It's Thursday! Yesterday I was busy with work and also was able to get the house a little better organized. Fixed dinner, the Hello Fresh italian chicken subs were a hit - even Cody ate it. I just had to fix his without the peppers. The sauce was a mix of sour cream, mayo, garlic powder, s&p. It was tasty!
Today I am going to go into the office for a bit. Both boys work today/this evening and then I'll be teaching at the Y, and James will be working on the later side. Seems like a good easy dinner night! I'm in the fun countdown time for my cruise as we leave a week from Sunday. So many people around here have the flu so I am hoping we all stay healthy, that's one negative of cold weather trips! I may take some extra vitamin C leading up to it. Scheduled our pedicures (me, Jen & Kim) for next Wednesday. eek!
Hope you all have a great day!
B: protein water, something else TBD L: ham sammy w/ LO honeybaked ham, chips, cuties D: leaning towards LO lasagna & a salad Exercise: teaching MixxedFit

Good morning! Definitely doesn't feel like it's almost Friday but glad that's the case! I still feel like crap and it got worse as the day went on yesterday so I made an appointment with my PCP for this afternoon. The sore/swollen throat is the most annoying thing since I can barely eat (truly my nightmare!) but my whole body also started feeling achy where even laying on the couch feels uncomfortable so I'll see what they say. I was kind of paranoid about going since I was given antibiotics back in July when I was sick and I know you're not supposed to take them too often, but I'll defer to whatever the doctor thinks.
I'm WFH today and feel fine to work- sitting upright in a chair is probably the most comfortable position anyway, and it helps that it should be a quiet work day. I have a call at 2 that I may reschedule. I put on gym clothes out of habit when I woke up but will probably skip that and may just go for a walk or something. The rain finally stopped but looks like it'll be pretty cloudy all day today, but in the low 50s so not too bad. Still enjoying seeing all the Christmas lights this week! And turning my tree/decorations on, but will take that stuff down either this weekend or after NYD. I get sad when the holidays are over but also always feel ready to just have them totally behind me!
A: none/walk
Meals are TBD.. just had some scrambled eggs which were OK to eat, but probably will stick with softer foods. Luckily I made a giant batch of Tex Mex quinoa in the crock pot last night which is pretty soft and should be easier to swallow.

Despite Lily's walking issues, she did very well traveling, understanding that she had to do something. Not our usual walks but enough. She had her blood work done yesterday. Depending on the results, the vet offered a few options for her anxiety. First, though, we rule out medical. Had a great time at our niece's house both Christmas eve and Christmas morning. Lily went with us in the morning. Then it was on to my cousin's for a small but very nice gathering. Last was the day after party at friends. This may be the last one as Nick's health keeps declining and more and more falls on Barbara. Yesterday was a scramble to get everything done. Today is very busy but not crazy and I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend.
S - Usual coffee B - Full frittata breakfast L - Buffalo rutabaga D - Forgot to take something out. Maybe just a sandwich. E - Walking and stretching
