Good morning. I'm so tired this morning. We've had the grandpup since Friday afternoon. He is so sweet, but its like having a newborn again. He requires all our attention, which is fine. Its just for a weekend. We had beautiful sunshine here yesterday, although very cool winds with it. We got Lightening outside quite a bit. He's new to a leash and doesn't walk far. So I didn't get many steps but it was nice to be outside anyway. They let him sleep at the foot of their bed at night, so after attempting the crate next to our bed and him crying a lot, we let him in our bed. He was all over the bed the first night. Last night he did better but still wandered a bit around the bed. Of course, he napped yesterday (we should have!) and was wanting to play at 3am! It's a good thing this dog is sweet!
Kate had a cheer clinic at school yesterday and a little perfomance afterwards. She's miss attitude. She cracks me up! I took mom out to watch her perform. It lasted all of 15 minutes but was so cute.
Other than that, yesterday was a low key day. Joe and I did go to mass but came home for the dog after. Just watched television and played with the dog all evening. Trading Spaces is back on so I watched that and While You Were Out. I watched those years ago, before there were so many of those types of shows on HGTV like there are now. I'm loving following Karen's trip through photos on Fb! She looks so tiny now, compared to the cover photo on her page. I do pray she's relaxing and having an awesome trip. It does look like the trip of a lifetime.
Mom's birthday weekend continues. We took her to the KC family fish fry on Friday night at the hall. It was exceptionally good (definitely NOT OP, but I tried. It was a potluck and so many yummy choices. Then tonight my brother is grilling steaks for us for dinner. Glad we can make her feel special. She sure deserves it.
Yesterday she sent Joe some corned beef and cabbage. That stuff doesnt sit well on my tummy so I made myself a frozen cheese pizza. Not the best choice but I was too tired to think about cooking.
Annie, I hope you had a great time at your party last night!
Lauren, I know you've had a wonderful weekend with Allie and family. Jasper and Kassidy looked like they were in their glory in your pool! Warm Florida sunshine must be heavenly for them (it would be for me too!) Enjoy every second.
Peggy: Hope you have a great visit with your sister and BIL. Glad to hear Ed is cooperating with his low salt diet and avoiding fast food. It's really not good for any of us, especially him.
Barb: I agree. The news is so depressing.
Maggie: Im glad you were able to enjoy your golf outing with Steve. No one plays perfectly. Just enjoy the experience. I wish Joe could still golf. His back wont let him. He wasn't good, but he sure loved to play.

Good morning all
Today's goal - get dirty from gardening again! LOL! Today's activity - walk Yesterday's s/a - I didn't buy any chips, I did buy cookies - Greg needs to pack them in a bag so I don't have access! Yesterday's activity - walk & my hour of working in the yard. Yesterday's menu B - egg/vegi scramble, spam L - Costco Hot Dog D - Cottage Pie (similar to Shepard's Pie, but with beef instead of lamb - where do you find ground lamb?), JoJo's cookies
Another beautiful day on store for today. Walk will be the first thing on our agenda.
I had a good day yesterday. I did well shopping and got the rose bushes planted. Digging the holes is a workout I am not used to. But it is done. I made a good dinner with St. Patrick's day in mind for Greg's tastes. Corned beef & cabbage - No - ground meat and mashed potatoes - Yes. We have enough for tonights meal too, and there will be no Mac & Cheese this weekend at all. At least that's my plan! And if I have a salad for lunch, it will fit in my plan. The Costco Hot Dog was a spur of the moment decision. We didn't shop there, just had the food. Seeing those gigantic bags of Doritos - oh my. I remember the portion sizes you need to buy there - that's one reason I really don't encourage us shopping there any more. And I'm amazed by the people that come out with only 2 or 3 things in their baskets - I am so not that person! We sat outside by the entrance/exit and ate - I people watched - can you tell? My splurge item was some green socks with clovers on them. No one will pinch me today!
Today will be a repeat, minus the shopping. I hope to get the wood in the back yard moved to a better storage location. I'll work on the box breakdown project tomorrow - when Greg is gone. He hasn't noticed what I got rid of last week! HA! I'll just work on getting the green waste bin filled today.
I'm going to run - where did I put those socks?
Have a great day all. Remember to eat with HOPE and Dignity and be sure to MOVE!
Sue

Good morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Goal for today: wise choices at BJs. We’re going out to brunch. Activity for today: walk Yesterday’s Menu: B - coffee w/MCT oil, creatine, collagen, L - Turkey and beef meatloaf S - garlic-stuffed olives D - NY steak, beer brat, red wine Yesterday’s Activity - 2 walks, a lot of steps back and forth while cleaning.
Had a good day yesterday. My back and hips were cooperating so after my long walk, I tackled Robin’s bathroom and scrubbed everything down. How disgusting! He’s supposed to keep up with it, but he only cleans the inside of the toilet and the seat. He never scrubs the floor. When I got done with that mess, I changed out my dining room linens (I got a new tablecloth for Christmas) and washed them up and put my white roses (the ones I got for my birthday from Tracy) on the table. Looks pretty nice if I do say so myself.
Depending on how I feel this afternoon after my walk, I’ll work on another room of the house. This is how I clean since I can’t do it all in a day. If I kept up with Flylady, I might be able to, but even she advocates working in an area or room for a week. Some of my rooms will take more than a week, I think. I need a couple of days to clear clutter (thinking about my office) and the rest to clean. I’m not virtuous in the housecleaning dept. That gene skipped me and went to my sister. I’m not a slob, but I do have clutter and don’t look in the corners very closely. I don’t ever move furniture to clean unless it’s lightweight and accessible. And I don’t get the concept of spring cleaning at all. 🤣
It’s taking me forever to write this - I keep getting interrupted so think I’ll go find some coffee and pry my eyelids open. I had lots of sleep last night, but I’m still tired. Maybe not such good quality. Have a good day, eat mindfully and move something! 👟💪🏻🏋🏽♀️

Good afternoon. This has been a lazy day. I can barely keep my eyes open. I did get outside and pick up all the sticks and limbs that blew down from the trees in our 60mph winds the other day. Got them all hauled across the street to our burn pile. And I got a pot of chicken noodle soup made. That's about it for me for accomplishments today. I need to get up here in a few and get myself together and get ready to go to my brother's house for dinner.
Becky text me that she's been up all night with the stomach flu. There are several in their group that were sick with high fevers last night. It will be a long trek home for her today. I hope she can get comfortable and just sleep all the way home. It'll take them about 5 hours I think. That's a long time when you are sick in the car. The boys didn't fare so well in the state championship, but then they didn't expect that they would. I just hope Bryce enjoyed the experience.
Hope you all are having a great St. Patricks day!
