterday was kind of amazing lol I think with it just being Easter and how depressed I’ve been my brain was kind of fried.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning girls!
Hope everyone is doing well! Todd just came to the office to say his good-byes. I hate to see him go, but I truly think he loves where he lives. Every time he comes here he is so bored. While we are at work there isn't really anything for him to do. His friends have families now and just can't do the things they use to.
Have to tell you my project that we are working on. Yes....I haven't changed always doing something. We love our back porch but the misquotes are so bad that we can not sit out there unless we spray ourselves down with off. We had a couple companies to come out and give us a bid on screening the porch in, but with our fancy columns no one wanted to tackle the job. Well...we found a company that would do it. We hired them and it is all done. We love it. Now waiting on the pollen to settle so I can paint the concrete floor. So happy with how it turned out.
Annie-sorry about the mix up on the tickets/reservation. Greg was there to save the day! YAY. Have fun girl and enjoy your time with the family.
Need to get back to work so the boss thinks I am working.
You all have a great day today! Waves to everyone!

Happy Tuesday girls. Just finished my lunch and thought I would say hello. It has been a busy day here.
Last night I went home from work and Joe had swiffered the wood floors and cleaned the bathrooms. I was so happy! I gathered the Easter decorations and got them all packed away and under the house. Gathered up the candy and put it away, so as not to be tempted. Funny how you can pop that stuff right in your mouth every time you walk by it (or at least I can!) Just need to get it out of sight and out of mind. And I'm glad to have things put away for another season.
Joe had a meeting last night so I got my pjs on and settled in for The Voice. House Hunters (on HGTV) was filmed in our area last night. It was fun to hear them mention Mt. Olive (a small town outside of Staunton) and then a house from Belleville. They never said where the 3rd home was located. Kinda cool.
We had heavy rains with thunder and lightening through the night. Supposed to have more storms and temperatures drop about 20 degrees. I heard "rain/snow mix" in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. Oh my, will spring ever get here???
Have a great Tuesday all!

Good Afternoon Y'all,
There weather here in CA is very nice... cool morning, warm sunny afternoon! I've had a busy day at the shop... too much time on my feet on concrete floors... but we finished for the day earlier than expected (because one heat exchanger won't be ready until tomorrow)... so, one down and one to go.
We're meeting Sue at 'The Fat Lady' tonight... it's a really cool restaurant... and Mark knows how to get there, I told him he's my driver this trip (well, anytime we travel together he's the driver). I'm really looking forward to some Sue time!!
I second Lauren's suggestion about a gathering that doesn't task one person with hosting... we just need to figure out when and where! I might have time in Sept this year...I know when I was in Pittsburg in Sept years ago, the weather was perfect. What do y'all think about Hershey PA? I've always heard it was a good place to go? Throw out some other places??
(((HUGS))) all, Peggy ^..^
