I keep the principles in mind and try to stick to them as much as possible. prednisone is still kicking my ample ass.... on a second course and its really hard to not eat too much!

fitin14, prednisone sucks. I am now pretty sure I have a sinus infection. Just texted the doctor's office (they are 24/7) for an appointment tomorrow. Haven't heard back but I should some time today I have very little appetite and am mostly eating toast and some crackers and blueberries. The post-nasal drip is making me feel sick.

ermabom, I hope you get some relief soon. I postponed my cooking until today, but already have my big pot of spicy black bean soup cooling on the stove before I puree it, and 2 trays of cubed eggplant and some orange and yellow peppers roasting. I'll put together spinach pie filling to stuff into some mini peppers and bake a bit later on. It's nice and rainy and cool today, perfect weather for having the oven going a bit.

Ermabom, I hope the meds are finally helping.
I had an epiphany. If I think of my meals in food porn terms, they seem much more satisfying and less WWery. For instance, today I had a delightful serving of spicy black bean pureed soup, topped w a swirl of Greek yogurt sprinkled w chili lime seasoning, and diced avocado. I've been tracking. I got almost 2 hours of walkabout in on the lakefront path yesterday, so I got activity. I'm feeling more relaxed about the process/routines I've been setting up for giving Sweetie all her meds.

Cyn , I refuse to eat anything that I don't absolutely love. I have learned how to prepare and consume mostly healthy food that I love and drink, and allow myself as many not-so-healthful treats as I can get away with.

lani, I agree. I most definitely learned it's so important to love what I eat and eat what I love. I'm just having some real trouble this time settling myself into my WL process, so I'm trying anything I can to help myself get into it. 😬🙂

lani, yes they are kicking in. Last night was broken up with coughing though. I found an ancient cough syrup (OTC) although there is a codeine one there also from 2012! I took the OTC one and it helped for the 4 hours that it lasts. Then I woke up coughing again. Took it again and went back to sleep. I'm going to buy a new bottle on my way back from the ob/gyn checkup today. So better but still not fully ok. Jul 4 credits: Read cards Logged food Used habit tracker Gave myself credit - resisted some STs before bed but did end up snacking when I woke up coughing and couldn't get back to sleep. Didn't do the second time though! First time I took the pillows downstairs and thought I could fall asleep on the couch to keep myself more upright. Wrong! That's when I went rooting in the cabinets to see what I could take. Both ancient cough syrups will be discarded today after I get a new bottle

ermabom , Del-sym has a 12 hour suspension release cough syrup that I swear by-helps me sleep. Walgreen's has a version of it called Cough DM. It was a real help during Covid (along w Mucinex.)
