Good morning! Last day of work before we leave, can't wait! Today shouldn't be bad but I'm ready to get it over with. I have a couple of Zoom motion hearings at 2 which shouldn't be too bad since I only filed a partial response so they don't primarily involve me. I have a manicure at noon and also the repair guy is coming at 8 to fix the leak. But work-wise I'm pretty much where I wanted to be with everything else.
Our flight is at 6 am tomorrow so it'll be an early morning but hopefully I'll be tired for the second, longer flight. We have a 2 hour layover at LAX then the 12 hour flight to Tokyo. I did get us exit row seats that are the front of our section so we have miles of leg room which should help a lot. I try to get up to stretch a lot on flights like that. And at least compared to going to Thailand or Australia, it's not quite as long!
We're spending 5 days in Tokyo, 4 days in Kyoto, 2 days in Osaka, then the last day back in Tokyo before we fly out. We booked a ramen and sake tour and a couple of omakase sushi dinners in Tokyo which should be delicious, and have a day trip to Hakone planned where you can get some nice views of Mt. Fuji. In Kyoto we're doing a guided hike to see the Fushimi Inari (a shrine in Kyoto) and I think doing a sushi making class. No plans yet for Osaka but it's a big city so should be easy enough to do anything, and eat lots of good street food! Seems like there are a lot of cool cocktail bars in Tokyo and Osaka too. Our friends gave us a bunch of suggestions. Should be a great trip!
We get back on Tuesday 4/9 but I'm off 4/10 and have in-person depos on 4/11 so may not make it back on here until that Friday, but hope everyone has a nice rest of their week(s) and Easter, etc.!
A: Peloton.. 30 min cardio HIIT, 30 min full body strength
B: fried egg/egg white with avocado on 2 slices light whole wheat toast
S: apple with peanut butter
L: leftover cashew cauliflower coconut curry with brown rice and broccoli
S: banana
D: leftover crockpot pizza quinoa
