Who else is prepping for a trap avoiding weekend? I'm going to my first in person WW workshop since 2/20/2020. Going to accept quite the gain (big night out last night) and start pointing the ship in the right direction again. fitin14, pirouette, sweetmarsh52, gemellus, Cyn, Emily.Postal, beherenow, ontosomething, charlotte21, phoenix, digplantweed, lindabee, lumberjack55, wendroz, corgi, mary~m, peacemama, bunzoni, tina1966mi, mollyrox, melbre, Emily.Postal, irisinnia, gracie

I am up for no reason I can figure out. The trap is believing that "it" does not work or pay off. What I will do is ignore the idea just like I ignore most intrusive nonsense ideas

phoenix, good attitude! Are you returning to in person workshops soon when the vaccination rates are higher? Went for the first time since 2.20.20 yesterday and it was nice to see some of the old crew.

mare - I hope you saw a better number than you anticipated. You’ve motivated me to look at meeting times for a studio that is the closest to me. I think it would be nice to weigh in in person to see how close I am to goal and help me stay motivated to get there. I had a good weekend after a rough week. It felt good to end strong. I hope you all had a nice weekend. Beck on!

Breakthroughs and death of the fully vaccinated my age ,long haulers who have only had a mild case and suffer on , and my level of caution will not be having me indoors for any reason for a while longer. I am not suffering from quarientien fatigue, my DH is working from home and we do lots of stuff together during the day. I have been doing some big projects that keep me busy . My DD visits for coffee dates on Zoom and we have lots of celebrations that way . Recently we did a big Spring wardrobe shopping spree , thank you Amazon. I will never go back to shopping for food in a store and restaurants deliver . I see many of my neighbors daily out for a walk, we chat from opposite sides of the street . I like seeing people's faces which means zoom is better than sitting face forward with a mask on as far as I am concerned. I found a leader on Zoom I adore . I do feel sorry for the extroverts who are suffering. I resent that they feel the need to push everyone get back to normal as fast as possible . Some of us did not like "their" normal world built to their advantage .

phoenix, glad you've found what works! I think the virtual is here to stay especially given the number of centers closed.

I seem to be confused as to where we are on the boards and which thread I should post to...haha
Since it's Wednesday, I'll post here.

lindabee, that's because I have been inconsistent! There are new traps Mondays and Thursdays then in theory I will tag over here in between days. Then there's the Beck alumni thread for anyone who wants to post about the full program. Sometimes people post in both. Up to you!

Hello all,
I have some activities with my dogs which will entail some exercise. That will be a fun way to get in steps.
Tomorrow we are getting together with friends for dinner and that will be nice.
Sunday will be my day to catch up on chores and do some meal planning for the week.
Have a great night and weekend!

I spent time going over my weight record for the last 6 month . After that I went over the past year . I gave myself credit for all the managing I have done and felt good about the very slow progress . Of the 5 pounds I gained in January I have lost 2 so far . Spring is here and over all I am in a better head space . The improvement comes from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel .

phoenix, your post inspired me to look over my weight loss chart from when I joined Noom last July 11. Recently, I've been telling myself I could have done better if I avoided several off-track times and the upward spikes that came with them. But OTOH, I've lost 38.8 pounds since last July, and that is something to take credit for and celebrate. The downward trend over time is the key.

Just took time to read holiday traps and getting off track traps. Giving myself space and credit to keep plugging even though far from perfect. I seem to not be willing to follow WW the ENTIRE day so for now my focus is on learning some new healthy habits. One is eating vegetables daily. The other is eating dinner between 5:30 to 7:30. Giving myself credit as often as I can. My mistakes WILL NOT derail me. Summer coming. :-)

digplantweed, Your chart looks amazing . You are doing a fantastic job and gaining habits to sustain you for a lifetime . I have been at or below my goal weight for 11.5 years . I find it important to go over yearly trends as well as year over year trends .FYI The average weight loss in a one year period is 35 pounds . What is sad about that is most people are so disappointed that it was not 75 pounds or what they deem acceptable (50 pounds) that they gain it all back in 6 months to a year . 13 years ago I made Weight Loss secondary to building habits and maintence . The first year after goal took a higher level of vigilance than I expected since then WOW it's a new world .

digplantweed, high five on your WLJ! That is fabulous! The graph reminds me that I use to focus on my monthly trends and made sure that they were headed downward. I need to do that again.

The first year after goal took a higher level of vigilance than I expected since then WOW it's a new world . Yes, this is what I expect. I expect to reach my goal by the end of the summer, and the following year will require particular vigilance. Some people say "diets don't work." The truth is, it seems to me, diets DO work and going back to old habits after losing weight is what doesn't work.
