Happy Hump Day!!
We got around 6 inches yesterday. It's calm today, but Friday looks like another BIG round of snow. Sunday, the temperatures really drop into negative digits. Below zero all next week as well. Winter has definitely arrived :-(
In the house again today, hoping to venture out tomorrow. Going to make a pot of Chicken Wild Rice Soup for Dinner tonight. It's a Skinnytaste recipe.
Going to walk on the treadmill later this morning. Hoping that doesn't aggravate my shoulder. Advil definitely helps, but hoping to start weening off of it.
Here's my menu;
B = Coffee with SF Creamer Scrambled eggs with Ham and Spinach, slice of Toast
L = Solid White Tuna with cherry tomatoes and light Italian Dressing
S = Apple
D = Chicken Wild Rice Soup
Have a nice day everyone ~

Good morning and happy hump day! So far this 5-day week is going at about the right pace I guess, although weirdly I kept thinking Monday was Tuesday (guess I got used to the 4 day week?!) We got a lot of rain and wind yesterday and the roads were flooded in parts but my drive home was OK. Sounds like a lot of downed trees, power outages and road closures in the area though. The wind was definitely scary last night. Kept hearing various objects banging around outside and was worried something would come through the window but no damage on my block that I can see (at least from a quick glance). I guess a rowhome is about the safest type of structure in a bad storm since it's connected to other houses on both sides but still always a bit scary! Susi, hope you're OK!
Not too much going on today. I'm home and have a prep call with a client this afternoon for a hearing on Friday but otherwise not too much on the calendar. I got a lot done the last couple days so things seem to be in pretty good shape at the moment which is a good spot to be in! (For now at least.. seems like whenever I start to feel caught up, something major/urgent falls in my lap!) Another quiet night tonight. This cough is still kicking my ass, thinking maybe it's RSV based on how long it's lasting, and I think RSV is really just cold/cough symptoms in adults and it seems to really be going around. But just grateful to not have any other symptoms, and hopefully filling my sick quota for the next few years! At least working out has been fine, generally opens my lungs so they feel better than the rest of the day!
A: Peloton- 40 min cardio HIIT, 20 min full body strength
B: 1 egg, 1/2 cup egg whites scrambled with arugula and goat cheese S: apple with peanut butter L: leftover aloo gobi with brown rice S: blueberries D: pasta bolognese with roasted broc
Hope everyone has a great day!

I was already asleep but my sister said from 9-11 the winds were very scary. I didn't go to the gym as I was worried about flooding in the dark. And I was right. There is flooding in places that I have never seen flooded since Sandy. I still have a fear of wind since Sandy. Flooding remains an issue for now. Hopefully by the time I go in, some more will subside. Excited to finally get my CT scan done today. I am so tired of living in pain and want to get this done and over with!
S - Usual coffee B - Carrot cake oatmeal with cream cheese frosting and crushed almonds L - Farro balsamic roast brussels salad D - Chicken sausage, peppers, onion, Velveeta on a 3pt Italian roll E - Walking and stretching.
