lani, this one is extra long because we are going with our daughter who lives in SoCal. So we are flying to LA and then going via the Pacific. Normally we fly over the Atlantic from NYC. We get an extra day in LA because I wanted some buffer in case of weather so time to stretch out and relax. We wanted to fly together. On the way back, we fly into LAX and then she goes home and we take the red eye back to NYC the same night.

Feb 15 credits: I was mindful of what I ate at lunch so that we could all go out to dinner together. Didn’t eat bread at dinner and split a salad and a pizza with my daughter - leftover pizza came home and into my nephew’s fridge for them to eat later. Feb 16-17 credits: On a very long flight. It is now early morning on Sat Feb 18 as I wait for the last bit of the trip. Ate the meal on the first leg, skipped the one before we landed in Tokyo except for dessert since my first meal only had fruit for dessert. Feb 18 credits: Arrived at family home after a really long flight. I ate on the plane here so I didn’t eat breakfast and ate normally at lunch and dinner. It was a long day because it started in a different time zone! Starting today I’m back to my 2 meals a day in a single time zone. Read cards Gave myself credit

Feb 19 credits: Skipped breakfast, avoided ice cream mid afternoon and didn’t eat dessert at night Lunch was part of a religious ritual so there was a lot of food. I concentrated on the vegetables because there was a huge variety of vegetables that we don’t get in the US. But still too much food. This is the last day of our vacation within a vacation so the last day for any real physical exertion. After this it is just time with family for a few days till we return, which means more food and less exercise!
